They get 5 stars for customer service. I was staying at the Holiday Inn Convention Center, which is almost next door to this strip of businesses. I had been at the hotel for 3 nights in some intensive training and was spending the 4th night to relax before my drive back home. I love Asian and was super tired so this place was close. It would have been a nice walk if it wasn't cold and rainy. I arrived and asked to see a menu. I saw happy family on the dinner specials area and asked if I could get it with noodles instead of rice, which I could for $3 more. That would be $14.99+$3 for the entree'. The noodles with vegetables were packed up in a to go container separate from the Happy family entree'. The sauce was tasty but average. I got plenty of vegetables and meats and noodles-enough for 3 meals for me. The spring rolls were small and rather mushy for my liking. They tasted good, just mushy inside. When I put in my order I received it in about 5 minutes but they had forgot the spring rolls and had to go back to the kitchen to get them. I asked for napkins and as fork which they accommodated and there in a paper plate too. I wouldn't hesitate to go back here if I wanted to get something quick for my hotel room.

Everything was amazing- hot, and flavorful. Peek my handsome husband too.

I would hands down recommend this restaurant. It was quite and quaint- but our server was very attentive. I ordered a lot of food because we were traveling and wanted left overs. All the food had great flavor, was hot, and were generous portions for a low cost. Left happy and still talking about the restaurant the next day- you must try if you're traveling or live near !

Had the coconut shrimp. It was a huge serving for the money. It came with a side if white boiled rice and was served on a bed of crispy fried noodles with broccoli that was cooked perfectly. I was just in town on business for the night but if I am ever back this way I would consider eating here again.

Walnut Shrimp. Huge shrimp. Good portion for value.

Went to Chef Chu's for dinner. We have gone before for the lunch buffet, which was a good variety and value. Dinner is a bit pricey. $80 with tip for a meal for four and 2 appetizers (crab rangoon and pot stickers). The food was fresh, hot and a little too spicy for some. The waitress didn't ask about how much spice and we didn't think to tell her when we ordered, but will next time. The food came out in a timely manner. The restaurant owners are very pleasant. We have a Chinese student living with us and this is his go-to Chinese restaurant in the area and says most of the Chinese in the area prefer Chef Chu's. They also have a special Chinese menu, written in Chinese as well.

Im only rating 1 because today I ordered Sweet and sour shrimp. It was over cooked. The crab ragoon was hard. Not worth $20 for sure.

Nice little Chinese lace with big variety of soups and entrees. Clean and warm on a cold winter day. They also have lunch menu and buffet.

(So I can only speak on my takeout experience and not service from dining in) Being in a small town in Wisconsin I definitely didn't have high expectations at all for Asian food so I was pleasantly surprised by both orders. I had placed both orders online for pickup and my food was ready both times by the time I got to the restaurant. I ordered the egg drop soup, the lettuce with fresh garlic, and one order of yellowtail sashimi for my first order; I ordered the cabbage with red chili pepper, sole fillet with mustard green, and spicy sour soup for my second order. I honestly thought the flavors were all pretty close to authentic. One thing to note about the cabbage is that while there were peppers in it, I thought the dish overall tasted more salty from the soy sauce than provide any hint of spice. Additionally, while they did provide hefty cuts of sashimi, it's definitely not the best in terms of quality/freshness but will still satisfy a sushi/fish craving. Aside from being surprised by the overall flavors of everything I tried, I was also pleasantly surprised by the prices. My first order came out to ~$25 and my second order came out to ~$35, whereas both orders would probably run up to $40+ back in Austin. Overall I'm super pleased with Bamboo House and it definitely hit the spot for my Asian comfort food craving while visiting Wisconsin
