This review would have been a one star if not for the great customer service provided by AJ Gonzalez in New Leaf's escalation department. I am now leaving this company a 5-star review. My initial dealings were horrific!!! I started with the customer service level of help. I spoke with many customer service representatives (I will not mention their names) from 07/23/26 through 09/03/26. I had a JennAir electric wall oven (JJW2830Il) which was 3 1/2 years old. This JennAir oven is covered under the JennAir warranty for 2 years and some of the parts carry a 5 year warranty. I had an extended warranty through New Leaf that warranted the oven for a total of 5 years. I came home on 07/22/26 to beeping from my oven. I googled this and found out that a hard reset needed to be attempted. This was done several times to no avail. I contacted New Leaf the next day 07/23/26. I was told that had no one available to service my area. I was asked to give New Leaf a couple of days to try to find a service company. I was contacted several days later and told a service person would be out in the morning of the day of the scheduled appointment. At noon no one had showed up. I contacted New Leaf and was informed someone was still coming. No one ever showed up on this scheduled appointment date. Another appointment was made for 08/06/26. A service company showed up on this date at the allocated time. I was told the assembly console was bad and would need to be ordered. This would take approximately 14 days. After 14 days I was notified by the service company that the needed part was on back order and to give them an additional 14 days. During this additional 14-day period I was told by New Leaf's customer service that the needed part was being manufactured. Next I was told the part had been shipped but they could not find tracking information. This continued on until the 3rd of September at which time I was informed the part on this 3 1/2-year-old oven was no longer available and the oven was discontinued. The person at new leaf said they would look into replacing the oven, but they were not quite there yet. Several days later I was informed the JennAir part which had gone back was under 5 year warranty through JennAir and this had now been turned over to JennAir as New Leaf had no responsibility due to the part being under warranty to JennAir (the 5 year warranty on the part did not include labor to install this from JennAir. I contacted JennAir which said they would provide a prorated price for a replacement oven and provided the replacement model number. JennAir provided a prorated price on the model JOEDC530RL which is the model that replaced my current oven. I was provided a prorated price from JennAir in the amount of $1,503.98. Again I contacted the person I had been dealing with at New Leaf customer service. I was told again that they would not provide a replacement oven even in lite of the fact their contract states if they cannot repair the oven, they will replace this. I also asked if JennAir provided the new oven would New Leaf cover the proration charge from JennAir. I was told no as the responsibility was with JennAir even though I had a 5-year warranty on this oven with New Leaf. I found out New Leaf has an escalation department that you contact via a different phone number. I was very fortunate to talk with a young man by the name of AJ Gonzalez. AJ Gonzalez listened to everything I had to explain. I explained what had been going on for a month and a half. I read him the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act as well as some other legalities. AJ Gonzalez asked if he could call me back as he wanted to talk to his boss. I receive a call back within 20 minutes. New Leaf picked up the prorated charge in the amount of $1,503.98. Oven was replaced by JennAir with the current model at no cost to me. Issued solved. New Leaf needs to take better care of its customers. If not for AJ Gonzales I would have hired a lawyer as there was no question that I was in the right. My many thanks to AJ Gonzales for the wonderful help he provided!!! Read less read more

I paid for an extended warranty but apparently there is no time expectation for service to be completed. The appliance service provider installed 3 boards 5 weeks after initial visit. With the first load after repairs, the washer had same symptoms. By the time they can return it will be 2 MONTHS! And new parts will probably be needed and an another appointment. Will this all take another month? New Leaf will not send out another service provider. They will not replace the washer and apparently there is no time frame for repairs to be completed. New Leaf drops the problem back in my lap to resolve issues with their contracted provider. What a scam! read more

I have a service warranty, which they are not honoring. They billed me $125 and put my account in suspension until paid. I waited three days in a row from 7 AM to 5 PM for their technician to show up. It is simply too long to write my whole story here, but I am on Facebook if you want to look at it there. I would actually give them a negative experience rating for the total lack and disregard for customer care. They should not be in the business of customer service because they don't give any to me and according to hundreds of others I have just read on Google they don't care about them either. read more

