NewAge Electric is fantastic!!! We had 2 new ceiling fans with lights installed that we couldn't get to work. The switch panel had 2 separate parts, one for the fan and one for the light. We contacted Brian and he came by the next day. Placed a second wire so our switches would work and hooked them up to the ceiling fans in no time!! He's very knowledgeable and fast. Does excellent work, great attention to detail, very adept, brings all the tools with him. He is our go to electrician from now on. Work was on very old wiring in a two-story tall, overly large garage that had begun manifesting random trips of one circuit breaker. When the power went out to half of our house after 9PM on the eve of a holiday, I assumed we'd spend two nights without AC at a minimum, but decided to try some 24/7 electricians with the hope of scheduling a repair for the morning of July 5th. Several did not answer, one told us to try something we'd already done, and some still haven't called back when they said they would in 5 minutes. When I saw that NewAge had a response rate of 20 minutes, I thought I had nothing to lose to put a request for a quote out into the abyss of my other attempts to get power back. It was to my pleasant surprise when Brian wrote me back with a number I could text him at about 15 minutes after my request for quote... honestly, it was a refreshing experience to just text and send pictures. He offered to come out that evening for an emergency/premium charge, we opted to save a few bucks since it was only 70 degrees and we had some fans working, and scheduled for 9:30AM ON A HOLIDAY for a rate I thought to be very fair. Even after Brian arrived on the 4th of July, I was mentally preparing to shell out mega dollars - he had to run out to store to buy and install a panel because the one we had had rusted out from too much humidity. When 11:30 rolled around and he was finished, I felt like Brian helped us turn lemons into lemonade. He fixed the issue quickly, identified affordable ways we can improve the location of the panel (to eliminate future moisture issues), and was also just a friendly dude. Some other electricians may have made this job last longer than 2 hours so that they could charge more. Brian did a good job and is honest. We called new age electric for an emergency power issue we had on a Friday night after two other electricians didn't show that were supposedly 24 hour. Brian answered our call and though it did take him a while to get here he came prepared with the right parts needed to fix a broken breaker issue. He explained the issue clearly and throughly and got us fixed within an hour. His rate was fair especially for after hours work. I needed an electrician to come out on the same day to fix electrical issues related to old door bells which stopped working in our 3 flat Chicago walk up apartment building.
