I took my laptop in (per a referral from an old friend after calling around to 7+ other computer repair stores) as it crashed on me one day. Work laptop day-to-day usage but it started making clinking noises all of a sudden, turned out it was a catastrophic hd failure. Be aware of this company they don't warranty the work. They came 2 times still have problems with the network had to get a different company to come and fix the issue. Watch out. **response** It wasn't a different problem. It was our wifi not working, which they set up on the first visit. We were able to use the wired network to get by but they had to come and adjust the settings on the wifi to get it to work. After we explained that they should warranty the work since they had JUST set it up, they decided to leave us a bad review to strong arm us into paying them for something they should have done right the first time. This place has amazing customer service and I am very happy I came here as opposed to another IT place! Firstly, I came during the outdated (at the time) Yelp hours, and the store had been technically closed for an hour! I walked up to the door to check the hours, and as I was leaving Steven came out and opened the door for me. I ended up getting my MacBook checked in that day even though I accidentally came during off hours! (Thank you Steven!) My MacBook Pro is 6-7 years old, and was running very slowly. They gave me a diagnostic and let me know that all I needed was a tune up and more RAM (i had 4GB) in order to run better. When I came to retrieve my MacBook, Matt made sure to answer any further questions and let me try out my laptop to make sure I was happy with the outcome. I was greeted right away, what can we help you with says Steve. The place looks so professionally ran, and clean. Take a look at their fabulous website. Diagnostics came back, needed a new mother board and matching battery with the appropriate model of my Mac. These guys use nothing but OEM, they don't mess around. The check in of your items was easy. They keep you posted every step of the way. Next IT will call you and if you're not reached, they'll leave a voicemail, text and email. The communication is superb. I never felt so comfortable entrusting my personal computer anywhere. I am SO glad I came here. I came in on a Friday (around 10AM) and spoke to Matt about the problems with my custom built gaming computer. It had been overheating and shutting off out of no where! I thought I might need to change my liquid coolant cause I admittedly hadn't in a while.. but it turned out that the type of system that was in my computer, had a life expectancy of a few years, not 6 months like I had thought. That's when I knew these guys were honest. They weren't just trying to sell me something I didn't need and informed me I could still run my computer on that liquid cooling system for maybe a year or so. Then I let him know him that it had been overheating and he said it could've been.. some other technical term that I forget. He said he'd run a free diagnostic test for me like they do for everyone and let me know what was wrong with it. Before I left, Matt also notified me about the $20 discount I could get for checking in so he applied that for me with no problems! I asked when I might be able to get my computer back and he said I could probably get it by the next day :D I would've been really bummed if I didn't get to play any Overwatch the entire weekend.. I got an email from Josiah later that night letting me know the different issues with my computer. He said that there was no problem with my liquid coolant and that my computer was not overheating so not to worry about that. Though he did mention that my computer had problems blue screening because of issues related to drivers/software. I was having problems with the blue screen of death and I completely forgot to even mention that to Matt! So I was very impressed when THEY were the ones to bring it up to ME! The other problem was that my computer had a lot of temporary data/cache which could have also been contributing to the blue screens. They notified me that they could definitely fix the problem and most likely not have to format my computer, which was SUCH a relief. But even if they had to, they would've just backed everything up. Another issue Matt informed me of was that the fan in my computer was not installed correctly. That was yet another problem that I completely forgot to mention to Matt that he was able to find on his own. When I first got the computer, the fan would sometimes stop, so I plugged it into another port and it started working. I guess it still wasn't properly installed. He then told me he fixed the problem, free of charge! He even cleaned the inside of my computer and the radiator for me :) Oh.. ANOTHER problem that Matt later mentioned to me while informing me that I could go pick my computer up, was that the WiFi adapter that came with the computer was no good. It was not compatible with my computer. Thanks iBuyPower. Real professional. Good thing I had my own adapter that I already used for the computer. I didn't even know that thing he found was a wifi adapter. But still, how are you gonna give someone something that isn't even compatible with the computer you built? -_- The great thing is, after Next IT finds these problems, they inform you of the issues with your computer and then ask you if you want them to continue trying to fix these problems. I've been to IT Repair places before that just went ahead and did whatever they wanted to do to my computer without letting me know first and then billing me later. I almost thought that was the normal thing to do! But these guys give you a FREE diagnostics test and then ASK you if you want them to continue fixing the problems they found. When I came back to pick my computer back up on Saturday (around 5PM), I was greeted by Steven who was super friendly and helpful with any last questions I had. About a week after I got my computer, they called to follow up on how the computer