This "company" is so bad. How did anyone on yelp do anything higher than 1 star? Their 50% back warranty is set up in many ways to not pay you. 1. They are hoping you lost your original sales and warranty receipts ( no copies accepted) 2. They are hoping you forgot to file within 30 days of your 5 year warranty running out. Should there be a window for this? Yes. 30 days- eh I said 3 months...but again the hope is they want people to forget. 3. Submit some bogus certificate as well.. they clearly already have this info from your sales and warrant receipts. And they clearly have you in the system- this isn't the 1980s. So if you forget to submit some bogus certificate that they clearly don't need and are using this as a way of denying you. Even if you do everything- but this- they will deny you and say not to resubmit because you messed up. read more

This outfit SUCKS. Here was my last conversation with them: Hello Nicole, I spoke with Brooke in length yesterday about this issue. I told her that when my warranty renewal came up in May, 2024, nobody informed me of your eight-year warranty limit window. At the time, my cooktop was six years old. Had I known about the eight-year limit I would have absolutely extended for two years instead of one. I had been renewing at one-year increments because of the prohibitive cost. Regardless of what length of time New Leaf allows, my intention all along was to keep my appliances warrantied for as long as was available to me. "I'm sorry, but there's nothing else I can do." Brooke said that New Leaf reps always inform customers of the eight-year limit. I told her I was NOT informed by ANYONE of such a thing. "I'm sorry, but there's nothing else I can do." Brooke then told me that my issue was because I had renewed online. I then told HER that, by either method of renewing, that eight-year stipulation should have been made clear. Not only was it nowhere to be found on your online renewal form, it should have been, and it should be now. "I'm sorry, but there's nothing else I can do." I told Brooke that New Leaf has cheated a paying customer out of a year of service that any other customer is allowed. She asked me what else I expected her to do. I asked her if there was ANYONE above her to whom she could convey the issue. She said that no, because they wouldn't do anything anyway because my warranty is expired. * * * I will be writing as scathing a review as I can muster about New Leaf on your website, on Yelp, and whatever other review site I can find. I will also be calling my rep at the local Ferguson Showroom and convey all of this to them, so that hopefully they don't recommend New Leaf to anyone else. I may look into contacting my state attorney general, as well. I'm sorry, but there's nothing else I can do. --Kelly read more

LeaAnn got me right, she is amazing... she made everything simple for me and made sure I understood what was going on.

Is there ANYBODY worse than newleaf? I can assure you NOT. I didn't even know my warranty for my bbq was through them, but here we are. 50 days in for a replacement part, they are blaming Donald Trump for the tarrifs in place that are causing the delay. This company is an absolute joke. read more

Do not waste your money, this company is a SCAM. My washing machine broke 5 weeks ago, the same incompetent repairman has been here 4 times and has not repaired my machine. When I requested a different repair service, I was told another company was not available. So they want to send the same imbecile over who claimed there was nothing wrong with the washer and recommended we purchase a new surge protector & try plugging into that. read more

I have been dealing with New Leaf about my refrigerator that hasn't worked since October 18. It's been two months without a refrigerator, technicians have been, misdiagnosed the problem, ordered more parts and then I have to wait weeks for a technician to come. I had an appointment this coming Wednesday and they called me yesterday to reschedule. It's ridiculous that I can't get a refrigerator fixed for two months. It's not even three years old. I don't know who to turn to, I'm ready to just go buy another fridge and put this on on the curb! read more

NEVER EVER ACCEPT A WARRANTY CONTRACT FROM NEW LEAF! They do absolutely everything they can to screw you out of coverage. I had a 10-year extended major parts and labor contract. They do not cover a diagnostic - meaning, when you call a repair company, they ALWAYS send out a technician to diagnose the problem. For me, this was $250. New Leaf said, that's not covered .HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT'S WRONG IF THEY DON"T COME DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM? Next, my contract had a food loss coverage component. They screwed me over and said oh well this isn't actually covered. I was out $200 in food. Whoever works here should be embarrassed. read more

We purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from Plesser's Appliance store in Bay Shore. We also purchased a warranty thru the store with New Leaf a warranty company. The refrigerator died after two years. New Leaf sent a repair company to fix it. After four weeks they told us it couldn't be fixed. We spoke with A New Leaf customer service representative named Autumn. She was excellent, following up throughout the four weeks. She then advised that New Leaf would reimburse us for a new refrigerator. There should be more dedicated customer service personnel exactly like her. read more

