I did a LOT of research before finding her and her rates are very reasonable compared to many others as she stayed with us from 7:30 AM through 6 PM- plus she traveled to New Rochelle, NY, without adding on travel fees. I like that her package included airbrush and false lashes as a lot of other places will charge these as add-ons to packages. We did a first reveal before the ceremony and Grace was with me during our photoshoot, she helped fix my hair and makeup during the photoshoot, including putting on and taking off my veil. She also did touch ups after the first photoshoot and again, after the ceremony! I did a makeup and hair trial with her in January 2017. I personally have watery eyes and can't wear certain eyeliners as they smudge easily on me. So she came back a second time to do another trial using a different eyeliner, without an additional cost, which she bought specifically for me (because of my watery eyes) and it stayed on all day. Also, the eyeliner stayed on throughout the whole wedding day as well (even though I cried a lot) so the trial is highly recommended. Ashlee was working a different event and wasn't able to do my makeup, instead I had Jessica. Jessica was so lovely and personable. She chatted with me the entire time and mixed colors to find the best shade for me and my skin tone. It was amazing. Then for my big day, the store was so accommodating and they were happy to travel wherever I needed them to. It was greatly appreciated that their travel time was already worked into the price. I was only expecting Ashlee and Jessica, but we also got Nicky at no extra cost! All three of them were wonderful and worked very efficiently to make sure that each of my bridesmaids, my mother, and I were all well taken care of. Discovered this gem while searching for nearby places that have eyelash tinting. I had seen a…read moreblogger I follow have it done, and thought it was a great alternative to getting false lashes as I didn't want to ruin my natural lashes. Lo and behold, I stumbled upon The Glam Bar. It is located within Luxe Salon and Spa. The building is easy to find and they have their own parking lot. I called to make an appointment for the eyelash tinting, which was super easy. But keep in mind that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the reception desk and introduced to the Master Esthetician, Enza, who would be assisting me. Enza made me feel at ease right away, with her friendly demeanor and answering all of my questions. To my good fortune, they also offer brow tinting, (something else I've been wanting to try) and both services go hand in hand quite well. Enza showed me to a private room where I laid face up on a table. She then applied hydrating under eye patches. These served a dual purpose, to teat my under eyes and to protect my skin of the tint application. The tint application was easy as you just close your eyes (and keep them closed) while she paints it onto your lashes. Keeping your eyes closed and letting the tint sit, she then applies a tint to match your hair to your bows. You may feel a slight stinging sensation on your eyelids, but nothing unbearable. Enza then carefully cleansed my brows and eye lashes. I had planned on running errands right after, but nixed that idea because just like hair dye, some of the tint remains on your skin till your next face wash. I did try using some micellar cleansing water on a q-tip which helped a little. It's been a few days now, and I am very happy with the results! Getting both the eyelash and brow tinting done together also saved me a few bucks! ($30 each separately, $55 together) I am looking forward to returning to try their other services such as the hydra facial with celluma therapy at their Medi Skin Spa!

I am just passing though NJ, but after some Google search I found this salon. It was close to me and the cost seemed reasonable on their website (135+ for bayalage). Which is totally normal for my hair, it's usually 250 after tip. My salon experience cost me 414 after tip, which is mind blowing-I was so flawed over the price my hair color didn't hit until the next morning. I shouldn't have offered to pay before the service was over, I was just being kind so the owner didn't have to come back and close up after us. I never got a recept or a breakdown of what I was charged for. I have a feeling I was charged for additional services I didn't ask for, nor should have been warranted for a bayalage. I had Yngrid as my stylist and I LOVE how she cut and thinned my hair, but she missed the mark on the color after showing her pictures and telling her how I wanted it. Ultimately my hair was just highlighted an ugly gray color, it was "glazed," which I've never had done, and a root treatment...the point of a bayalage is that it doesn't start at the root, which I had stated in the chair...I wanted it to start a few inches from my root. Therefore a root treatment should have never been needed to "blend" the color. While I was also getting my hair done a client came in because she was not happy of the color of her hair. If I had time I would have gone back to have them tone it but I'm on the go and work late. I took time out of work to have my hair done (it was very over due). Overall this salon over charges for services, and it seems like the artists just do their own thing. If you can't simulate the style in the photos don't do the hair!
