Building a home during a pandemic has been nothing short of a nightmare. Between the inventory…read moreshortages and no shows with contractors, I had given up on any company's ability to function. I had chosen an independent inspector for a pre-drywall inspection and he forgot to call me to meet him at the home to review his findings. I didn't even know this was possible. I felt the need to find a new inspector for the pre-closing inspection. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted by Nest Egg's customer service and willingness to assist. Teandra, Mark, Jamie, and Pete have all been so great to work with. I had an inspection on a Friday afternoon and was told the report would be received by Sunday evening. Like clockwork, it appeared in my email box at the promised time. Upon receiving the report, my realtor and I remembered we needed a radon test. I called Monday morning around 8:16 am. By 8:45 am, I received a call back to discuss a radon appointment and a validation of repairs visit. By the end of the call, I didn't have any scheduled appointments due to my need to obtain more information from the builder. Luckily, I had an appointment with the builder at 9 am. By 10am, Pete showed up with the radon test! I'm seriously in awe of this fantastic team. At a time when I have dealt with really poor customer service and communication, Nest Egg has restored my faith in humanity. I cannot thank them enough. I will be scheduling my warranty visit and singing their praises for years to come.

So I had Pillar to Post do my home inspection because my realtor suggested them. First I was told…read morenot to come to the inspection because of covid but after insisting I was told I could come. Throughout the inspection, the inspector and my realtor chit chatted. I got the report and there were only minor issues noted. Once I moved into the home things got crazy. The refrigerator was missing 2 shelves, 3 door shelves were broken, and I was missing shelves in the freezer. The dishwasher soap dispenser was broken. The dryer vent was so crimped it was basically blocked. The washing machine was full of mold - between the drums and the water pump was basically not connected. The upstairs thermostat did not work and upon further inspection the gas line to the furnace had been turned off. Once it was turned on the damper motors were found to be broken and the bypass for the dampers had been improperly installed. The dormer windows upstairs had been leaking and damaged a ceiling. So basically, almost every major appliance was a disaster and the roof needed repair. All of these items were not found on inspection. I would definitely not recommend Pillar to Post the Beal team as your inspectors because none of these issues were found. They found that a light bulb was burned out in the kitchen cupboard and that the pantry door was missing a latch. If you want a thorough inspection do NOT use them! I have been continuously have contractors in my home to do all of these repairs! BEWARE!