I have never had such a negative experience with a company in my life. A ye hnician called Gods Hands came to fix my washing mach8ne. He told me it was an outlet problem and asked for 150 Just to diagnose the problem. Then I got a bill from the service company, New Leaf. Three New Leaf people told me that the bill comes from them, not gods hands. But when I didn't get my money back, I kep5 calling. Each time I got a different person and a different response. i filed a com0la9nt with my ban' and New Leaf lied to them, too. So here I am, 150 out of pocket. I have a service contract with New Leaf for my dishwasher. The dishwasher broke and won't turn on. I filed a claim with New Leaf, they assigned the claim to a service provider. It took about a week to get the provider to come out, at which point they needed to order parts. I got an email from New Leaf a few days later telling me the parts were approved. After that, there was radio silence for weeks. About a *month* after my claim was initially filed, New Leaf told me they had assigned my case to a new service provider because the old service provider "wasn't authorized." And because they had decided to use a new provider I would need a new technician to come out, diagnose the machine again, and order parts again. And that the new company would call me shortly. It is now 2 weeks later. The new provider just called to schedule our appointment, but getting that appointment required calling New Leaf every few days only to be told "we will call you back in 24 hours with an update" and never getting a call back. At this rate I won't have my dishwasher fixed for another 2 months. I would never buy another policy from this company. If I could get a refund and never have to deal with them again I would. Save yourself money, time, and aggravation. Learn from my mistake. read more

New Leaf Service Contracts has taught me a valuable lesson. Never buy an extended service contract again. Save your money to call a reliable repair company of your choice versus going through a third party vendor who assigns you to a repair company that is just as poorly rated as they are on multiple sites including Better Business Bureau. There is a part of me that feels sorry for the employees who must be so poorly educated and have been taught to lie, deflect answers, and basically must follow the party line or face termination. Perhaps my standards are too high given this company is based in Texas. read more

On 12/31/2021, I purchased an extended 5-year service plan on a freezer from New Leaf Service Pro, for $229.00. They refuse to honor the contract and I have exhausted my efforts with them. I opened a claim with them (3645285) on 1/9/24 for a leaking ice maker. The technician came out two times and determined that the broken part was a "non-serviceable part" on 1/22/24. New Leaf continues to lie to me saying that the case has been assigned to the "pending review team" and that I will have an offer (of some sort) within 24-48 hours, since the freezer cannot be repaired. They continue to tell me this lie and I cannot get any traction. Nobody will return my phone calls or respond to my emails. They promise to reach back out and provide an update, but they never do. It's just the same lie, over and over. 1/26 Amelia told me the lie. 1/31 Rey told me the lie. 2/5 Jose Garcia told me the lie. 2/8 Julio told me the lie and hung up on me. 2/8 Karina contacted the service provider to get more information. She also lied about sending me an email. 2/9 Karina told me the lie. 2/16 Ashley told me the lie. read more

This company is terrible. Filed a claim and they simply won't honor it and do not provide a valid explanation.

We purchased a 5 year warranty through New Leaf Service Contracts for a Blomberg dryer. Even though the dryer broke during the contract period, they wouldn't honor the service contract and told us that we were out of luck. read more

HORRIBLE. Should have read the reviews before getting a 3-year Service Contract extension on my dishwasher. Requested service on Monday morning. Prior to that email I called to cancel the contract and get a pro-rated refund. Even with the proration and $50 penalty, I'm Very happy I did! Service on my Samsung Washer, This company truly needs to listen to their clients , horrible client relations on the schedule of my washer its like pulling teeth. one year ago they sent out a service guy, service guy from Glendale, Nics appliance repair came to my door without scheduling. I was stepping out and advised I need to reschedule and why they did not call me. Nics appliance charged New leaf 57.75 for service call. NEVER ADVISED ME THE CLIENT so they put a hold on my warranty. so I called late September to get service they advised I needed to pay 57.75 to get my warranty back, so I paid and explained why they don't notify me(client), Long story short sent a service guy out this guy wants 250.00 before he orders parts. What is up with New Leaf Service Contracts. I will never purchase from Howards, I will let them know. So know its under investigation and here I wait with a washer which is not fixed for approx. a month now. I am currently looking for a phone with office of the President for New Leaf so they can investigate this situation or give me my 50% back. read more

They do not honor their warranties. Phone calls not returned. Poor communication. 0 customer service. I would not recommend them.

