I found Sure Sight (Matt) on Yelp and ended up hiring him to do my home inspection. I made my decision based on my comparison of quotes and sample reports. Also, this was one of the few inspection services I found that offers infrared imaging. I like people like Matt who take pride in their work. He was pleasant and professional to work with. From talking with him, I got the impression that he has the right combination of technical skills and an investigative/problem solving mindset which goes a long way in this type of work. He spent a generous amount of time at the house (6.5 hours) and met with me at the end of the inspection for a quick wrap up and to answer questions. I received a written report by e-mail the same day of the inspection. I was happy that it was very detailed (53 pages!) and organized with a table of contents, assessments of each system, and a summary at the end. It was easy to understand and explained all findings without being unnecessarily "technical". It also included supporting photographs and infrared imagery. Overall I felt confident in the quality of the inspection and well-informed by the written product. Would work with Sure Sight again next time I need help with an inspection. read more

Matt came out to do a full inspection on my new home. My home came with a one year home warranty. I am so glad that I paid extra for the infrared camera he uses to detect heat and moisture. He found places that insulation was not properly installed and thankfully no water issues in the wall, but I wanted peace of mind with all that. He was at my home for almost 6 hours. Matt, from Sure Sight Home Inspection, was awesome. He came recommended through my realtor and he was the only one who could meet my schedule. So, it was pretty lucky that we worked together. But, Matt was fantastic. He spent 8 hours going through a 75 year old house methodically and thoroughly. I had Matt with Sure sight Home Inspection, Inc. perform a 1 yr home inspection with infrared imaging on Monday, April 29th. Matt arrived promptly at our agreed time. I could tell Matt was professional when he arrived with two pairs of shoes, one for inside and one for outside. Before he started, he gave me a brief run-through of what he will be doing. He proceeded to spend the next 5 plus hours inspecting my home. He was thorough and quite detail oriented which I liked very much. Upon the completion of the inspection, he spent over an hour going through the detail of what he found. His explanation of what he found as well as links to specifications of items that needed to up fixed are vital for me to get my builder to agree to fix or provide documents stating they will stand behind the work done. I also requesting I fared imagining. No one else offered this and I was happy I had him do this. Among things he found, there was insulation missing in a wall between the garage and my pantry. I highly recommend adding this to any home inspection. Matt said that he would send me the final report at the end of the day or no later then the next morning. He delivered the final report at the time he said he would. Matt is professional and very detailed. I will ask him back to do a post inspection after my builder finishes the repair. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a thorough home inspection. read more

I would recommend Sure Sight Home Inspection to anyone needing a thorough home inspection. I hired Matt to inspect my new construction home before the one-year warranty expired. I knew pretty quickly that I should have hired him for the pre-construction inspection. The guy I hired for that spent about an hour, total. I had a roof leak right after I moved in, which wasn't caught in the pre-construction inspections. There's no comparison. Matt was all business - punctual, knowledgeable & thorough.
