Me and my boyfriend have tried ordering from multiple Chinese takeout places in our neighborhood on grubhub and in person and this one has by far been the best place we've tried. We had beef with broccoli and shrimp in garlic sauce and were blown away by how good both were. On top of that, they were both only $6 and came with a very healthy serving of white rice. I don't think I've written a yelp review in years (if at all) but after eating their food on top of how cheap it was, I had to leave a review! (at least that's how I feel). read more

Really good portion sizes and quick service for cheap chinese food! CASH ONLY Food- 3 Taste: 3 Presentation: 3 Atmosphere/Aesthetic- 2 Service- 4 Price/Value- 4 I got the smaller size of orange chicken for $6. It's a pretty good portion size! It also comes with white rice and a couple pieces of broccoli. I split it up into two meals. Since it is cheap, the quality of the chicken was meh. Not spicy or super savory, however it satiated my animal craving for panda express. There's a couple tables you can eat at or wait at. I walked in and got my food to go in about 12 minutes. They throw duck sauce and soy sauce in the bag too which is nice. read more

New Jin Shing - Orange chicken (small size) $6 (insta: @yumshorty) - Chinese Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

This place serves superior Chinese food to other Chinese food restaurants in the area. How do I know this? My husband ordered delivery from all of them so we could know who had the best Chinese food and delivery lol. This spot was our favorite for good flavor, portions, speedy delivery and friendly service. My favorite thing to order is the General Tso's Chicken w. veggie fried rice. This is our pick for Chinese food in the area! read more

Nothing too exciting. Wasn't bad, just regular. I do think they close a bit earlier than most, but i think the neighborhood plays a part

We were looking for your typical New York City Chinese food experience and we got it. Only complaint was that we really wanted a sit-down place and even though it's advertised as having seating, it's really only two tables and a bench more designed for quick in and out eating. Still, the staff were super nice and accomodating. We ordered orange chicken, veggie lo mein, steamed dumplings, crab rangoon, and a wonton-egg drop soup. The orange chicken was cooked perfectly and in nice bite-sized pieces unlike a lot of places that give you huge gobs that take 2-3 bites to eat. The sauce wasn't too far orange, too sweet, or too spicy, just right. The lo mein could have used a few more veggies, some huge chunks of broccoli paired with more microscopic shreds of cabbage and carrot, but had great flavor. The meat dumplings were tasty, a bit doughy, but the dipping sauce that came with had a nice hint of heat to it which was unexpected and delightful. The crab rangoon weren't just plain cream cheese, you could see the krab and scallions along with tasting it and some nice seasoning, so A+ on those. My only real disappointment was the soup. The egg drop didn't have a lot of flavor, I know when I make it I use chicken broth and some wonton soup powder mix. The wontons themselves were tasty though, so it was at least worth that part. All in all, the price and the value, along with the quality and flavor, I'd come back if I were in the area. Is it worth going out of your way for this place? Not really, but it's a good local pick. read more

I ordered some food from here today on Labor Day and the service was pretty quick. The food is actually pretty good but I was very surprised at the spring roll I ordered. It was definitely not worth $1.25. While that is a very low price I think it was an absolute rip off considering its size and how much I get when I order from other Chinese restaurants. I'll order from here again but maybe not the spring roll. read more

Just ordered from this shiesty establishment; buyer beware! The guy ordering in front of me, left his food on the table and walked out after arguing with the woman taking orders. Which should've been enough to send me up the block to another restaurant, but no, I rolled the dice. The lady taking my order was very rude and told me she was busy when I tried to get her attention to add to my order. She then sneakily charged me extra for swapping out pork fried for egg fried rice which already comes with the combo. GREEDY, RUDE, and UNAPOLOGETIC. My advice, walk up the block, there are plenty of other Chinese restaurants in the area. Spend your money where it's appreciated. Also, found a staple left inside of my food SMH!! Stay away! read more

