I give this company three stars because of two completely different experiences. Carlos and crew came out in winter and pruned two small trees in our yard. It was expensive, but they did the best job on these trees I've ever seen. We negotiated a price on future work and I called the company to make an appointment. The day came and no one showed up. No phone call, text, email, no nothing. I called them and was told that an "emergency" had come up and they couldn't be at our place that day. Fine, I understand that things happen and we set a new date a week in advance. The date arrives and - nobody shows up or communicates with us! After I emailed them they said there was an "emergency" and they couldn't be there. By this time we weren't going to get to strike three, I told them it's cancelled, no rescheduling. I think they have a scheduling and communication problem(s). I shall look elsewhere. read more

The team arrived promptly and trimmed shrubs and trees according to my specifications. The work also included substantial trimming of trellis and fence- climbing plants, as well as removing vine branches that had encroached on my neighbor's trees! I would not use this tree company ever again. New Sky Tree is unreliable and not trustworthy. Carlos showed up on my porch multiple times trying to solicit business for his cimpany. When I finally hired him he gave me a verbal contract with no date. He refused to answer my e mails and texts for two weeks. He finally told me his family member was ill " an emergency" and he would get back to me later, which he never did. I have posted here before about my experience and it has been removed by New Sky. Walter and New Sky was an was absolute pleasure to work with. I had received multiple quotes and they were willing to work with us on a number that we felt comfortable. They gave reasonable pricing and also excellent service. Walter Wilson came out the same day as my job request got listed! I already had 5 quotes to cut back from the building 8-10', thin and trim outrageously grown 4 ficus trees. While discussing what I wanted to do, I showed him the 2 eucalyptus trees on the other side of my building and told him I would do it separately due to budget concerns. Walter said that I would save money if I did all the trees at one time due to the cost of bringing out the machinery. With that in mind he gave me the best quote out of 6 total!! and to top it off, he was able to schedule the job the next day!!! The team arrived on time, confirmed what I needed done and started to work from 8:30 to 4pm!!! I was simply amazed at the stark difference from before to after. I intend to call them every year to trim the trees!! In addition to doing a magnificent job, the team led by Jose, kept checking in with me to be sure I was satisfied and informed me how much they would trim or cut away while making sure the trees remained healthy. We used New Sky Tree Service to do some large tree trimming and to cut some hedges that we have in our backyard. Lots of overgrowth that just needed to be cleaned up. There was also some ivy that needed to be removed from the side of the house. All and all it was a pretty big job. We worked with Sergio, Walter and Carlos to give us a proposal and estimate. We received the proposal for the work and were able to schedule the work for within a couple of days. There was a large crew of guys that came out and knocked it out. They came back the next day to clean up something from the proposal that got missed the first day. Very happy with the job they did. They take pride in getting everything right and were very good at cleaning up after themselves. I would recommend them to anyone looking for tree and shrub work. Terrific to work with. read more

Although they removed my Monterey Pines, they trampled all over my yard partially damaging my deck and left their trash up to the top of the can in my recycle bin and trash can (see attached photos). They also destroyed my landline connection so I had to spend one hour on the phone with AT&T in order to service my line (see attached photo) which has not been repaired. Buyer beware!! read more

They asked for our permission to access our backyard so they can do their service easily and also helped me understand what they would be doing. New Sky removed 3 massive eucalyptus trees from our front yard and they were great to work with. They were the only company that responded quickly and kept every appointment in a timely manner. They worked with us on price and started the job the next day! The guys were amazing, they know their job, and took these trees down safely. They cleaned up everyday and did a big cleanup when they were done. All in all they were professional from the first contact to the last cleanup! Carlos Diaz had been out to my property previously to assess trimming for large eucalyptus trees hanging over my property. He came quick and with thorough explanation. As an arborist he was able to give details that others couldn't. These are 100ft trees btw. While I didn't hire him then, called them back a year later to assess my Cedar for trimming. Once again they came quickly to quote and came under others who weren't certified arborist. Trimmed my 65ft Cedar beautifully right before the high winds came. The crew can improve their cleanup job but overall highly satisfied with the job and price. I will be using them again for the eucalyptus in the near future. read more

I would give them (Carlos Diaz the owner) zero stars if I could. I made an appointment in the middle of the day to meet him. I called him an hour before to confirm he had the address and he says he can't make it. I then sent him several messages to reschedule and he doesn't even bother replying. Completely unreliable and dishonest. read more
