After being a loyal customer for literally decades im afraid things have changed at China Express and not for the better. The price of the food has gone up by a lot. Its no longer the affordable option and their servings have gotten smaller. I ordered a shrimp with broccoli and white rice as well as some crab rangoon. There was barely any filling in the crab rangoon but ended up being just fine. The shrimp with broccoli was bland but also tasted very OFF. It went right in the trash. It was fishy and did not taste fresh. Whatever happened here, I hope they figure it out. read more

The food is and has always been awesome, I (used to) love ordering from here. The cashier woman with the glasses is the rudest person I've had to come across in years. And she works there full time so it's hard to avoid her. She looks at you with complete hatred even if you say hi or thank you she just stares at you with hatred. They're probably never going out of business with 7 big buildings and a police precinct and fire dept right there, but about the best things I can say is it's clean, food comes out fast and cheaper than most options. What is not to be lauded is it's going the way of many places, giving less and charging more. I can't prove it but the servings seem smaller, but what I can def see is the specials no longer come with drink and or soup, so you pay extra for that and they've even charged for the hard dry noodles that used to come on side with soup, that seemed especially heinous. There are no niceties here, they are polite enough, but they are not accommodating, for instance, "can I have my beef shredded in my pepper steak?"-"No, it's precut"-I've been to other places that will gladly make this change, but not them, it's take it or leave it, that's why I only go here in an absolute emergency (nearby, gotta eat), but hoping writing this review will remind me to never go here again. read more

I used to be a huge fan of this Chinese restaurant until today! I am 8 Months pregnant and decided to order 2 order of chicken wings with French fries and crab sticks. My order came up to $15.75. When the guy came to deliver the food I also tipped him $5 being that it's cold outside. Hungry I started chomping down my food I get to the 3rd crab stick to find plastic in my mouth while I'm chewing. I spit out the crab leg and couldn't believe there was a long piece of plastic that came out my mouth. I called them for a refund if the crab sticks the lady on the phone said sure $4.75 will be giving back to me and give them the remains of the food I haven't eaten. Delivery guy comes back and opens the bag of in eaten food tells me to hold on and calls the lady, he hands me the phone and she says how many crab sticks came in my meal, I told her 4 and that there were 2 in eaten crab sticks left and the one that had the plastic. She says I'm not giving you a full refund you can get $2.00..... are you serious, I didn't even argue I told her they can have the food and the money. I'm highly disgusted scared what else did I eat! The food: kung pao chicken dinner combo (comes with egg roll) - it was delicious egg drop soup - also delicious shrimp lo mein - lo mein was good, shrimp was so-so pork fried rice - delicious szechuan spicy wontons - not good, they were sweet and not so spicy triple crown (tender white meat chicken, beef & jumbo shrimps blended with seasonal chinese vegetables. it is given personality by a brown sauce for epicures only) - not to shabby, but not as delicious as expected I would totally order from them again.
