I have not had a bad experience yet. My husband and I really enjoy it here. I'm pretty sure this place is owned by whoever runs U-Like Buffet on Oracle Road. Same food, atmosphere, decor, et cetera. We go to both, depending on our errends. Anyway, my husband and I love it. I cannot complain about endless wontons. The food is delicious and kept warm. My husband loves the sushi buffet. I love the Japanese chicken. It's always so tender and fantastic. Everything is just delicious. The ONLY thing I dislike is the orange chicken. It tasted like plain soy sauce. Otherwise, all is great. The selection is quite large and actually kept fairly fresh. Everything is clean. I love that I can always find something for my picky toddler. The fruit is good and nothing ever looks old. They have good desserts. It's all yummy. The staff is also very nice. The ladies always play with our kids and they are so sweet. We really enjoy it there. It's the place we go when we just want something we know we will like, and we might even take my in-laws there when they visit from Utah. Was just OK, I don't think its a tourist trap. I think a lot of regulars go there. For $10.99 you shouldn't expect to much for your basic Chinese Buffet. Other option is a McDonald's meal for $7. Four more dollars you can go back for 2nds, 3rds, and soft serve ice cream. Worst food I've tasted in a long time. Food has no flavor. food was so horrible had to leave hungry. Would not recommend to anyone.

Always great friendly service with a variety of fresh delicious food. My favorites are the Egg Drop Soup, Beef and Broccoli, Hawaiian Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Teriyaki, Fried Zucchini and the Dim Sum. This was our first visit. The staff was pleasant. The service was good. The place looked clean and tidy. There was an abundance of offerings. The food was hot and presented well. However, high end items were not to be found. No oysters, large shrimp, crab, and clams. The sushi was mostly rice rolls with vegetables. It was difficult to find fish in the sushi. So my family and I liked to go to this buffet often until one day my father went to the sushi area where the "chefs" make it for you and he asked for some sushi and one of the chefs was just causally talking with another chef and told my dad to wait a sec. He waited and they continued talking about their personal lives and my dad asked again and gave him his plate and the chef threw it back to my dad. He immediately got angry and demanded the owner to do something which he clearly didn't do. Don't eat here! Terrible service and bad quality food! read more

Definitely the best Chinese buffet within the area. Prices are not bad, great place for when your really hungry.

We're regular customers. Everyone is friendly and insures our glasses are filled and empty plates are cleared. We visit New Town to catch up with family and never feel rushed by the staff. The food is excellent with a wide variety to meet the needs of any palate. The sushi lady can be unpleasant (don't take anything from the middle or back of a selection or she'll grump at you). Aside from Sushi lady, everyone is friendly and quick to meet your needs . We miscalculated our bill today ($4 in their favor) and a young lady found us at our car to let us know and correct the amount. Now THAT'S service! The food was plain, the meat appeared to be old, the Sushi was flat out gross, and most of the offered food tasted microwaved. Nothing was fresh. The server was rude, pushy, impatient, and rolled her eyes on more than one occasion when she couldn't understand our order due to the noise some kids at a neighboring table made. Tourist trap. It doesn't even rise to the level of "OK". I was here when they originally opened and it used to be really good. Now it sucks.The selection was horrible, the food was either cold or burnt and dry. Tons of cheap filler items. The dumplings tasted like cleaning fluid. The pot stickers were like burnt chips and there was no shrimp in any of the containers labeled "shrimp". I've been in dozens of these places and usually stay in the buffet for 45 minutes or so. It was one plate and out this time. Never again. If you ignore me and go...tip well. The staff here (going through the motions) will need new jobs when the health department checks the food temperature. read more

I will never return to this place. I wnet with my wife and two kids. I served myself a full plate with a little of everything including ; chow mein, brocolli beef, shrimp, honey chicken, breaded chicken, and a.couple of sushi. Nearly everything I ate either didnt have flavor, or had this wierd after taste. The only thing I liked was the shrimp and the honey chicken. I decided to get some egg drop soup. And sure enough, it had the same bland flavor just like everything else. I kept eating it anyways because I was so hungry, I wish I wouldnt have, about half way through I found some egg that was colored GREEN! I tried to see if I could find more and I ended up finding another piece of egg that was green. I immediately lost my appetite. I placed it to the side. The waitress seemed friendly. She walked by to ask if we needed anything. When I questioned her about the green egg she tried explaining it, but after not.being able to think of a good reason why it would be green, she went to get the manager without me asking her to. The.manager came over and looked at the.egg. after looking at it closely for a couple of seconds, he tried passing it off by saying that the piece of egg possibly got cooked for too long........because we all lnow that when you over cook eggs they turn green....I didnt even bother telling him anything else. I just asked for the check. The manager then asked if he could throw away my green egg... The.waitress asked us if we.wanted to try anything else, possibly because she noticed that we all hardly ate.anything. I said no and.waited for the check. New Town is one of my favorite places because of the good food and service. For Chinese, it is my favorite.

What can u say about this place? Well if you ask me I would say bland and not fresh. They refuse to throw out food that has been sitting around must be because they are a lot slower now than before but that is not a good reason. There are always things we enjoy - soup, salad, fish and meat with vegetables, fruit and cake, juice, cookies...... Things are held hot on the buffet, and it is clean, with pleasant staff. Don't believe everything you see on TV! This place is a joke. The commercial makes it out to be fresh. The hot food is only warm, the cold food is not very cold. The sushi selection is not impressive, rolls are small and they all taste the same. The hibachi bar has a lot of vegetable selections but only chicken, beef and fake crab for meats. After it was cooked, the meats all had the same freezer-burnt taste. Asked the manager and he said everything was bought fresh, frozen, then thawed and sliced. I have put meat in the freezer for a short time to aid in slicing and if done correctly, it's not a problem. The way they do it....leaves a funky aftertaste that is not pleasant. A lot of the foods on the steamtables were passable but the "fried rice" was just plain white rice with a few frozen veggies thrown in. No brown color, no meat, just plain rice. A lot of the food looked like it had been there a while, some were almost empty and remained that way without refilling the entire time my family and I were there. If you order a soft drink, not included with your meal, be careful. We had root beer that tasted fine but Sierra Mist that tasted like soda water with a little sweet added in. Overall, if you are just looking for cheap eats and don't care about quality, taste or the temp of your food...you would be better off driving a little further down the road to a cheap fast food burger joint. The manager and owner could not have cared less that we had genuine concerns about the food and said that we had unreal expectations. This cheap wasn't worth the cheap price and I recommend you spend your money elsewhere. read more

Please just go to Mc Donalds if you can. The lady at the sushi bar it's extremely rude, if see that you did not tip at your second trip. the workers look unhappy. The food is bland, not fresh. It is gross. Unless you love crappy food do not go there. Somebody will end up with a bad seafood poisoning.
