You take the stairs up to the second floor and then walk out onto the balcony. Service was exceptional. Our waitress was knowledgeable, made suggestions, took our drink order and food orders quickly and brought everything right out. This time I ordered the chips and queso for a starter, and the chicken quesadilla for my meal. Both were very good. My husband had the CRP sandwich with crispy chicken and French fries. I think the manager, some older woman, was there and she was absolutely rude to the server. She berated her in front of everyone in the dining room because she put in an order for a food item they didn't have, despite it being on the special's menu. I felt horrible for the girl. That was extremely unprofessional of the manager. I will return for the food and the service, but hope the manager doesn't do anything like that anymore!

The Caesar salad was amazing and the pumpkin apple leek soup was delicious as were the flaky croissants. Some had the blackened sea bass and loved it. I had a steak with cognac cream sauce, again the sauce was off putting and over powered the filet. The other steak was topped with their version of an Oscar sauce that had Swiss cheese and crab meat with a tarragon cream sauce and it's offered on most this at an up charge of $15 or so. Honestly the place is lovely and the service was pretty good. I think we would go again armed with the knowledge of ordering everything without any sauce or getting it on the side so it wouldn't ruin anything. We're all fairly adventurous eaters and we all agreed on the sauces issue. We went early so it wasn't crowded and it was quiet and had nice decor of an older Victorian style house with a few too many stairs that again I think I would ask to be seated on the entry level so I only have to climb the stairs to the porch which is shady and nice.

I specifically asked for Fernando to serve me (I saw he was there)...speaks perfect English and always gets my order right. I was denied his service because it was close to closing time (30-minutes) - I arrived at 9:30. I asked for a half order of "perfect chicken" and a guacamole salad. She (the other server) told me that it would be a $4 upcharge. "It's just a dollop of guac" she said. I showed her on the menu where it came with the Pollo Mexicano (close enough). She just shrugged her shoulders. So I decided not to get it...it would've been wrong anyway. I got the bill for $10, the menu says 1/2 order is $9...so I made her go get a menu and show her. Second time this has happened. Later Fernando asked me to pre-pay my bill to close out the register. Then another server came by and asked to take my plate away...I said "I'm not quite finished" (never asked if I wanted a to go box) she pulled out her iPhone and showed me that it was 10:01. I paid...I left my military discount card on the plate under broccoli and cheese sauce. 15% off isn't worth being treated like shit!
