Skip this one. Food was not hot enough even from hibachi, which is their main attraction. Chicken for grill cut so thin it cooked before rest and came out rather tough. Limited veggie selection. They add sauce and garlic for you. Not a plus. Control is why you use such places. Bathroom ok but tables left very dirty and not cleaned quickly after use even when place not very busy. Floor and chairs not even looked at after diner finished Pay as you enter is not so unusual but waitress made a pest of herself to get tip. And help spoke loudly to each other in their language with no concern about customers dining. read more

New Hibachi Buffet - Food may look good but that's because grill wasn't hot enough so broccoli is almost raw and nothing is steamy - Chinese Near Me - Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Dirty utensils, poor service, greasy food. We were the only ones in the restaurant and my water wasn't filled for a while because our "server" was playing on his iPad. In my opinion a restaurant can succeed if their employees take pride in their business and work hard... it is clear that this restaurant is going down hill. Would not recommend. read more

New Hibachi Buffet - My empty water with my waiter playing on his iPad. - Chinese Near Me - Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Best Chinese buffet in Wisconsin, amazing service as well. We will definitely be recommending this to friends and coming back for more!

This chinese buffet serves very 'americanized' entrees. So much so, that my youngest daughter (the buffet instigator) asks to dine elsewhere from now on because the selection is too bland for her. During a recent visit for dinner (our last) the buffet lacked all Asian buffet favorites like sesame chicken, governor's chicken, egg fu yung, spring rolls, etc. Soups were cold and gelatinous. Items were heavily breaded and bland. They provide a tame selection of sushi rolls. The takeout sushi rolls at Copps grocery store are better. The sashimi I plated had an unnatural 'slime'. Best avoided. More food went back to the kitchen than was eaten. The basic buffet is 1-star. The best feature of the buffet is the Hibachi offering that allows you to put together your own stir fry combo. However, there are better Hibachi locations in Stevens Point. Price for dinner is $10 per seat, with drink. It seems affordable until you discover how disappointing buffet entrees are. read more

Great food and service for dine in buffet during the pandemic! They give you a menu for you to order from, and they make it all made to order. The waitress had great and warm service. It felt like as if she was my auntie making sure my group and I were full and satisfied. Food was great and so was the fried shrimp! read more

This evening we decided to eat here completely on a whim - we were visiting Point and pulled over in a random parking lot to decide where to eat, and lo and behold this is where we pulled in. I believe that this was most likely an act of God. Due to COVID-19 the buffet is not operating as usual. Here's how it worked: we were seated with laminated menus and dry-erase markers to choose what we wanted, and everything was made to order, save for some preportioned fruit and dessert that you could get yourself. Due to this we worried we had misread the sign, and that the sticker price was per plate, but no - it truly was $13.99 per person for as much amazing food as we could stomach in one sitting (only $10.99 if you don't order seafood, but my husband and I are huge seafood junkies). It really is all-you-can-eat, with large portions made fresh and extremely delicious. Some of my favorite items were the crab rangoons (I usually am not a big fan, but these were not skimpy on the crab and didn't just taste like cream cheese), the crayfish, the oyster sauce mushrooms, green beans (so fresh you wouldn't believe) and what I believe was mango pudding. Seriously my new favorite dessert. If that by itself wasn't mindblowing enough, let me tell you about the service. We walked in to a completely empty restaurant, with absolutely no one, staff or customer, in sight. It was definitely awkward until the sweetest woman in the world emerged from the kitchen. I wish I had asked her name, but you'll know it's her when you meet her. She seemed so genuinely excited to have us in the restaurant and to whip us up something special. She very eagerly helped us order, pointing out some of her favorite things on the menu, asking us what we liked and giving us amazing suggestions. She also made great conversation that was super friendly and not at all awkward. Her sunny demeanor filled the whole restaurant (which I'll remind you was completely empty except the three of us) and made my day. I walked out of the place feeling like I just met a long-lost family member. I wish I could have tipped 100%. If this sounds too good to be true, go see for yourself! Worst case scenario, you still get the incredible value. I will now be spending many weekends trying to convince my husband to drive back out to Point and visit Asian Buffet again. read more

Really shitty Chinese food careening down an oil-slicked pink Slip N' Slide--this is what I imagined was happening inside my body during and after I ate here. Super oily, not yummy, probably wouldn't go here again. I mean, I should have guessed, but there is always the possibility that one might find a GOOD Chinese buffet, right? RIGHT?? Too expensive for what it tasted like, and there wasn't a ton of variety compared to others I've been to. Some of the dishes looked downright nasty. And--of course--I didn't even go near the sushi. That's just asking for food poisoning, amirite? Go to a sushi restaurant for sushi, not a cheap, crappy Chinese buffet. I don't recommend this place. There's gotta be somewhere better around. read more

I wish I could've put no stars. I had a horrible experience and will never return. Service is bad and food is worst. It was also made very clear to me that black people are not welcome. Find somewheres else to dine. read more

No stars!!! Stopped in on a Wednesday about 4pm. Place was not that clean but I have found some of the best Asian food from similarly not so tidy joints. Buffet had ALOT of food especially seafood. I went straight to the hibachi filled my plate with the questionable meat and low variety veggies, the one employee went to cook my plate and grabbed two visibly dirty spatulas from the bottom of the sink and start cooking! Yuck! I already knew I wasn't going to eat it so I wasn't too bothered as he continuously coughed as cooked. All the other food was obviously sitting there well before the dinner transition and the sushi even read 1:30 - 3:30pm. After cooking the hibachi the one employee continued to cough with increasing enthusiasm and never once covered his mouth while walking all over the buffet and near our table, my mother and I both lost our appetite after a few bites and left. Paid over 30$ to leave hungry, grossed out and hopefully without contracting a cold. One day I hope to find an Asian buffet that is actually clean and tasty! Quantity never trumps quality when it comes to food. Last time I stop to eat before checking my Yelp app. read more

New Hibachi Buffet - The undercooked hibachi - Chinese Near Me - Stevens Point, Wisconsin

I have to say, this place got worse over time, I used to live in Point and ate here once in a while, it was okay then. Now, very disappointed-food selection was very few, bathrooms are super dirty... read more

Very goof place for a Asian buffet. I have going here for occasionally about 2 years. I have never had a problem.

