This is the second time I have used Matt at Sure Sight for a home inspection, the first was about a year ago, and once again Matt exceeded expectations. He is professional, detail oriented, and extremely thorough, while also being very easy to work with. He spent nearly four hours carefully inspecting the property and delivered a comprehensive report with clear explanations and high quality photos, covering every part of the home. The thermal imaging was especially valuable, revealing issues that would not be visible to the naked eye. I highly recommend Sure Sight for anyone looking for a top quality, reliable home inspection. read more

Matt was very professional and thorough with our home's inspection. He explained everything that he was going to do at the beginning and give us a complete summary of his findings at the end. His report will be very useful as we get all the items he listed fixed before our warranty runs out. We highly recommend him to other homeowners. Chris & Kei read more

Highly recommend Sure Sight Home inspection! Matt was extremely profession, quick to coordinate the inspection and went above and beyond to provide an extremely thorough and detailed inspection report. We are so please and happy we hired Matt/ Sure Sight to perform our home inspection. He is extremely knowledgeable and very detailed in his inspection. He offers thermal imaging scans which were fantastic and recommend adding these to his inspection - it was able to identify and catch things that can't be seen by the eye such as insulation in the walls. Could not be happier, please use Sure sight when need home inspection in the triangle. Thanks Matt! read more

Matt at Sure Sight is fantastic to work with. Highly responsive, friendly, thorough, and professional. You can tell he takes pride in his work and that he is passionate about it. His experience shows in the nuances of what he looks for in his inspections. I feel confident in his work and it definitely feels like you have a professional on your side. I hired Matt for pre-dry wall inspections for a new construction, for final inspection, and am planning to bring him back for a re-inspection when the builder rectifies all the findings. I also added the thermal imaging scan for the final inspection and I highly recommend it. There is a lot that can't be seen: missing or incomplete wall insulation, ceiling spray foam "leaks", new/recent water leaks inside walls and ceilings, heat dynamics from circuit breaker panel,...etc. His reports look great and provides photos (including thermal images when applicable), explanations, and recommendations. Highly recommended. read more

This is my 3rd time using Matt for my own home inspections. He did 2 new construction inspections and a 1-year warranty inspection. All 3 times he was meticulous and detailed in finding issues that needed to be addressed by the builder. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic home inspector! read more

I found Sure Sight (Matt) on Yelp and ended up hiring him to do my home inspection. I made my decision based on my comparison of quotes and sample reports. Also, this was one of the few inspection services I found that offers infrared imaging. I like people like Matt who take pride in their work. He was pleasant and professional to work with. From talking with him, I got the impression that he has the right combination of technical skills and an investigative/problem solving mindset which goes a long way in this type of work. He spent a generous amount of time at the house (6.5 hours) and met with me at the end of the inspection for a quick wrap up and to answer questions. I received a written report by e-mail the same day of the inspection. I was happy that it was very detailed (53 pages!) and organized with a table of contents, assessments of each system, and a summary at the end. It was easy to understand and explained all findings without being unnecessarily "technical". It also included supporting photographs and infrared imagery. Overall I felt confident in the quality of the inspection and well-informed by the written product. Would work with Sure Sight again next time I need help with an inspection. read more

Matt came out to do a full inspection on my new home. My home came with a one year home warranty. I am so glad that I paid extra for the infrared camera he uses to detect heat and moisture. He found places that insulation was not properly installed and thankfully no water issues in the wall, but I wanted peace of mind with all that. He was at my home for almost 6 hours. He checked EVERYTHING! I am so grateful and his prices were in line with others and I am sure he was far more thorough. He saved me money in the long run. I highly recommend him! read more

This review is for the one-year completion home inspection done by Matt on 08/31. He was right on time. We appreciate that he was thoughtful enough to bring different shoes to wear inside the home. He was very thorough and professional. He listened to the concerns we had and made sure to check out everything we discussed. After the inspection was done, he patiently explained what he found and how it can be fixed. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you, Matt! I highly recommended his home inspection services. read more

Matt, from Sure Sight Home Inspection, was awesome. He came recommended through my realtor and he was the only one who could meet my schedule. So, it was pretty lucky that we worked together. But, Matt was fantastic. He spent 8 hours going through a 75 year old house methodically and thoroughly. He checked every crevice and found lots of stuff that I'm fairly certain most inspectors wouldn't have found. He explained the issues to me patiently and was friendly and professional. He didn't charge extra for the extra hours he had to spend. Great job. read more

Matt was very thorough in his inspection and in his summary of the report. He was very professional, had a great attitude, and answered all of my questions--and I had a lot--without making me feel uncomfortable or rushed. I would definitely work with him and SureSight in the future for home inspections. read more

This review is a little late considering we used Sure Sight in 2012. Matt was simply awesome to deal with: thorough, professional, detailed, informative and honest. He made my home buying experience a comfortable process. I wouldn't recommend any other company to handle a home inspection in the Raleigh area. read more

I had Matt with Sure sight Home Inspection, Inc. perform a 1 yr home inspection with infrared imaging on Monday, April 29th. Matt arrived promptly at our agreed time. I could tell Matt was professional when he arrived with two pairs of shoes, one for inside and one for outside. Before he started, he gave me a brief run-through of what he will be doing. He proceeded to spend the next 5 plus hours inspecting my home. He was thorough and quite detail oriented which I liked very much. Upon the completion of the inspection, he spent over an hour going through the detail of what he found. His explanation of what he found as well as links to specifications of items that needed to up fixed are vital for me to get my builder to agree to fix or provide documents stating they will stand behind the work done. I also requesting I fared imagining. No one else offered this and I was happy I had him do this. Among things he found, there was insulation missing in a wall between the garage and my pantry. I highly recommend adding this to any home inspection. Matt said that he would send me the final report at the end of the day or no later then the next morning. He delivered the final report at the time he said he would. Matt is professional and very detailed. I will ask him back to do a post inspection after my builder finishes the repair. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a thorough home inspection. read more

Matt showed up on time and performed a 1-year inspection on my new home. He was able to find various issues that the builder was responsible to fix and this saves me money in the long run. His price was inline with other builders that I looked at, and I feel that I got my money's worth given that he took his time and thoroughly inspected my property. Matt was very personable and was able to give me some advice on dealing with the builder to resolve the issues that he found. read more

Matt was incredibly thorough in his inspection of the home I'm purchasing and actually impressed the seller so much that they are going to use his services for the home they are buying. Highly recommended, and the best inspector I've ever worked with. read more

I would recommend Sure Sight Home Inspection to anyone needing a thorough home inspection. I hired Matt to inspect my new construction home before the one-year warranty expired. I knew pretty quickly that I should have hired him for the pre-construction inspection. The guy I hired for that spent about an hour, total. I had a roof leak right after I moved in, which wasn't caught in the pre-construction inspections. There's no comparison. Matt was all business - punctual, knowledgeable & thorough. He spent hours & caught so many important fixes needed. The cost of the inspection was far less than the cost the repairs would have been. I will definitely hire him when I need a home inspector in the future. read more

Matt was very professional and very thorough in our inspection. He caught a few items that were missed by another inspector during our pre-move inspection. He also mentioned valuable pointers for some of the items he found and how the builder might respond. Overall, I was very impressed with his work and would highly recommend him. read more

This review is for an inspection that Matt completed on my late-80s-era home in Cary, which was purchased in June 2013. He did an excellent, thorough, professional job and clearly has in-depth knowledge about how housing should be constructed and the various building codes. Very impressed with his level of detail, and he was also helpful when I had questions too. read more
