My daughter and I ordered the recent holiday feast to bake at home for Christmas Eve. It was meant for 4-6 people so we figured we'd have plenty of leftovers. And leftovers we had, for days and days. After Christmas eve, we ate lunch and dinner from those leftovers for another 3 days. It was worth every penny ($149.99 feast + $19.46 taxes/employer mandate + $30 tip). Included: A harvest Wellington (nuts and mushrooms inside...hearty and delicious with a crust that baked up beautifully), green bean almondine with herbed butter (beans stayed al dente even when re-heated), citrus-glazed carrots with pecans, garlic mashed potatoes, sage and onion stuffing (BIG cubes of chewy bread with edges that crisped up nicely in the oven), mac and cheese, thyme gravy, and cranberry sauce (pleasantly surprised us with a smoky flavor). Also included: A very detailed instruction sheet. Many timers were set! With the exception of what should be an easily fixable issue with the carrots (see below), everything was delicious, fresh, and restaurant quality. When we picked up, someone came out from the back to review the contents and instructions with us. My only constructive comments, if Next Level reads this: 1. The carrots were very much on the salty side and had to be eaten in combination with the mashed potatoes to balance out the salt; we were able to enjoy them this way but wish they could have stood on their own 2. Speaking of the mashed potatoes, the quantity was enormous, thank you (I regret not freezing the extras); however, maybe next year you could give less of this and more of the terrific stuffing? AMAZING vegan burgers. I got the american chzburger and absolutely loved it. I also got a holiday sugar cookie shake, which was delicious but I probably wouldn't get it again. Flavorwise 10/10 but the cookie chunks were a little too big for the straw so they kept getting stuck and the texture of the shake could have been thicker (I got soy, not sure if coconut has a big difference). Burgers are a must try though, I would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. The place is connected by stairs to a Whole Foods, and is pretty spacious with a clean bathroom. My little loves this eatery. He didnt realize it was vegan until we finished our food and he said it tasted different. I explained that there was no animal product in the entire meal. Not sure if its the fascination, but he asks to eat here whenever we are in the area. He loves their grilled cheese, shakes, and onion rings. I have enjoyed their spicy burgers (careful the hot sauce is really spicy) and chicken sandwiches. The staff are kind and patient while we order and ask questions. The double gave me 35 grams of protein for those count! Added House special sauce. SWEET POTATO FRIES w/ORGANIC KETCHUP ($.75 extra). CLASSIC BURGER dressed w/lettuce, tomato, and onions, mustard, no mayo (preference), was huge with the double patties so maybe if you're not (I was) ravenous a single patty will do. Also had a house sauce. This was a juicy, smoky burger that did not have me missing meat. Only drawback was more than half way through, the bun was disintegrating a bit. They did toast the inside but may be a light toast on the outside would help. I'd order this again. SWEET POTATO CRINKLE FRIES were crisp and hot from the fryer! Really like this place! Fresh ingredients. Everything is organic. The lettuce is so crispy & crunchy. I didn't want something heavy but I ma big fan of burgers. Finally stumbled into this place and was blown away by the selections. I had the Maverick burger which is Impossible meat, onion rings, bbq sauce, special sauce, lettuce tomatoes and thee best dill pickles I've ever had on a burger. The person at the front took our order and was super attentive to the table bringing us what we needed as they noticed! Next Level Burger is America's first 100 percent plant-based burger joint. I dedicated an entire trip to San Francisco to try this place for myself. I've had Plant Power Fast Food back in Los Angeles and that opened the doors for me to try more vegan fast food. I got myself the PubChz Burger ($15), the Fire Chik'n Burger ($11.50), a large Onion Rings ($8) with Ghost Pepper Ranch ($0.75), and the Small Organic Strawberry Shake with Soy Whipped Cream ($8). PubChz Burger (5/5) - Encompasses the heart and soul of quality bar food. It's a burger with pretzel buns and their special melted cheese. And I mean, *melted* cheese. Just look at the image I posted, and you'll see what I mean. You may not get out of this one without a few stains on your shirt. Sauerkraut was such a great addition. Somehow the right amount of salt and flavor with all of those ingredients put together. Fire Chik'n Burger (5/5) - It's spicy and the ingredients are fresh. Certainly has the edge over the Chic-Fil-A deluxe spicy burger, if that's even a fair comparison. Large Onion Rings (3/5) - It's nice to have onion rings that anyone can eat. Usually, onion rings contain buttermilk, and as a lactose-intolerant person, I accept my fate whenever I purchase this item. But