LeaAnn did a great job! She answered all my questions with knowledge and professionalism.

Avoid this warranty service if you can. The quality of service does not meet expectations. They are not fast. They have coverage loopholes. They do not have power over their service network. They will not intervene on your behalf. Our appliance will be offline for 3 weeks, and still no assurance that it will be repaired. We are stuck with it, and there is no way out of it. We feel like trapped and swindled. read more

BEWARE!!!! I purchased a range in 2019 and with it I purchased a 5 year service coverage plan from Leaf. The range now needs repair so, I reached out to get pre-approval of the service. New Leaf is denying my request saying their serial number doesn't match the one on the unit. Keep in mind, the original registration was done between new leaf and manufacturer and didn't involve my input. So, they made the error and are unwilling to take my word that this is the same oven. I am now out the $239 I spent on the plan plus need to pay for my repairs. Seems like a complete scam to me! I purchased a 5-year Newleaf d/b/a Monthly Warranty through Plessers Appliances for my undercounter Kitchenaid ice maker. This company is worthless. They point fingers at Kitchenaid/Whirlpool and Kitchenaid/Whirlpool points fingers at them. The unit has been broken probably 50% of the time and the appliance repair company, mostly Flamingo Appliance, is nothing but a parts changer. Now that Kitchenaid/Whirlpool says it is not fixable now Newleaf/Monthly Warranty says its is and it's up to Kitchenaid/Whirlpool to fix it. Now Kitchenaid/Whirlpool says it's out of the manufacturer warranty but my service warranty contract still has one month to go although the last breakdown occurred over 2 months ago and all Darrell of Flamingo did was change parts and never could get it to work. As you can see everyone is pointing fingers at each other and I'm stuck with a dead icemaker when it should be replaced. This unit has had a total of 3 compressors, evaporators, dryers, cutting grid wires, filler sensor and I could keep going. I've called and spoke with a supervisor at New Leaf/Monthly Warranty. Don't waste your time. Stay far away from this company. All they do is drag everything out hoping the extended warranty will expire and I will go away. Awful warranty service company. Purchased a washer machine Sept 2021 and added the extended warranty which was maintained by New Leaf. 2024 6/29 Washer machine breaks. Contacted New Leaf Services to schedule maintenance on washer. Took several calls with New Leaf because New Leaf had no record of my warranty. Finally, they found it. Scheduled service for Wednesday 7/2 between 1pm and 5pm. Received text from New Leaf's service provider Sears (aka A&E Factory Service) confirming appt. 6/30 Received reminder text from Sears regarding appt on 7/2 and to confirm. 7/2 Received text at 8:06AM confirming appt for that afternoon. Received text at 1:55pm that service technician was on his way. Received phone call from tech also. Technician arrived and determined parts needed to be ordered. Parts would be delivered to my home. Since it was a holiday weekend he said parts should arrive either Friday 7/5 or Monday 7/8. He would call on 7/8 to confirm if we had the parts. Received text confirming service appointment for Monday 7/8 between 1pm-5pm. 7/8 No call from service technician 7/11 Contacted New Leaf to check status of the claim. I was told they were having issues finding all the parts needed. They did find 1 part and it was sent to the technician. I asked why it was sent to the technician and not to me. They told me all the parts would be sent to the technician. I was also told that A&E did not have any of my contact information to update me on the status. Now they do and I would receive regular updates on claim status. Never received any emails from A&E. SO how did I get texts and calls from them and the service technician? 7/15 Called New Leaf again and they had no new information. They told me I could try contacting A&E myself. Called A&E and could not reach a live person. Called New Leaf back and was told they would outsource to find the parts. I would know within 24-28 hours. 7/22 Call New Leaf again since I had no follow up after last conversation. No new information. 7/24 Called again. Was told they found the parts and that the parts would be expedited to my home and I would receive a tracking number within 24 hours. Never received a tracking number. 7/26 Parts arrived at my home. Contacted New Leaf to schedule the repair. I was scheduled for Monday 7/30 between 1pm-5pm and I would receive confirmation. Never received confirmation. 7/29 Contacted New Leaf to make sure the repair appt was still going to be on 7/30. After being on hold for 45 minutes I was told that A&E rescheduled my service appt to 8/12. I was not contacted about this. They had no other appt available sooner. I explained I've already been without a washer for a month and can't go without for another month. I am also away 8/12-8/20. I expressed my frustration and anger for the poor service we were receiving. New Leaf representative said they would try to find another service provider and I would know something within 48 hours. As soon as I got off the phone with New Leaf I received text from A&E regarding the rescheduled appt to 8/12. 7/30 Received text from Sears that my appt was rescheduled to 8/3 between 1pm-5pm 7/31 Received text reminder of appt on 8/3 and to confirm. I confirmed and they responded with the confirmation. 8/1 Received reminder text of appt on 8/3 8/2 Received reminder text of appt on 8/3 8/3 Received confirmation text at 7:26AM confirming appt. At 1:32pm received text stating Technician was on his way. At 2:53pm received text stating that the appt was rescheduled to 8/9. Contacted New Leaf again and they said they would try to see what happened and reach out to me by Monday 8/5. 8/5 Received text from Sears Home Services stating there would be technicians in my area that can provide service sooner. First option was for Tuesday 8/6 between 1pm-5pm. I selected that option but got no confirmation. 8/6 Contacted New Leaf again to confirm appt was rescheduled to 8/6. They checked and did not see any appointment for today. They only saw the appt for 8/9. Supervisor Carol said that Sears (aka A&E) did not have the parts yet and that's why they had to reschedule. I have had the parts since 7/26. Supervisor said she was escalating again and I would hear back within 24 hours. Received text from Sears 2:25PM for appt reminder on 8/9 and to confirm. Replied with confirmation and received confirmation text. 8/7 Clicked on link in text to see details of appt at 7AM. It said my appt was cancelled on 8/7 for the Friday 8/9 service date. Called New Leaf again. They said there were 2 claims and the service provider cancelled one which was the appt for 8/9. Still had the appt on 8/12 booked. I told them that was not acceptable because I already informed them that I would be away 8/12-8/20. My claim was being elevated again and I would hear back by end of day today. 6 weeks and counting without a washer machine read more

