My '97 wrangler's frame was rotting out in the usual places (rear quarters). I drove up to have these guys save my Jeep. They were able to work with me on a tight deadline. I really appreciated the walkthrough of the shop after I came to pick it up. Getting to shake hands with the guys who actually worked on my Jeep made me feel good about their attitude, customer service and dedication to quality.

Got a rough estimate of $3k. They called later that day and also emailed a copy of the estimate and changed the estimate to roughly $8k. I told them to put it outside, for that price or a little more I could have the whole frame replaced.at that point they started to negotiate the charges. I supplied a OEM Toyota rear crossmember and brackets, they tried to charge me for an addl crossmember. Then they tried to charge 6 hrs labor to weld 2 new body mount brackets the size of my hand onto new metal which is about 5 hours over actual time. They also claimed that the front rails were rotted. After some discussion, the estimate dropped to $4300.00. They said it would be weeks for the repair as i did not have an appt to repair the vehicle (which i did ) vs estimate. All I asked was that the repairs be completed by Aug 13th as I was having surgery on the 14th and i could not drive for awhile after. I live 98 miles away from their shop. Emailed the week of 10th-14th and they said it would be ready the 17th. When it wasnt ready then, it was pushed a week to a week and a half later for completion. During this timeframe they sandblasted the front rails by mistake and the shop said they would repair the front rails at no charge. Also the new rear rails are drilled for a hitch but there are no welded nuts for the bolts to mount the hitch. They wanted to use SAE nuts because its what they have instead of metric which is supposed to be there. I emailed on Sept 2nd checking status and got a date of Sept 4th with a final bill of $4566.89. I was never told about any increases and we had an agreed amount of $4300.00. When i messaged on this issue they responded that they would honor the $4300.00. So we drove to their shop on the 5th to pick up the vehicle and they left it with a dead battery, alot of the engine was covered in sandblasting media, there is undercoating residue on the drivers leather seat from their clothing, the entire underneath of the vehicle is covered in undercoat including the "plastic and rubber liners", all brake hoses and rubber bushings, they left some residue on the exhaust, undercoating over roughly $2k worth of recent Bilstein shocks, struts and coils. I now have to scrape all the oversprayed undercoat, i have to have the drivers seat bottom replaced because the undercoating will not come off without damaging the leather and color and the smell inside the SUV was overwhelming from the undercoating. I had to have the vehicle towed home(thank you AAA). They left an invoice on the front seat for me to sign for the $8k estimate and leave it. I overwrote it for the $4300 that was agreed upon and left it. On Sept 8th, I received an email asking me to sign the $8k estimate again. I replied " I will gladly sign a receipt for the $4300 that was agreed upon and not the $8k price. I also let them know the issues that I had with the vehicle, I never heard from them again. Attention to detail is severely lacking. I still have not been able to check their work underneath due to the surgery but I will update if there is more to report

I was astounded they got the work done so quickly and perfectly. The yard that did my repair was so impressed by the quality of the tank, they asked me for the name of the welder. It all began a few months ago. I was doing laundry around 8am getting ready to head for work when my dog started barking like a mad lad. My cell phone buzzes and opens up to my security cameras as someone or something had illegally trespassed onto my property. I see two large men wearing all black beating and kicking my front door from my cameras. Since we have had numerous B&E's in my town I grabbed my legally owned pistol and headed for the door. Turns out it was two constables. One wearing a Boston Police windbreaker (illegal for constables to wear police shit like that to a job). They immediately started trying to gain entry to my house (I have it on video from two camera angles with audio) and were trying to intimidate me into accepting papers from them and paying New Bedford Welding Supply. I was shocked because I work in the public safety sector and not the Welding and construction sector and until that moment had no idea of this companies existence. The constables were extremely rude and though they had the correct name they were several towns away and obviously had the wrong person as I don't own a construction company. I immediately called New Bedford Welding supply and asked to speak to the Manager or owner. A man who refused to share his name identified himself as the owner. He laughed and thought it was funny. He thought it was funny they broke my door, he thought it was funny they hit the wrong house and laughed when I said I was in fear for my life as I thought I was going to get robbed. He even accused me of being a deadbeat for lack of payment. He laughed as he told me he just googled the name on the slip and I came up first. What type of idiot does something like that? He then hung up on me like a piece of garbage. The Constables fled and hung out in my driveway for a while illegally trespassing. I called the local police but they were gone by the time they showed up. and New Bedford Welding Supply has stopped answering phone calls. They never gave me an apology for the severe emotional trauma they put me through and have yet to repair my door that the constables kicked that they sent to the WRONG HOUSE. It's funny how it turns out after contacting my relative's company the bill the idiot thugs were sent to serve papers on or collect was paid a month prior and he told me the Constables broke his screen door. If one person reading this decides not to give you any money then it is a victory for me. 1 Star because these people literally sent armed men to the wrong house to try to harass me into paying a bill that I had nothing to do with what so ever. I guess the saying is right. Nothing good has ever come out of New Bedford.