was running. I was unable to answer as I was at work but I thought that was very refreshing. These guys really care about each computer brought to them and genuinely want to help you fix yours. I have to say everyone was always very nice and knowledgeable but I was very upset when I had my computers worked on one week and then the following week I called to set up another appointment only to have Tim tell me he was sorry but he could no longer help me because they had changed to contracting only. Problem: no internet connectivity from Cat5 connections in various rooms around my home. Some rooms were getting internet connection. Some weren't. I reached out to electricians but none could do this type of "low voltage" work. Some even wanted to charge me for coming out to diagnose the problem even though this work likely didn't fall within their expertise. Solution: Next IT. After an inquiry, Justin got a hold of me and told me this is definitely in their line of work. I was thrilled! He got me in contact with Jason, the technician, who was out to my house within a few hours. Jason fixed the issue with no problem at all. My home is connected again! So basically, it's a really long story but since I have my laptop fixed and I can type it instead of pecking away at my iPad, I will post the entire story. My laptop failed to turn on after I didn't use it for a month. I assumed it was the battery and bought a new one and installed it myself. Still, the same problem ensued. Next IT was one of the highest rated computer repair shops I found near me and on top of that they were open late and had free diagnostics. I dropped off my laptop on 7/20 and waited for the call. Justin called me back on 7/25 telling me that my laptop needed a tune-up and had malware. He quoted me $160, ($65 for one process and $95 for the other). I didn't want to get my computer fixed, but I have a lot of important files/documents on it and rationalized that I could pay $160 for my memories back. I confirmed with him twice and he assured me the computer would be fixed the same day. I headed to the shop after work and after I told them my pick-up info, they looked frazzled. I could hear them talking in the back about how no one fixed it. However, when they came to tell me, they said my computer had more serious issues that they thought. Weird, right? I understand that people make mistakes and if it were the case where they simply forgot to fix it, I would have been okay with that. Human error happens, I get it. I was disappointed because I felt like they were lying about it, but that could just be that I am overly suspicious of people. Anyways, I came back the next day after the other owner called me saying the job was done (for real). Notes: -The guys working there were kinda awkward, but it could just be because they're typical it/tech guys. -I have all my Google chrome browsers synced across all devices and I could see what they were using my browser for from another computer. They were googling stuff on how to fix my computer. Awkward. -They honored the Yelp discount and took off an additional $20. -Told them at drop off that I installed the new battery, but the guy at pickup made it seem like they installed the old battery I dropped off with my laptop. So I have no idea which battery is inside my laptop... Conclusion: They got the job done and my laptop works so whatever. 3/5. read more

Was in the market for a new computer after my HP computer with windows 7 of two years blew up from playing an old game that can run on windows 98. After visiting five major retail stores who failed to show me a computer that nearly matches the specifics of what I was looking for (Core i7, GeForce GTX 760, etc.) and enduring salesmen being pushy and trying to get me to buy one of their unsought computers (they were usually only i5 and some lower graphics of 600 and around), I resorted to looking up on yelps for other computer shops and decided to give a call to see if anyone has or can build the computer that I desired. Saw Larson Custom PC and Repair and conveniently, it was near home. Gave a phone call, met Ryan and asked if he has the computer I sought for already in stock. He answered no but after asking if he can build one, the answer was yes. He offered to make a quote and very patiently with plenty of relevant information, he talked me through some parts of the computer and even recommended or mentioned what parts can be better. For example, the computer that I sought for was Core i7 but he said it can be upgraded to one of the k versions of the i7 and instead of HDD, he suggested SSD. I happily agreed to upgrades. The whole phone conversation was extremely wonderful since it felt like I was talking to someone who genuinely cared and knew what I was seeking and looking for in a computer. And when he recommended the parts, it was truly just a suggestion on his part and I never once felt that pushy feeling of trying to get me to buy something better. Got the quote in an email and to my suprise, it was actually at a very affordable price compared to what those retail stores ask for their best computer (not to mention outdated and slow)! After seeing the quote, immediately went to their shop and went through the paperwork (took only less than ten minutes) to get them building the computer as soon as possible. About a week later, they finished building the computer and very kindly showed off the computer's parts, how it works, etc. at my request before boxing it. And now, as I'm typing this review on my brand new computer, I must say...Ryan and Josiah really know how to build an amazing computer! I can play up to three games at a high fps at high graphics without breaking a sweat. If I had more mouses and keyboards and arms, maybe five? But thanks to both Ryan and Josiah for building such an amazing and beautiful (yes it looks sexy) computer!!! I'm so glad I didn't blow money on an outdated computer (which at times cost more than my brand new computer built by the Larsons) at one of those retails.