New Jin Shing - a fork with broccoli on it - Chinese Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Do not. So so bad. I pretty much like all food and thing everything is good. This was badddd. The hot and sour soup was fine but the fried rice looked like Mexican rice with veggies in it. The chow fun tasted bad. Just don't read more

Great food! Decent nice shrimps Delivery is fast and food arrives hot. Delivery guy is really nice. This is my go to spot when we are craving Chinese food. read more

Best value - finally found good delivery Chinese that's actually as cheap as the stereotype. See my pic. Ordered kung pao chicken, chicken Lo mein, wonton soup, and orange chicken, all of which are beyond decent. I ordered "pint" sizes for them all and got full sizes - what amount would a quart have gotten me??! read more

New Jin Shing - Subtotal b4 tax+tip=$21! Rice and soda (real Coca Cola, not mystery soda in a plastic soup container lol) were complimentary - Chinese Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Food was great and delivery was so fast! I ordered chicken and brocoli with white rice, french fries with chicken wings and its was so delicious. read more

This is my go to Chinese around the apartment. We average .75 trips a week. I usually get the gen tso and chicken wings with fries.

I've been here in Bushwick for a year now, and this is BY FAR the best chinese food experience I've had. They are the ONLY Chinese food I will even think of calling. I have never been to the store, so my review is strictly order in. But that's what chinese food is for anyway. I was recommended this place by several friends, all locals. I had been ordering from another place for a while, and had been disappointed regularly. I had assumed for months that the best it gets around here is mediocre, and had begun to stop getting my favorite dishes and losing my faith in chinese food delivery for my area. Until I finally tried New Jin Shing. They can be a little thick on the phone (accent that is, not thick headed) and I have found that it is a good idea to have the order repeated back to me, just to be sure nothing was lost in translation. Either way, the food was up to regular NYC par. Not the best I've ever had, but for chinese food take out they are superb! I have tried a large variety of dishes and nothing has been disgustingly greasy, salty, undercooked or scary to consume. They are very patient, very nice, prudent and always call when they are close. I wouldn't think of, nor have I, called ANY other chinese food for close to nine months now. if you live in the area and order from anywhere else, I am confident you are being disappointed, and I urge you to try New Jin Shing. I have converted half of my building to this place, and everyone I have spoken to agrees: This is the best that our side of Bushwick/Bed-Stuy has to offer! read more

Best Chinese food in the area! Im ordering again, they always listen to special request!

Best orange chicken I've ever had!! We ordered delivery through Yelp which was so convenient. The portion sizes were HUGE. Myself and a friend both ordered the orange chicken (which comes with portion of rice) and by then end of it, we'd have made a full portion with our leftovers! (They didn't go to waste though!) read more

For the past couple times I have had bad experiences with my Chinese food deliveries. I felt like it was either good food or fast delivery but never the two combined. So hubby and I decided to give this place a try as my 2 friends always order from here. When we called - the lady answered with the name of the business and was pleasant to talk to (she had accent but was easy to understand). She was willing to take time to listen to us to make sure the order was placed correctly. The delivery took about 30 min (35 from the moment we first placed a call till the food was in our hands). We had sesame chicken combination platter and triple delight chef specialty (plus egg rolls of course). The food was definitely above average. Maybe if you were a connoisseur of Chinese food - this would receive a 3 star for food... however in this neighborhood (and I've lived here for 9 years) I feel like this is really as good as it gets. Will definitely order again (it is becoming Chinese delivery of choice). They advertise that none of their food has MSG... and have many different options on their special diet menu. read more

Great new eat in/take out/delivery Chinese place. I haven't been in, but have had several very positive delivery experiences. The second time I called for delivery, the lady recognized my voice and said my name and address before I could. (I was impressed.) Food is probably above average for cheap Chinese food, but not amazing. They really hit it out of the park with service (competent and friendly, delivery in around 30 minutes) and value (more than 1 meal + leftovers for under $10), though. One more thing: I definitely recommend adding the fried dumplings to whatever you're getting. read more

Been our go to for 2 years now portions seem to be getting smaller but the half chicken with fried rice and sesame chicken with French fries and the full pork ribs are the best dishes read more

CASH ONLY! For a local Chinese place, the food was decent, cheap, and the staff was very kind and friendly. I got the Hunan Shrimp which was loaded with vegetables and the shrimp was cooked well and large. They also have brown rice! That's a bonus in my book! Overall it's a take out/ delivery Chinese place - so don't expect too much. But one of the best ones in the area in my opinion. read more

Best Chinese takeout in the neighborhood! They are the friendliest, are clean and their fried rice is the best in town!

