First off, Don't be put off by the look of this place. It's an old house turned into a restaurant. It is not the best decorated or the best looking place on the inside I've ever seen however, that being said the food here is authentic Indian cuisine at its finest. I usually hate to eat till I'm miserable but here I couldn't help it I couldn't stop eating it. The Naan bread is made in a clay pot and is served hot and very flavor packed. There was nothing I ate here I did not like. My wife and I got the buffet. You can also order off the menu if you like. They keep you supplied in hot Naan bread and drinks. They are very attentive to your needs. Next time I will take more pics of the food. Because we will definitely be back. A little pricy but it's worth it. I would highly recommend that if you like Indian food that you bypass looks of this restaurant and focus on the deliciousness of the food. You won't be disappointed. read more

We stopped here on our way to Garden of the Gods and bought enough food for 2 nights costing over $70. The samosas and rice were OK, The garlic naan was doughy and undercooked, and all 3 dishes were mostly oil as can be seen in the photo with very little flavor. We threw it all away as eating oil is not good for one's gut. We have eaten at over 40 Indian restaurants in our travels, and this is in the bottom 5 for food quality and taste. As we were an hour away by the time we ate it, there was no going back to return it. Sad to say skip it as having an Indian restaurant in a small town could be a treasure if it was good. Not a bad place for Indian in Marion, IL! I ate there in Aug 2021, and because of COVID, they only offer the buffet for dine in. If you choose any other items on the menu, then you have to order togo. The restaurant doesn't have enough workers for full menu dine in. The buffet dinner is $17.95, which includes naan, samosas, tandoori chicken, and ice cream. Pretty good flavors, especially the beef keema and chicken tikka masala. The puffy naan is pretty doughy/chewy, which I was a fan of. I'd go here again if I'm in Marion, have an appetite, and in the mood for Indian! read more

An absolute train wreck... my first experience was also my last. The worst food I've ever put in my mouth.

Mediocre. The food was lacking a little care and flavor. But other than that Decently tasty and better than most in the area.

So good!! The people were extremely kind!! The chicken tikka masala was amazing!!!! I also highly recommend the mango pudding!

Ate at India Delight again tonight! Everything was delicious, but my hands down favorite continues to be the tomato soup and naan. Oh, and the ribs with pomegranate glaze. Well, I can't forget the hot bar dishes, either. There was a caramelized onion dish with a touch of coriander, maybe, that was savory and sublime. The tikka is always good, too. Hmmm. . . Ok, those dishes from the hot bar, the ribs with pomegranate glaze, the naan, and the tomato soup - are my absolute favorites! As always the owners and staff were wonderful and friendly! This is a great little Indian restaurant. We wanted to try something new today so we stopped in here. My best friend is Indian And her mom is an AMAZING cook! I haven't had her cooking in years, so this was such a nice treat! The naan was really good and the dishes were great also. You can't all be related to the owners so the only other conclusions I can draw is that you all know nothing about Indian buffets or these reviews are FAKE. I chose the lunch buffet for $8.99 today. The selection was weak. The spices were timid. Yes, I spoke to the owners and they are nice, but that is not what I came for. The best thing there was the garlic naan bread with herbs. The lady owner explained that some previous customers got take out to go and cleaned them out of buffet items. I realize that Marion, IL doesn't offer much in terms of Indian cuisine, but this is definitely not 5 stars and those of you who rated it so do a great disservice to people from out of town like me. The first time I tried India Delight or any Indian food,for that matter,was at my Yoga teachers house on the food truck. My husband and I really enjoyed it,so a couple of months later,we decided to try the restaurant.If you have never tried Indian food before,I recommend going to the restaurant.They have and Indian buffet with courses. My favorites are the Chicken tiki masala and the garlic naan. My husband likes the lamb boti. Their homemade tomato soup is awesome.I also felt really good after eating here and the herbs and spices cured my cold. You have to try India Delight.It is one of my favorite places to eat. My wife and I went here on a Saturday evening. We were pleasantly surprised with our experience here. They bring out about a 5 course meal. According to an article on EatThis.com dated 12/23/2019, based off of Yelp reviews and ratings, this is the best restaurant buffet in the state of Illinois. After trying India Delight last night with a couple friends, I'm a believer. This is the most delicious food I've ever eaten in any restaurant. I entered India Delight with hopeful expectations and left more satisfied than I could have ever imagined going in. To just simply say the service is excellent doesn't do justice. Our server made sure to bring oil naan for the needs of my vegan friend, and butter naan for myself, with second helpings. He must have visited our table at least ten times during our hour-long meal. Early on, I could detect how important it is to the staff at India Delight that everyone that visits their restaurant has a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. If you're just looking for a break from ordering pizza and burgers five nights every week, you need to try India Delight. If you're looking to experience another culture by beginning with its cuisine, you need to try India Delight. For my first time experiencing Indian food, I was pretty apprehensive, but any and all doubts stopped the minute I walked through the door. The restaurant was clean and we'll lit, and the service was top notch. We started with Tandoori chicken appetizer and the bread that comes with every meal and I was immediately sold. The sauce was delghtful. We also had garlic Naan and a Naan with potatoes (ahmazing) and then the chicken vindaloo and the lamb curry. The we're always filling our drinks, and making sure we had everything we needed.
