I genuinely love the selection of items in this store. It's one of the few places in the mall worth checking out everytime but I can't help but feel like I'm an inconvenience to the workers. I don't feel very welcome and that's fine cause I wouldn't expect customer service workers to smile and put on a false facade just for me but I also don't need to be treated with passive aggressive animosity for being a customer. I'm not sure if this would be a corporate thing but they might wanna find a way to do pick up orders too so people don't have to wait on line due to the fact that they have 3 registers and only 2 open, it would also help people like me who don't want to feel like an inconvenience to the workers who might wanna consider that it's just not that serious. I love coming to Newbury Comics. It can be weeks or months I haven't been back, and it's awesome to know there is a bunch of great things on the latest craze. Staff here at Palisades Center mall is helpful and have good attitudes behind the counter or walking around the store. I collect pins and find hopefully ones interesting or try again the next time around. I was so excited to find this Betty Boop collaborated with SailorMoon pin. It was a cool find, it was cool to check out in the area with the jewelry. There's a big selection of Funko pops, Vinyl records, clothing, and much more. Anything you're a fan of, if it's an anime, music artist, TV show, anything you are a fan of, you might find what you want here. It's hard not to buy anything, however a great place to be in awe and take in some laughs or share the ultimate nerdy part of you with your friends or ones you love. Fun store. Came upon here a few months ago and was happy this place is in the mall. Sadly there has been a little loss of variety in the Palisades in recent years, so Newbury Comics is a more than welcome addition. Inside is spacious with plenty to look at as well as a lot of shopping options. From movie/TV memorabilia to those Funko Pops that are still going strong. If you're a Funko fan, you'll find a good selection here. Books, vinyl, games - chances are you'll find something that strikes your interest. Things are organized fairly well and there is something for nearly everyone. I didn't have any employee interactions, but it was a little busy inside both times I came in thus far. Overall a fun place to stop by and worth checking out. read more

It's got Funko Pops, apparel, collectibles, vinyl, and of course comics! I've been to a handful of other Newbury Comics locations and this one is comparable with slightly fewer bells & whistles. Some other Newbury's have glass cases with more valuable collectibles but this one doesn't have one (or not yet at least). But being the first one in this area, it's a great introduction and especially in this mall too. Solid spot for casual collectors looking to browse for a little bit of everything. read more

My husband and son went here and were racially profiled by the manager, Kaylee. She is about 5'5", white, and has brown curley hair dyed green. There were several white boys checking out pokemon cards and taking packs from behind where the register is and she said nothing. Then my son, who is hispanic and white went to get a pack to buy and Kaylee came and gave him a dirty look and said "you have to ask me for them and come around and pay". Meanwhile, the white boys were picking them up, laughing and joking with each other right next to her and she didn't make a single comment to them. She is an unpleasant racist who should not be working with the public. You can not tell me that this is just a coincidence. She specifically targeted my son based on his appearance. We have been there several times and have always been respectful, and buy lots of stuff. She makes it very awkward to be around her and is extremely unprofessional, childish and racist. If you are a person of color I suggest you stay away from her. This place is also overpriced. If you're looking for pokemon cards you can get a better deal pretty much everywhere else. read more

We are always so pleased with every associate working but we happen to come on this night and the register girl was just rude didn't have manners what so ever. I don't get why you are in retail if you can't be polite or Atleast say bye, she was talking to another worker there not even giving us any attention what so ever.