Please stay away from New Leaf. They take your $$$ and don't serve. Our GE refrigerator has a known defect: the fan freezes over and stops blowing cold air, the temp goes up to 60 degrees F, and we lose our food to spoilage. After a few days the ice on the fan defrosts, and the cold air comes back. And the temp drops back down to 35 degrees. The first time it happened, the tech that came out saw that this problem had been "solved" (not really) and left without doing anything. Now we are on New Leaf's "BAD" list. They refuse to schedule an appointment. BTW, New Leaf customer service agents are trained to take the information, tell you that they're gonna call back and not call back. This happens all the time. (10-19-23) To whom it may concern: I purchased the Electrolux Front Load Perfect Steam Gas Dryer (EFMG527UTT) in June 2021. It came with a 10-year major component warranty (no coverage for labor). Main board failed 2 months ago. Called in warranty service. We were added to a wait list for repair service. 2 months of having to hang and dry our clothes outside. 2x site visits (1 diagnostic, 1 replacement)....$300 in labor to replace a $215 piece of hardware. Repair happened this Friday at 2pm. I woke up at 6am Saturday to find the dryer constantly running, with the steam valve non-stop spraying water. I can't get the water to stop even if I power the machine off. The only remedy is to shut the water valve off to both my washing machine and dryer. Assuming the same service process as before, I'll have to spend another $300 in labor. In total, I'll be $600 out of pocket for back-to-back failures. I'm posed with this situation: do I just buy a new machine considering the original cost was $999? This math does not make sense. Does Electrolux/Plessers stand behind this type of quality? Aside from the time and money side of this problem; what is the environmental impact for putting out this type of product to your customers? Is there really anyone who is going to spend more than the cost of the machine to repair it before they just buy a new one? The machine is literally 2.5 years old. (11-4-23) UPDATE: Plesser's in Babylon, NY sold me the unit. I contacted them regarding appliance repair. They recommended Quick Fix Appliance Repair in Lindenhurst, NY. New Leaf is who honors the 10-year extended warranty (Sold by Plesser's). After many hours of phone calls, scheduling + emails, I JUST TODAY FIND OUT THAT NOTHING IS COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. According to New Leaf, "MAJOR COMPONENTS = MOTOR ONLY" ....According to New Leaf, the MOTHERBOARD IS NOT A MAJOR COMPONENT AND THEREFOR NOT COVERED! All too convenient that all parties knew what part needed replacing and continued to guide me for "warranty repair." I was charged $582, waited 62 days for completion, and JUST NOW AM BEING TOLD, "SORRY, NOTHING IS COVERED." Scam artists from the top down. Original cost of machine $999 + NON-WARRANTY repair $582 = $1,581 total cost for a piece of junk. Plesser's rep told me to reach out to Electrolux directly; that Presser's would not have any weight negotiating on my behalf. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY WITH ELECTROLUX, PLESSERS OR NEW LEAF. They will bamboozle you until you're ready to give up and find another company. Awful. read more