Food was mediocre at best and the rice in my fried rice was heavily undercooked... the rice was hard to chew. I also got the General Tso's chicken and there was way more batter than actual chicken. Delivery also came later than scheduled. One thing I did like was the hot and sour soup and will consider ordering that again. read more

I have gone to New Jin Shing for over 9 years since moving to Bushwick, then to nearby Bed-Sty. They are clear, decent prices and the food is delish. They have fast, free delivery and the staff are friendly, especially "My Friend" the smiling lady taking orders. I almost always order the same dish and they never give me "weird looks". They are also my go-to spot for party platters! For a bout a hundred bucks, I can serve up to 20 folks for an impromptu house party! read more

This is my neighborhood Chinese take-out joint, just a couple blocks from my house. I would like to confirm that the staff here is exceptionally pleasant and polite, and that delivery is lickety-split. That's why I give them four stars. As food goes, it's pretty standard. But they don't use MSG and they are relatively light on the oil (which is always fresh). If you go to the counter, if they aren't too busy I can usually talk them into modifying the dish to my taste. I've gotten them to prepare lightly sauteed Chinese greens with just a bit of garlic and hot pepper. And yes, do order the vegetable dumplings -- fried please. read more

It is your run of the mill Chinese takeaway place. Very economical, food is not that great , portions sizes are good but a noticeable lack of meat in the food. read more

Worst chinese food I ever had in my life it looked nasty, it was delivered cold, and I'm not dealing with it no more *BEWARE*

Food is pretty good for americanized chinese. Broccoli chicken was delicious. Steamed dumplings were no good (im sure fried is better). They overshot delivery estimate by over an hour. Guy came & said it was because i live too far. I dropped my phone twice while falling asleep waiting in the apartment lobby. read more

Very high quality food and fast delivery! I go into the restaurant often and I recommend the egg rolls with shrimp, the shrimp lo mein is delicious, and so is the egg drop soup. I like how they are very polite and friendly, maybe it's what you give is what you get, but even when I'm having a not so great day they will make me smile. read more

Hate to give them one star because they used to be so good. Bear in mind my sister and I always order the same thing, CHICKEN WINGS AND LOMEIN. Don't know what these wings were this time but OMG THE WORST EVER. They were scrawny, stale and overcooked. The lomein wasn't good either, maybe they had a different cook that day. read more

I am literally less than five minutes away and exactly 1.5 miles away and they said they can't deliver because I "live too far." Wow....

This place is my favorite Chinese spot in the neighborhood. Super cheap, but always fresh, hot, and delicious. As people have said, the General Tso's chicken is the bomb. The spot is ca$h only for delivery (and maybe pick-up), which is annoying but it is what it tis. read more

New Jin Shing is our go to Chinese takeout place since moving into eastern Bed Stuy. The prices are excellent and portions are very generous. As others mentioned, they are very professional on the phone and will throw in a free soda for every 20 bucks spent. Can't beat that. read more

I order from this place all of the time. It's not exceptional food, compared to the rest of New York City's offerings. However, it probably is one of the best places to eat cheaply in the neighborhood, which has limited offerings in the 'delivery/take-out food' category. My favorite dish at this restaurant is the fried tofu with mixed vegetables. Not all of the food is good at New Jin Shing. I had a couple of dishes I disliked. However, most of them are good. The fried tofu and mixed vegetables is always delicious. read more
