Kitchen is VERY slow! We waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive and the restaurant was less than half full. We asked the waitress if we could get chocolate milk with the kids meal. We WERE NOT told that it would cost an extra $1.99. (If we had known that we wouldn't have ordered it.) The Breakfast Sandwich was $12.99 and not worth it. We definitely WILL NOT be coming here again.

Overcooked dry pork tenderloin. Dog gets a treat.

We were hoping to eat at Mongs but there was a line out the door. Yelp said this was open. It was cold inside due to air conditioner so I wore my jacket. Ordered pork tenderloin grilled and no bun. Also ordered sweet potato salad as side. The pictures are so deceiving from before, as the pork tenderloin is not that big. Mine was hard to cut and dry. So disappointing from yesterday where mine was really good at another restaurant. Told the waitress about it and she could have got the manager, but I'll just bring home for my dog. There was alot or excess arugula so I asked for some Balsamic. The sweet potato salad was yummy with sweet potatoes, bacon, mayo and seasoning. Pork Tenderloin sandwiches are supposedly classic menu items in Iowa.

I came here for dinner while in town. There was one other table seated and then just me but I think this is more of a breakfast place. They had a great breakfast selection. I got a Reuban sandwich with garlic parmesan fries. They also had a beer special on the Sam Adam's oktoberfest. So of course I had that too. It has a diner feel to it. The food came out super fast and was great! It was a great atmosphere and would be fun for breakfast. They said they have amazing bloody Mary's that are like a meal in them self.

Love coming here for free fry Friday! One of the best pork sandwiches in Iowa hands down. It can feed 3 people easy! Fun place with a cool staff

Disappointed. The wrap was $9.95 with no side and more wrap than filling. Very slim sprigs of lettuce and piece of onion. We also ordered a grilled cheese and add tomato...no tomato. The basil coleslaw is NOT made with fresh basil, but dry spice and does not taste like basil at all. The sweet potato chips are good.

Hands Den Best BLT Ever! Stopped in looking for a light meal and deciding on the BLT or the Adult Grilled Cheese. Recommend the BLT and it is by far the best I have had ever. The beacon was Christ and a thick cut which gave the sandwich great texture. The sauce -Oh My Goodness. On the sourdough bread was the star of the sandwich. Only complaint- I should have ordered two. I will make it a point find a reason to drive back this way for one to go!

I came here during a business trip and was told to go have the pork sandwich here. I what a great place in downtown Waterloo. The pork sandwich I was great. I also ordered cheese curds. Both are a real good. I would recommend anybody that is hungry for a large sandwich to choose this.

A friend and I shared a breakfast - they plated it separately without us even asking - and it was plenty for us. Of course, the Bloody Mary was like an extra breakfast - delicious! The service was great!

Nice little breakfast place where An old jewelry store used to be The sausage had a great flavor to it and they were very generous with the hash Brown portions. The waitress was very friendly as were other locals who enjoyed chatting away

Great food at a great price. Large portions. Didn't think the biscuits and gravy were more than average.

The Iowa tenderloin and spinach salad were both tasty and good value. The tenderloin easily feeds two.

This is adjacent to The Nook bookstore and I was there on a very busy afternoon. (The UNI…read morehomecoming parade had just taken place.) I have been wanting to check out The Nook and this coffee shop for a while. It was pretty packed inside but service was fast. I loved the mocktails they had on the menu. I went with an iced strawberry matcha. OMG! It was fabulous. Tasted like Strawberry Quik but in the best possible matcha way. There's lots of seating areas or you can just go next door to browse. There's an upper level with tables, too.

Popped in on the first day of the booktour! Love stopping in to try new things on the menu. I will…read moresay that they have started to serve food not just baked goods. They sell flatbreads and avocado toast. I will say I am a bit confused on why the avocado toast is not listed as having a gluten free option. It's made with schaar bread and oh so good! There is a way to make the avocado toast dairy free too. If you have a gluten and dairy allergy like I do, none of the baked goods are dairy free. I ended up ordering an Oscar Wilde Berry Lemonade. Service was fast. I had my drink within minutes of ordering. It was the perfect amount of refreshing for a hot summer day and I loved the faint hint of lavender as well. I did also make sure to bring up the fact they may want to look into listing the gluten free option for the avocado toast because it is not stated anywhere on the menu.