Buyer beware. They market an extended warranty for appliances with a pitch that you'll receive 50% back of your purchase price of an unused New Leaf extended warranty. You have one shot at mailing in your claim for the rebate. If you don't have everything exactly as they want (invoice vs receipt), you'll be denied. This is understandable, however, you only get one chance to submit. If they determine any one minute detail is not to their specification, that's it, no rebate for you, period. No clarification or request for more documentation. Furthermore, I found their customer service to be extremely rude and petty, seemingly always needing to get in the last word as you would expect from a child. If I owned or managed this business, I'd be shocked and embarrassed at how they communicate with customers and conduct themselves. If I was New Leaf, I'd immediately drop them. What I find interesting is they have an A+ BBB rating, with no review (prior to this). However, if you look up New Leaf Service Contracts, Inc on the BBB website, Yelp, or Google, you'll find they are undeserving of this rating and likely only have this rating because they are a third party vendor/administrator of New Leaf plans so their business is easily overlooked. Bottom line, any contract that Gotham Service Plans are a part of should be a hard pass. This is my experience with them but judging from other reviews elsewhere, I know I'm not alone. Based off my previous interaction with them, I fully expect an unprofessional and passive aggressive response to this. read more

Bought an LG fridge at Orville's, they asked if we wanted to extend the warranty on the appliance, said yes, assuming it was through them not a third party, ok so the nightmare begins, Called NEW LEAF Warranty , , tech comes out and said it was the motherboard 3-5 days he will have a new one, 15 Or so days later he's back, put it in and says that will do it not being at the house more than 15 minutes, out the door and an hour later FF E showed up again call and tell tech, he so far has been to my house 5 Or 6 times with news parts, saying the Same crap, telling me he doesn't make the decision, so he keeps doing what new leaf tells him, it's now going on 3 months without a fridge, No Calls FROM NEW LEAF, just one email in the beginning to see if the problem was fixed, other than that ,I've called NeW Leaf at least 6 times on what they told me in the beginning that a fridge is a high priority item, so the rest of the story goes in a circle when I want a answer tech blames lew leaf , new leaf says ,it up to the tech, even got Orville's involved a little, them telling me just do this and get info from warranty comp and tech and send to LG and they will give you a new one, saying they do it all the time, well again nobody will email me any of there highly classified information that they have communicated to each other.next step is to drop it of at Orville's and demand a new fridge or I go to the local News stations and Get my Attorney involved, suing all involved my Attorney fee, inconvenience, pain and suffering, emotional and physical health, stress issues. less than a zero for star rating. Have you read your reviews, total opposite from what you say in your little paragraph about your company. anyone connected with this company should be ashamed and embarrassed to be associated, get away from them before they ruin your reputation also. read more

i spent $3400 on an LG fridge and paid for the 4 year extended warranty. my compressor went out and when new leaf sent an appliance repair person to my house the repair company stated my compressor was shot. he sent the repair in stating the compressor was shot and for future, yearly maintenance recommended. new leaf denied my claim and canceled my extended warranty because of the yearly maintenance recommended. do not ever use this company, i think they give kick backs to appliance repair companies to sabotage your warranty. so now i am out $3400 and i have to buy a new fridge. read more
