I ordered delivery, so I can't speak on the ambience and service. What I can tell you is the pizza was very good, considering it's a local business, and I normally order from one of the major chain pizza places. I had been wanting to try a local pizzeria, so I ordered the Meat Lover's for me and a Cheese pizza (with bacon, green peppers, pineapple) for the wife. Upon opening the boxes, I noticed the pies are much thicker than the major brand pizzas. A very good amount of toppings and sauce (which strangely seems to be lacking on the other brands' pizzas, here in Marion). Baked well, not overcooked at all. On picking up a slice to take a bite, it held its weight well. (Don't you hate when you go to bite into a slice, and all the toppings just slide off onto the plate, leaving you with a greasy piece of thin bread in your hand?) The test was in the flavor: very good. My only (little) complaint is that the overall flavor was a tad bland. Maybe the sauce needed a little more spiciness. Nothing that a little pepper or hot sauce couldn't fix. Wifey and I enjoyed our pizzas. We will order again, or maybe, if we are feeling frisky, drive and go dine in. Recommended. read more

We had been meaning to try this place for a while and finally wandered in around 2:30 on a Monday afternoon. The sign at the door promoted their buffet for $12.95 a person, so we opted for that. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, offering to make any pizza we wanted fresh if the ones on the buffet were sketch, which was awesome. The salad bar was what one would expect, nothing to write home about. The pizza had a generous amount of mozzarella cheese and a nicely sauced cracker crust. The mozzarella had a great stretch on the fresh pizza, as you can see in the picture. Sooooo, on to the taste...you know how you can get frozen Imo's but it's not nearly the same in taste or quality to what's in the restaurant? (Not that I'm a fan of IMO's, but you get what I'm saying). Well, this was very much like if Jack's frozen pizza had a restaurant but with much better crust. Now, I happen to like Jack's Pizza, so I was a fan of Tower Pizza. That being said, I'd skip the buffet and order your own pie because the buffet pizza quality just wasn't there, at least not on a Monday afternoon. All-in-all, it's a great place to have a few beers and a good pizza, so if you're ever in or passing through Marion, Illinois, you should definitely check them out! Like this review? Waited 30mins to try their Chicago pizza, told us they dropped it, another 25 and the pizza came out, cold sauce on top and cheese still in shreds, reheated it some, warmed sauce up some, cheese still unmelted, they made it up in the form of a gift certificate, told us to heat the pizza up in our oven to eat later, 20mins at 475 still would not melt the cheese, usually means the cheese had been left out prior to making the pizza. Having tried many popular deep dish pizzas I still would like to try one here that was cooked right but I don't see that in the future as of now, they seem to focus more on buffet pizzas. read more

Wow I'm in love. If you love pizza start here if you love Chicago style pizza look no further unless you want to drive to Chicago. I've had may a bad Chicago pizza and not so many good out side of Chicago but I found the one people. Try it you will love it to. I'm not sure what happened. A few years ago, there was lovely music playing, table service, and quality good-tasting food that fits inside such a beautiful old building. It's owned by one of the more successful families in Marion which runs several good businesses and is active in local politics. But now you're greeted with cheap toy dispensers, the same pop-country playing everywhere else, and you have to order at a window. It is almost exclusively a buffet. The quality has gone down astronomically. It's a real shame - this is one of the most gorgeous buildings in Marion and it deserves a good restaurant and not one that could operate just as well in a pole barn. I don't hope for their failure, I just don't see how it got to this point. In my humble opinion, they need a massive overhaul or return to their original plan, or to sell to someone who can do something different and better with it. Maybe opening a 3rd Italian restaurant with Bennie's and Walt's nearby wasn't the right play, but there was a time I'd have chosen Tower Square over them. read more

Had some neighbors suggest I go here for their lunch buffet cause it was great. I've concluded those folks don't get out much. I went there yesterday for lunch and was not impressed. The salad bar was very small and definitely not impressive. There were several pizzas and nothing impressive there either. Was expecting more variety in both salad bar and pizza bar. Thought the buffet price was high for what they had. There are many other choices for lunch I would have enjoyed more. read more

I've heard very good things about this restraunt. I finally ordered and picked up a pizza and it was delicious. The pickup service was excellent and friendly. The estimated time was spot on. Will definitely eat here again and hopefully try the dine in also once Covid-19 is over. read more

The serve staff is rude. Because of dietary needs, I asked for help in identifying the different pizzas. When I asked what was on the pizzas, she very snottily said "I don't know, I didn't make them." So she yelled back to staff, with attitude, "she wants to know what's on the pizzas!!" so another server came out and started helping, she walked over and inserted herself into the conversation saying "it's just different varieties of pizza". and her body language showed she was very annoyed. This place needs to close down if they can't treat customers with respect. and the food was lousy, anyway. Avoid like the plague. read more

We were really looking forward to the buffet and drove 45 miles to try it. what we got was cold pizza, bad selection and dry tasteless pasta. Poor customer service and rude servers. Rude manager and no desert pizza. read more

The building is nice and redone. The pizza was ok but the buffet selection wasn't very good and we got there about 6:45 pm which should be prime hour for keeping the bar stocked. I'm so tired of going out to be disappointed again. Pizza on buffet looked cold & dried up at 5:00pm on Friday. Salad was white head lettuce not really cold. When the hand tossed pizza came it was actually a very thin crust pizza with sad looking topping ingredients. Just disappointing. Also it's all self serve. No table service. Pretty good. Pepperoni isn't the best, isn't the worst. Cheese is good. The dough could be better but I can't complain about it. The sauce is really good and it has a perfect amount of seasoning on it. The building itself is beautiful. 4/5 read more

They have changed their procedure for ordering - you now go up to the window to order. I usually get the buffet and am never disappointed in the taste of the pizza. I love the crispy crust. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because of the employees. They don't seem very happy - it shows when you need to deal with them. I did notice a new girl during the day so maybe it will improve. I certainly hope so because I really love their pizza! read more

It is my own fault for continuing to go back here. But the food - if you can make it through the hostile manager - tends to be pretty good. The manager seems constantly to be on the edge of losing it, and has done that with us at least twice. I am willing to consider it is just a personality conflict between her and me, but if you read the reviews, I think you will see I am not the only one to have that experience with her. Poor thing. Can't even be bothered to answer their phone. I've tried ordering from them a few times. Most times the phone just rings and no one ever picks up. One time I got through. The lady asked me to hold, and then never picked up the phone again. When I tried calling back, it just gave me a busy signal. read more

First time visiting. Service was slow as they were obviously understaffed. Not sure why unless somebody called in. We were there at 5 o'clock on a Friday night with only 2 tables filled when we arrived and it took more than 40 minutes to get our pizza. Staff was polite and the restaurant was clean. Pizza was absolutely average and nothing special. I don't know for sure, but if I had to guess, I would say they don't make the crust there. Probably wouldn't go back there of my own volition, but if a group said "hey we're going do you want to come", I would tagalong. Not at all saying it's a bad place, just that there are lots of places to spend your money and eat. read more