let's not kid ourselves here about the size. 6 rings for $8 is outrageous. I honestly thought I got myself the small size until I looked at the receipt. Comes with BBQ sauce. Small Organic Strawberry Shake (4.5/5) - Yep, that is the signature strawberry we know and love! Smooth and creamy. Added a soy whipped cream to lean into the dessert identity, but the place can accommodate Hard to mess this one up. Friendly staff. Clean tables. Amazing place for a vegan. I have been here twice and everything I have had has been exceptionally good. I generally avoid Beyond or Impossible burgers and would rather have a house-made burger patty. On both occasions, the burger I ate has been great. I came up 30 cents short on my order and the person at the register just told me, "don't worry about it." They even brought out ice water to our table without being asked! I customized my Signature burger with pepperjack "chz" which was very flavorful. The mushroom-quinoa patty was okay - I tend to prefer a less mushy consistency. The burger was well put together overall and the sauce complemented the rest of the flavors well. I also got a peanut butter cup shake (coconut base) which was nice and thick. Thanks to a recent Yelp Elite event, I finally got a chance to check it out and man, it was delicious!! Who knew veggie burgers and vegan shakes can taste so good! Given that it was my first time here, I had no clue what to order. Marlene was super helpful and gave me some great recommendations. I made myself a meal and had their artisan signature burger, next level mint chocolate chip shake and some tater tots. While the mushroom burger itself was mushier than a meat patty, the taste was there. It felt good eating so clean for a change given that everything is all plant based. So glad that I got to try Next Level, it's a great lunch/dinner option in the area, especially after doing some grocery shopping. Since our first visit, we have gone back already a few other times for more shakes and there are definitely more items on their menu that we still want to try! Yelp elite event- it was my first time trying veggie burgers. I was hesitant on have a dry or card board like dish or texture. They are located as Ted on the bottom floor inside of whole foods. They only had street parking which is fine. The store is spacious and clean. They also have indoor dine in. All the staff are required to wear face masks and gloves which is amazing. The cashier is also super nice he was patient and friendly. He took the time to recommend his favorite cheese pairing and drink. But I did look up some of my own pairings. I got the classic with pepper jack cheese. And I also got the peanut butter cup shake. Their are two options for the milk either soy or coconut. I was not sure which one to choose so I asked the cashier what he recommended and he suggested soy. He say soy milk gives the drink a creamier and thicker consistency. Whereas, the coconut milk might have a strong coconut flavor to the peanut butter. I loved the texture and flavor. It was amazing and didn't taste like a vegan drink at all. It also had chunks or chocolate and peanut butter . The burger was juicy, flavorful and delicious. It honestly does not taste vegan. I can't wait to come back to try other items. read more

This hidden gem is located in the bottom floor inside Whole Food. It's located right below the steps from the customer service reception. There plenty of street parking or you can park inside Wholes Food parking lot. Although there was only 1 person working in the front (cash register, taking the customers orders, making the shakes/drinks, and packaging food for take out and dine-in), they were pretty fast. There was 3 take out orders before mine and I only waited around 6ish minutes. I got their signature burger with smoked Gouda. (You get to choose your cheese preference!). It included 2 thick slices of avocado, lettuce, cheese of your choice, and a quinoa patty. The quinoa patty was perfectly seasoned and moist. It balanced really well with the avocado. If I didn't read the menu, I wouldn't have noticed that this was a veggie burger. I also got their cookie and cream milk shake! For milk sake, you get to choose soy, coconut or both! I choose soy. Next level fills an important gap in the SF vegan scene. Well, admittedly, there are many gaps but they come through specifically on the fast food burger experience. Somehow in my mind I see Next Level as offering something slightly different than Vegan Burg, which I also love. Proportionally and taste-wise, I would compare Next Level more to a traditional fast food experience. That being said, Next level has a lot of options and can be customized quite a bit. They've also got excellent fry and salad options. The fries that come with their special sauce are downright magical. And their kale caesar hits all the right spots. And as a new bonus, Next Level also has their new Clucker brand offering out of this same location. So, if like me, you are into chicken sandwiches you could switch your attention to the other menu.
