This is a chain restaurant and the menu is very diverse. There is fried fish and fried chicken (of course), but you can also find lamb or chicken over rice, other options like greek pita or kabob, and desserts! I found so many options that I didn't know what to try. There is plenty of parking and there was security inside and staff cleaning the grounds and the floors. I felt like I would give it a try. I was also happy they carry Everfresh.... Prices were steep and the staff wasn't friendly but not extremely rude. I ordered the catfish meal and it was about $11, everfresh drink $2.50, and a sweet potato pie just because....I decided to try the greens too just because I love greens and cabbage (no cabbage on the menu). Side of greens was a little over $4.00. You do the math....was it worth it???? Everything was cooked fresh (except greens and coleslaw). The fish and fries was sprinkled with something white (tasted ok...although they could have sprinkled mine with a little more seasoning). I would go again.....I liked they had bread on the bottom and a side of coke slaw. Made the price make a little bit more sense. The portion was a nice size. I ordered too much. The greens didn't have meat but a red tomato and pepper (very spicy - not my thing - note to self: no greens next time).

This is one of the biggest food markets in the city outside of Lexington market - I was glad to see it was so busy on a Friday evening. They have ample seating and restrooms and the staff at Southside Burger were really friendly. The wings were fine, but I really loved the onion rings and the simple cheeseburger. Everything is plastic and paper plates all disposable because it's a food hall so it's a very casual, as you go environment I was surprised to see so many families. Please avoid supporting larger chains and support local this year, I would definitely come back for a burger and onion rings! It's hard to find good onion rings! Like there was a ACTUAL cheese pull when you bit into the burger. It was HOT and fresh when I took the wrapper off my burger; just overall, gave an actual grill taste. Serves delicious grilled meat on rice and in pitas. As of 7/14/2020, the food truck is still open for business. Get the grilled minced lamb ("gyro") on rice. The meat is tender, not at all dry, and also not greasy. The rice is a mix of white basmati rice, and red (spiced with harissa?) basmati rice. The texture of the basmati rice is perfect and tender -- not at all dry, or mushy and overcooked. Both the white sauce and the red sauce are good here -- get both. The white sauce is absolutely delicious, and the red sauce is spicy enough to add good flavor but not so spicy that your mouth is on fire, even if you get a lot. The tomatoes are fresh and the lettuce is crisp -- no limp lettuce here. Portions are extremely generous. A tray of grilled lamb with salad and red-and-white (spiced with harissa?) basmati rice costs ~$8.50 and is enough food for 2 meals.
