Love this restaurant! Always great service and food is consistently amazing. Love my Newks weekly.

It is a unique place. Take-out is ordered to the left and dine-in is ordered as you walk in. Everything is behind a glass and the cakes and pies taste as good as they look. You order and take your number to a table. Folks will bring out your food. They have a little station for pickles and other condiments that my wife enjoys. We stop in about once a month and we have never been disappointed. read more

I wish I could tell you how great everything was but unfortunately they ran out of Mac & cheese, so they offered me a salad or cole slaw which is why I ordered mac & cheese to start with. The Royal I had was good just very skimpy on the meat, more bread than anything else. Be prepared to wait. Menu is written in cursive and some people have trouble reading it, so the line moves slow. Wait time after order was placed was about 10 min. Value for price gets a 5 out of 10. Staff gets a 10 out of 10 very nice wait staff. My advice go to subway save a few bucks, and you don't have to worry about mac & cheese cause subway don't have it either. read more

Complete nightmare. Showed up half an hour before me and my date had to leave to go to the movies. We ordered 5 minutes before the couple were were eating with did. When the other couple got their food (finally), we waited 10 more minutes before checking on our meals with the staff. They said they would check on it.... well the other couple had finished their meals and it was time to leave and we STILL had no food nor had we been told when we might get any. Having to leave to make our movie, we asked for a refund. After the manager had been summoned and we had an employee complain about us to the manager right in front of us, he gave us a refund without even apologizing for the inconvenience. In fact, he didn't say a word besides rolling his eyes and telling us the money would be back on my date's card and walking away. Definitely on my top 10 list of worst service ever. read more

Really enjoyed this place. We stopped in for lunch today for the first time. The place is very clean and inviting. The staff was exceptional as was the food, very fresh fruit. Will definitely be back again. read more

I had the Greek salad and the Greek salad with chicken. It was delicious, loved it so much I ordered it a second time a couple days later. Super yummy, good amount of dressing, love all the toppings on the salad, just really yummy. read more

I have seen a notice posted in other Alabama restaurants that they must be able to tell you the Country of Origin of the seafood they serve. When I asked at Newk's, they plopped down a laminated sheet of fine printed advising me about the parasites that I might get from their tuna. When I asked the manager, he rudely replied that only one person a year asked and that all they had to do was present the sheet about frozen fish. My son's pizza collapsed when he picked it up. It actually appeared more like a salad with whole olives and other veggies on top. Only one staff member was pleasant, perhaps due to the trickle down of the manager's attitude. Even though the salad greens were good, it will be a sad day when I go back. read more

I ordered online, so I didn't have to wait in a crazy long line... but finding a parking spot was almost impossible. Once inside, it was clean and the woman working the to go orders was smiling and very friendly. I had the potato soup and a half turkey avocado sandwich. Both were pretty good! read more

The pizza is incredible! I've had the Mediterranean and the cheese. Great crust. Topped it with Lobster bisque soup, yummy. I think the sign needs to be higher to assist ordering, people stand in front of it. read more

My sister and I went here this afternoon for an early supper. Was greeted by a lovely young woman, named Ashly. She was so pleasant and helpful. We both wanted soup samples. No problem, Ashly said. She got both for us, offered other suggestions. We both ended up with the tortilla soup and I also had half of a chicken salad sandwich. Both were very delicious. I love this place! When it first opened I was so excited to eat there! I had the 5 cheese Mac and cheese and it was delicious! It had a light crust on the top and the cheese was creamy and perfect! It was a very nice sized portion. The environment is kind of casual and there's a big round table in the middle. I'm not exactly sure who the table is for. Is it for everyone or just those with salads? Besides that, the menu is tall and is right there as you walk in the door. Customer service was good. And our meals were very good. I've since ate there approximately 7 times as that is where my job likes to order from! I've had the pepperoni pizza(without the tomatoes) my personal presence, but it was very good. I've also had the Newk's club sandwich and it is top 3 in my book! It's got turkey and ham and two different cheeses along with lettuce and tomato if you want. Highly recommend this place! read more
