Our inspection from New leaf was great! Artie was so professional and a great guy to talk to. He was so knowledgeable and professional. The inspection done was done was though and so much care was taken in the work done. I highly recommend New Leaf Home Inspections, they were great. Thank you Artie. read more

So far, easy peasy!!!! Referred to these folks from my agent at Carolina Cooperative Realty, the docs were easy to sign and pay for.

I would not recommend this inspection company. The inspector (referred by my agent) missed several key issues. The report felt biased to help the sale go through. Hire an independent inspector -- I wish I had. read more

They were recommended by our realtor and I'm very pleased. They were able to come out on short notice for a quick sale on a Saturday. I was unable to attend the inspection, but the inspector went over everything by phone at the end of the inspection. The 30 page report came the next day with great photos and explanations. I was particularly impressed with the roof photos from the drone. He also included basic information about the property that we hadn't known. I would definitely use them again. read more

New construction. I believe Artie pointed out, what at face value appear to be minor, saved us $$ down the line. Michael Ziegler read more

I could not be more impressed by the thoroughness and attention to detail in the recent home pre-purchase inspection performed by New Leaf. The inspector (Artie) saw things even my Lasik-enhanced vision would never have noticed (until after closing of course). As a first-time home buyer, there is a lot of anxiousness in the purchasing process. Artie's inspection certainly helped relieve some of that for me. I can share his report with the builder and resolve most, if not all the findings, prior to the final walkthrough and/or closing date. Thankfully, there were no significant issues found. However, after having completed the inspection, Artie patiently walked me through everything he noted, including clear pictures/videos with descriptions on each one. Some were simple cosmetic items and others were noted as preventive measures to avoid problems down-the-road. He consistently mentioned his goal was to ensure the builder had this new home in as near "perfect" condition as possible for me. It truly felt like Artie did the inspection to a level as if he and/or his own family were purchasing this home. This type of service can be hard to find nowadays. Thanks, New Leaf Home and Inspector Artie!!! read more

Very professional and knowledgeable. Glad I used them. Would hire again, did new construction inspection and radon gas test

Robert was a great inspector. Very personable and his attention to detail was wonderful. Answered our many questions, did his due diligence in inspecting our home that we are purchasing. Couldn't of ask for anything or anyone better! Would definitely recommend. read more

Could not ask for a better resource ... Jason is head and shoulders above any that I have worked with in the past. Very much attention to detail and customer centric. Takes his time to insure everything is understood, and you are aware of next steps. We are a repeat client, as New Leaf performed the initial home inspection and our 11 month. They will be a number and resource that we will keep close. read more

I used them to inspect a home that I put an offer on to buy. I never met the inspector. The inspection was punctual and meticulous. They went through everything imaginable and documented the condition. The only thing that could have been better would have been for them to give cost estimates on the items that they noted were defective. However, that is not their job. read more

We just had a home inspected and I am pretty happy with the service provided by New Leaf. They covered all the various parts of the house and the report was categorized well. Pictures and videos were attached to the report with a informative write-up. read more

$8,200 in repairs on serious STRUCTURAL DAMAGE that NEW LEAF IGNORED!! Inspector (Artie) noticed possible termite/water damage on some trim in a front bedroom....but didn't bother to inspect the cause of the damage! He got 3-4 pics from the back end of crawlspace (of furnace, his moisture level reader, some pipes...insulation) BUT ABSOLUTELY NO PICTURES or inspection of any structural elements of my crawlspace!!! Even though in his report he acknowledges there might be some damage bc of how the trim looked. The front part of my crawlspace was completely ignored by Artie---I guess he just didn't feel like crawling all the way up there? Now it's costing my family $$$$$$ when it should have been caught and fixed by the previous sellers! Does New Leaf care? NOPE they said..."Best of luck" And just to be clear we've lived here a mere 1.5 years and this damage was there prior to us buying it according to several contractors and new inspector for the new buyer. No way it happened that fast. This is not "HIDDEN DAMAGE" either. Several other inspectors and contractors confirm the damage stretches quite literally to every corner of the home and was missed/ignored by New Leaf Inspections! They are taking no accountability for their inspector. Didn't even offer to give our $325 money back for the crappy inspection they did. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. They also didnt bother to take off the electrical panel to check there either-thank goodness we haven't had any issues there! Complaint filed with board so hopefully that will push them to train their inspectors better or something. I promise you there are better companies that will be more thorough with your inspection. Save yourself this headache and costly repair! Dont use New Leaf. read more

