They are shady they will overcharge you and 9 times out of 10 the food is cold and unsanitary.

I've driven past this restaurant sooo many times. This past weekend was the day we walked through…read moretheir door. From the moment you walk in, the bar sets the tone--dark wood, warm lighting, friendly bartenders who make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. Seriously, if I lived in Stevens Point, their bar would be my go-to day drinking hangout. I will note that they make a well made cocktail from their drink menu. Further, their brandy old fashioneds are perfect, and are sizeable. To start, the goat cheese bruschetta is a must‑order. Creamy, tangy goat cheese paired with perfectly toasted bread and a nice garlic topping. I don't even like goat cheese but, there were plenty good. For dinner, Michelle's has all the supper club with the surf and turf classics. The beer‑battered walleye is exactly what you'd hope for: crisp, flavorful, and somehow not greasy at all. If fish isn't your pick, the planked salmon with a sweet pecan topping to provide contrasting flavours and textures. All in all, Michelle's is everything you want from a Wisconsin supper club: welcoming vibes, great cocktails, knockout comfort food, and that timeless charm that keeps you coming back. They do lose a start because of service...it was so slow, and I don't quite understand why because there were a number of empty tables. The other curiosity that I would mention is that when we played the leftover salmon we left it on the plank. They asked for the plank bank to reuse? They're only good for a couple uses tops before the oils are gone...and that is not entirely sanitary...but that is just me perhaps. If you're in Stevens Point, hit this place up. It's worth it.

We had our 7 month old daughter who they informed us upon arrival should have been included as a 6th person. We have never had this happen at a resteraunt and the hostess made it seem like a major inconvenience to them & almost did not seat us. The food was great, but we felt like we were walking on eggshells the whole experience.

We tried the Friday night offerings. From the outside, you have a rather sterile, commercial building. The dining rooms don't offer much more in ambience. However, the huge bar area is an awesome throwback to the 1970's. We started at the bar. Quick service. Reasonably priced drinks. The old fashioned wasn't anything to write home about. We were seated and met our waitress. She was very nice and was attentive to us throughout our visit. She and the bartender truly helped the overall rating (3.5 if Yelp trusted reviewers) with half stars. Everyone in our party tried the buffet. Everyone found something to their liking. Overall, it offered a nice-sized and well kept salad bar. There was clam chowder for soup. It was just okay. On the main buffet, the walleye, butterflied shrimp and sliced steak were good. Staff did a great job keeping the food filled. The chicken cordon blue was a strange casserole and according to a dining partner, the ribs were okay. Two sheet cakes served as dessert. Overall, not a bad place but not great. Other than the bar area, it lacks your traditional supper club vibe. Would I try it again? Sometime; just not soon. There are too many supper clubs available to settle for "good".
