I have always had a good experience with the optometrists but have had issues with the opticians the past two years. Last year, my prescription was changed such that all the negative powers were entered as positive and vice versa. I had only discovered the problem after picking up the glasses late one Saturday afternoon and had to have the lenses remade once they figured out what the error was. This year, I went in and found out that they no longer supply Essilor lenses and coatings which are my preference. This is because I used to work for the company that makes the equipment that Essilor uses to put coatings on their lenses so I am well aware of the quality of Essilor's lenses and coatings. I was a bit hesitant but decided to get glasses anyway since I was there. They came in about 10 days later but I received a message that they didn't pass a quality check and they were being sent back to be remade. I got the final pair about 2 weeks later. I had only worn them 3 or 4 times when I noticed a small smudge in the corner about 2 weeks after that. I tried removing it with the cloth provided, then with the cloth and water, and finally with lens cleaning spray, always with the lens cloth. Since it wasn't coming off, I took it in thinking they could get it off but they said it was a scratch. To be fair, I did not have the scratch warranty as I've had glasses for 45 years and never had an issue and having worked in the business am aware how to care for them. To me, it seemed like a defect. The optician's exact words were, "Well, you didn't purchase the warranty so there's nothing we can do. Have a good day." And then she walked away. Well, I'm walking away from this business.

After Nakagawara left, I was paired up with Dr. Durham and then Dr. Ogden who is really good and thorough! She explains everything and waits around for questions like you're the only patient she has. If she finds something in your eye that doesn't sit well with her, she makes sure she's satisfied it's safe before she sends you on your way. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The front desk, intake and even checkout, all seem happy to see you! Their communication vehicles include not just call in but also texting and email. The texting option works well even with scheduling an appointment. You really can't go wrong trying them out! If you're paired with someone that the personality doesn't fit, ask to see someone else next time. They really do a great job getting you comfortable. Highly recommended!

But he has never told us he has trouble with his vision but he 'failed' his pediatrician eye test so Dr Williams and Triangle came highly recommended. She was FABULOUS and explained a bunch of things to my 15 year old who is a worry wort like me and helped ease his nerves. He thankfully didn't have anywhere near bad vision like they told us based on the PED test and could go without any help which we appreciated Dr Williams not trying to upsell anything. She said right now you are fine but if anything changes in the next year you could get glasses for driving and at school. So we loved that! We did end up getting a pair to have on hand but it wasn't needed. He found a cute pair and we are very thankful to found Dr Williams!

I went and needed to make an appointment- a week later 4/21/27 i was examined and I was impressed with all the updated machines. I had to wait a few weeks for glasses to be made, which is not unusual. I then went in and tried them on, these were $900 bifocals with all the bells and whistles, but the long-distance view was blurry. I immediately told this to the woman helping me, but she said take them home and get used to them and if they don't get better, bring them back. After a week, I went back and they gave me another exam, and the results were different from the first. After waiting another week or so, I went back again. the new glasses were fine. However, upon leaving, they handed me the old prescription and did not give me the accurate prescription. All was fine until I wanted to get a pair of prescription sunglasses from Costco. I gave them the script from Carolina Vision and waited a week. These sunglasses were for a vacation planned for the beginning of September to see Ireland. Well, when I tried the new sunglasses on , they were blurry. The optometrist at Costco tested my regular glasses and discovered the the script the I was given was the wrong script. so now i have to go on my vacation without the benefit of great sunglasses . Bottom line - Carilina Family vision looks pretty on the outside, the salespeople are professional, but behind the scenes it is a clown show .

I…read morehave to say I was a little doubtful in the beginning due to the reviews but as a medical professional, it seem often that the negative experience are easily posted in public review than the positive experience; therefore, I gave it a try for myself and my son for eye exam. The receptionist was very thorough explaining Check -in process and the intake forms. Lisa was an amazing CPO who prepared us for the exam and answered our inquiries. She made my son feel very comfortable. Dr. O'Mara was amazing and personable. She performed comprehensive eye exam and answered all the questions. She even explained different eye exams as well as the cost. Her practice and health recommendations reflect patient-centered care and compassion. Throughout the process, "ALL" staffs explained the exams, the cost, the insurance coverage and they catered to my preferences.