The rice was hard and dry. Other food was hard and out for a long time. A plate i picked up was oily on the bottom so wasn't washed very good. When we complained to them they just laughed and said and brushed us off. 2 police officers eatting there told them the food was bad so they went in the back and got new stuff. It seemed like they only cared when the cops told them it was bad. If they keep this up it is a matter of time before someone gets food posioning. read more

I don't understand the negativity in these reviews, except to say look at the dates. I have eaten at many Chinese buffets, and I'm usually a cynic about them until proven otherwise based on my experience. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sushi, the hibachi experience, and the variety of foods available. The restaurant did not strike as poorly maintained, as some reviews suggested. The staff was very friendly and extremely attentive, especially for a buffet. If I was on my way through Stevens Point again, I wouldn't hesitate to stop in. read more

Food was okay. But the server would not stop talking and was very annoying. I think she gave me a brain aneurysm

This place was great and the staff was awesome! Some of the dessert had been out a little too long, thus the reason for 4 stars, but the fresh donuts that the waitress brought around made up for it! Many of the dishes were freshly cooked also! read more

This is probably a place that i will not go to in the future. It wasn' t that great and there was no food. The last time my family was going to eat there the wasn't any food on the buffet table. Thos is the reason i gave it a one star. read more

"Fear Factor Buffet" would be a more appropriate name for this restaurant. We decided to stop here for dinner after running some errands and were not only disappointed, but also disgusted. We walk in and were greeted by a hostess wearing dirty, worn-out sweatpants and a t shirt with a pink skull on it. We were shown to a booth where the seat had tears and was broken. We go to get some food, and it was clear that the majority of it had been sitting out all day. The different "chicken" dishes were tough, dried out pieces of breading marinated in whatever sauces they found in the back, and the rice was so dry you could barely scrape any off of what was dried onto the pan. If anything, I guess they get some creativity points for frying a rolled up wonton wrap and calling it a Dragon Tail. read more

Its a pretty gross buffet if you ask me. The food is never fresh no matter what time you go in, and its super bland and gives you a tummy ache. Also the carpeted floor looks like they held NASCAR races with the amount of filth caked on there. 80% of the booths are wobbly with ripped seats, and the workers don't dress appropriately at all. Given it a few tries over the years every time they claim to have "new owners" but this time I won't be back. read more

I see so many crappy reviews about this place and never understand why. They have a wide array of food options on their buffet. They also offer sushi and hibachi and bottomless soda (all of this comes with the price of the buffet). The food isn't the best I've ever had, but it is still really good. Their egg rolls are really good. Plus, the staff is always super friendly. read more

By far the worst Asian buffet I've ever been to. I should've taken the cue of the 8 guys that left shortly after I got there, after they demanded and received a refund. 80% of the buffet trays were empty (got here at 8:00). The ones that did have food looked like it had been there since last week. I had to search multiple stacks of plates for one that was reasonably clean. Only thing edible was the coconut chicken and hot & sour soup (once I punched through the 1/2" skin on the top of it). I'm expecting to spend most the night visiting the bathroom of my hotel room. I should've heeded the few reviews that said to stay away from this place...stay far away. Dirty in there too. read more

The worst buffet I have ever experienced. I would not feed my dog this stuff. Tasteless slop, old in the trays, several tables not cleaned off. Employee children running about. Employee's yelling at one another. This place is just gross. I would never recommend anyone eat here. read more

Talk about nasty!!! Started off the visit with the host/cashier finishing up eating and wiping off his face as we paid for our meal. We also had to pay for the meal before we ate, I now assume this is because others have left without paying, probably because the food was so terrible. He then proceeded to take us to our table through a maze of un-bussed tables. There were 5 tables un-bussed when we sat down to eat and they were still left uncleaned by the time we left 25 minutes later. We counted a total of 12 tables un-bussed by the time we left. As for the food, poor at best. My wife chose some sort of breaded shrimp from the buffet only to find out that it wasn't de-vained and still had the head and shell on underneath the breading. Needless to say she didn't eat any of it. All of the entrees I sampled were bland and greasy. The only thing even edible was the crab rangoon. I also noticed that one of the steam tables had fresh strawberries placed right next to hot food entrees. And in a futile attempt to keep them cold, they had ice cubes placed underneath them. Not the best idea, in my opinion, to keep fresh fruit cold. From what I saw from the front of the establishment I could only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Will never visit again!! If I could give no stars for this review, I would. read more

I'm not one to write reviews typically, but this one can't go without being heard. My fiancé and I walked in, and right away I noted the staff and family yelling in the background. There was cardboard covering the window, where a curtain had broken. Everywhere I looked appeared to be dirty. As the staff member took us to our table, my feet sunk into a sticky carpet, which looked like it had not been vacuumed in days. Already disgusted, we got our first plate of food. Maybe 3 options were labeled with what they were. The only good thing I can say, is the food was at least warm. However, the bread was rock hard, flies were present (understandably hard to avoid, I know), and the cutlery was not cleaned well at all. I couldn't even tell you if any of the food tasted any good, because I was too busy thinking about all the disgusting things I saw. This isn't our first visit, and while, I haven't ever been all that impressed, we always gave it another chance. This will be, however, my last visit after such an experience. read more