Jason was quick to respond to our inquiry and he was able to put us in his schedule within 3 days. We got our report that same day. Plenty of pictures and explanations. We are VERY satisfied with his knowledge, skill and value. read more

We are out of town buyers and were not present at the time of the home inspection or the termite inspection. Our real-estate agent set up the appointments, met them at the property and completed the inspections. Appointment was scheduled quickly and we were provided with pictures and details of the inspection the same afternoon as the inspection. We have not seen the property except for listing pictures and virtual tour. The home inspection process with New Leaf was efficient and easy for an out of town buyer. read more

I paid New Leaf Home Inspections for a residential and termite inspection. The inspectors came to the house during my diligence period. The reports I received did not mention termites infestation. The report did not list termite damages. Weeks after closing on the house my husband and I found termites and termite damages. Softwood on door frames, soft baseboards, deteriorating wood. There were structural damages to the house. Damages that were not reported. I emailed the New Leaf Home inspection. They responded to my email. ... "As home inspectors, we are not liable nor do we report on any wood destroying insects."... I filed a complaint with North Carolina Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. read more

I am buying a townhouse with 2wk close and sellers are out of town for this week and have 2 toddlers. The minute we went under contract I called all over looking for just an HVAC inspection as that is only concern, and I live in the complex and familar. So I signed up at 12:30 I signed up on web and set an appt with one of 3 techs to choose from and many slots to choose from. Then it says we will be in touch. I emailed at 1:30 to try and confirm it and they said they were waiting to hear back from the techs. At 5:30ish I email again and also text the owner Blaine, explaining this is for a home purchase and needed to know if it is confirmed. Then I hear back first that they don't really do HVAC insp and only service the units and that I should call an actual HVAC company. When I point out that they could have told me this at 130 and saved alot of trouble- etc etc I get well you should have planned better for your Due Dilligence Period. SO THUS MY NEGATIVE REVIEW. 5:30 when I CANNOT CALL ANYONE! NICE. REALTORS TAKE NOTE. read more

Very thorough inspection completed on short notice. Rob was very helpful in explaining some of the nuances of an older home's systems.

I was very pleases with how quickly NewLeaf Home Inpections responded & completed our new home inspection. We had them also do the pest control & termites & radon. Their reports were very thorough & easy to read & understand. Their 3 reports/results were available online very quickly. Price for all 3 was very reasonable. I would recommend them & use them again read more

I am a out of state home buyer. my agent set my home and septic inspection w/Blaine and team. Artie did the home inspection wish has missed several items that I seen during my visit to home. Upon speaking with him, he made adjustments to the report. Though his mannerisms were great, his detail for a great inspect was lacking. now for the septic, Jason did not do a complete and proper septic inspection. The system never pumped. He did a " looksie". 425.00 that I will not pay for. His mannerism was far from pleasant. I am dissatisfied with the inspection and absolutely with Jason. I would not recommend company for a proper and thorough inspection read more

As a local real estate agent, my team and I always choose to work with New Leaf. They do such an incredible job of relaying the information they find on the home, without pointing out silly details typical to every home. They do a great job and are extremely communicative and organized. Their reports are easy to read and explain to homebuyers. Blaine also takes the time to further explain any issues he finds on the inspections and sometimes offers DIY repair tips. read more

NO. Blaine's negligence in his inspection cost me thousands of dollars in repairs after buying the house and moving in. He told me he is not liable on any level for the OBVIOUS issue in the crawlspace that he missed. Why, then, do you hire an inspector? ...if they can do a bad job, walk away, and say "too bad" when you are left with the mess? read more

Completely missed Black mold and master water shut off valve not working-as he is not "allowed too" in his words. However after chatting with the state board he is in fact in his rights to test etc. He simply choose not too and blame it on the SOP's. Ended up costing us even more then his so called thorough "inspection". read more
