Bomb chicken kabob gyro. Fries taste like bk fries before they started to suck. Hot wings are the best, they're not too hot but just the right amount of flavor. Some of my wings were more like the size of a half wing, but I got a lot of food so whatever. Large menu, everything is really good. I used to come here years ago and it was great then too. Small interior, no tables, only take out. The guys that run this place are so nice. Why is every food place that I love way too far for me to go there regularly!:( they have mix chicken, wings, hot wings, gyros, cheeseburgers, fish plates, rice plates, corn... pretty much whatever you're craving. but go for the hot wings and chicken gyro. read more

My go-to chicken place was closed yesterday, and I needed to bring some to a friend. So based on the Yelp ratings, I took the drive to Hyde Park and took a chance on this place. To quote my friend, the chicken was "amazing!" My wife and I tried some, and we have to agree. The place was clean and appeared to have parking in the rear. The service was friendly. There is a minimum charge for credit card sales or you get charged a surcharge, which is not a problem. I think we'll have to do a side by side taste test to see if this is our new favorite chicken. They recently opened up again and the staff are amazing and they always have customers and the price is really good for what they are serving. It's a quick thing to buy for kids or anybody in general that doesn't really want to make anything at home or taking it to go. I love this little hidden gem. think of Church's Chicken, or cuchifritos in n.y.C. Chicken is good with a nice crust that sticks to the chicken. They serve other things other than chicken like, fried whiting, burgers and gyros. Even have to stop eating! They are a lot cheaper than your other big chains around. No frills here, like biscuits and southern sides. This is a chicken and fried or tostones ki da joint. The 2 elderly gentleman are a lack in personality, but they don't give an attitude, so that's a plus. Oh, did I mention, yin-ping hot sauce?....Nuff said! read more

Hands down one of the best places for fried chicken.Their pieces are good sized and meaty, not too salty, not too greasy. No bread battered crap here. Just crispy skin, baby. Best pieces to get (IMO) are the thighs, drumsticks, and center breasts. Very moist and tender. Wings and rib breasts are, meh. Pricing is highly reasonable. For example my favorite lunch to get is the 2 piece chicken with rice combo that comes with a soda. Delish. Probably about 1.5 lb of food all for $5.50 plus no tax. Yes, for some reason they don't charge sales tax. Lots of variety in the menu too, like grinders, burgers, Jamaican beef patties, mac-n-cheese, french fries - all forgettable. Ugh I used to love this place because it's a 5 minute walk from my job, cheap & a notch-up quality-wise than McDonalds..I recently though walked over on my 15 minute lunch break and ordered a chicken sandwich meal (that comes with fries & a can of soda). I told the older guy at the counter I want lettuce, tomato & mayo on the sandwich..he replied with "ketchup too?" I said "no! no, ketchup" I get back to my job & bite into the sandwich and the chicken patty is drenched in KETCHUP! I was pissed because it wasn't a little ketchup that I could wipe off & manage to eat the patty anyways..I call the place and tell the guy the situation..pretty much asking him to have another sandwich ready so I can jog over to grab it (since my lunchbreak was over). The guy says "hold on" & I hear him taking counter orders and then the phone hangs up. I ran over and flipped out on the guy because he didn't make me another one & he is rude and hung up..I demanded my $4 back and went hungry that day at work. Too bad because I was a loyal customer up until then. They were never particulary friendly or super good..I just went because they were close-by & very cheap. Poor customer service! I purchased chicken the night prior and when I got home I realized that it had been overcooked. I called the establishment and told them about the poor quality and informed them that I would come in the next day to have them make good on the chicken dinner order. The next day I go in to explain the quality situation. One gentleman was very accommodating, but the other was very rude acted as though I was trying to take advantage of him. Mind you, I visit the establishment regularly and always had a good experience. You would have thought that he valued my loyalty to their business for the last few years. I was completely taken back by his constant questioning and belligerent attitude I was confronted with. I informed him that I would not return to his establishment and he has lost a loyal customer. I don't patronize establishments that don't value me as a customer. Beware and check your food before you leave the establishment so you won't find yourself in the situation I found myself in. read more
