This is long, but worth the read..... I needed a place to repair my iPhone so I sent messages/emails out to multiple businesses in the middle if the night and within 10 minutes someone from Gadget Tech replied with the answers to my questions, a price quote, their business hours and estimated cost of repair! Went to Gadget Tech the next day (no appt needed, they told me to come in at my convenience!), dropped off my phone, each tech working greeted me, listened to my phone issue, offered a solution in words I understood and told me when my phone would be ready! Sweet! Got a call from one of the techs letting me know the initial repair was successful but that there was another issue and explained a possible solution but wanted my go ahead before doing it, I gave the ok, the tech called me back in less than an hour and told me it was fixed and ready!! Today, received a thorough explanation of the uselessness of Gadget Tech's 6 month warranty. My phone has been giving me problems since it's repair, however it wasn't significant enough for me to take it in for service. This afternoon my phone dropped, but the screen wasn't cracked. The first time I came here a year ago for water damage, they did a great job. They were friendly, listened and fixed my water damage phone. I am now giving it a 1 star after my last two visits, which were experiences with a different worker that was different than my first experience. One was for a cracked screen, where the worker there was rude and really wasnt listening when I was trying explain what happened and when I asked another question he didnt even respond or wasnt listening. I knew the repair would be easy and had it repaired, which came out good. The third and last time I went was for another water repair, which I felt comfortable going to them since they did a great a year prior for a water damaged phone. Unfortunately, i got the same worker from my second experience and it was obvious he didnt want to even try to work on a water damage phone. He straight up told me the repair isnt warranted, which I understand, but he can replace the screen, but the phone may not work still and they suggest just buying a new phone. I told him i was here a year ago and they repaired a water damaged phone. He said yes but its not warranted and we cant guarantee we can fix it, which i understand incase the phone is very damage, which mine may not be since it was in shallow water for only a few seconds. I then tried to tell him my phone had a prior issue with ear speaker not working well before the water damage so I would like to have the replaced as well. He responded by saying its was probably damaged from the water, in which i responded, no you werent listening, it wasnt working before well before water damage and Im asking to have that replace or repaired as well. He said if the phone overall can be repaired from water damage we can do it and the prices of each part that can potentially be repaired adds up and water repair isnt one price alone, which I said I know and thats no problem. I guess he was trying to make me not want to go forward due to a price issue. At this point I greatly felt he just either didnt want work at all, or even try to work on a water damaged phone or doesnt know how. He then said he could quickly diagnose right there right now. I had to quickly ask him if there was a charge for that before he did anything and he said no. It looked like he just laid the phone on the table or plugged in a charger to the phone and 10 seconds later said "yup, its not repairable". I just took my phone and said I will just take my business somewhere else and he said okay and seemed to be okay with a customer saying that. I wouldnt go here if you need something that is more than just a cracked screen replacement. For the owners of this place, this incident happened on Feb. 26 around 9:30 am. I was here Sunday to repair a phone I had cracked, it needed a new screen and LCD the owner Logan who I talked to on the phone prior to coming in said to come in and he would take care of it. On there yelp it says 15-30 min it would be taken care of. I got there and dropped it off at 6pm he said give me an hour... at that point I told him really an hour? He said he had 4-5 phone ahead of mine. Fine I left and told him I would come back before they close i got there at 730pm. THey close at 8pm. He said give me 15 more min they are almost done. Before I walked out I paid the owner 120$. He handed me the receipt and marked a 6 month warranty on it, he did not explain what it covered and did not advise me of a 2 year warranty that I could purchase for 39.99. After I paid I didn't get my phone back until 830! I waited in the parking lot for an hour! The kid not the owner fixed my phone in 15 min and ran it out to me. I was upset but at that point happy with my results so I didn't say anything about having to wait 2 1/2 hours for my phone. Today my phone fell on my carpet and cracked the screen again! I called to find out how the 6 mth warranty works and what it covers to try and come in to fix it. The owner advised me that the warranty only covers manufacture problems not physical damage. He then informed me if I had purchased the two year warranty I can come in and fix it. I told him I was there Sunday and I was not told about the two year warranty, he told me that there is sign on the front desk that tells you about it. I said I didn't go in there looking around the shop I dropped off my stuff paid and waited for my phone and when I paid I was not informed about the warranty. I asked him if he was working Sunday he says no. But the fact that u are the owner of the shop and are lying to me about not being there and blaming your employees for not informing me about the warranty is unprofessional. The owner took my phone on Sunday and was the one telling me to wait and hour for it! So when I called the owner told me it is my fault I broke the phone, yes I know I broke my phone why do u think I would be calling your place???? and then he says he is taking a hit in discounting me to fix it for 80$ and that is u taking a hit??? The owner lied, wouldn't work with me and allow me to buy the 2 year warranty after the fact, knowing he did not inform me about it and that is his fault and wants to charge me an extra 80$ as a discount to fix it??! You have to be kidding me! He is a liar he is unprofessional and I will never return. And I hope you all read this and read the little sign in his little shop that says purchase the warranty because if they don't tell you, your are sh** out of luck! And after I tell him thank you for all your help(sarcastically) I will be leaving a review on yelp about it I got this very unprofessional text message! How dare you tell your employee to play dumb and act like I bought the warrant Sunday! DO NOT COME HERE. This business is so terrible in all aspects that Yelp should allow reviewers to leave negative stars. THEY actually told me to bring in my water damaged laptop for service when I asked for price estimate, and so I did. They ran the water solution and everything was fine. They then informed me the only remaining problem was the keyboard. Ensured me with a new keyboard, my computer would be fixed. Authorized them to fix the keyboard, just to have them call a few days later and charge me to fix the speakers. Promised that was all. Returned my laptop with a warranty and guarantee that it was working perfectly and powering on, just to take it home to NOT have it even charge. Took it back the next day, and asked them to fix it for REAL. They keep my laptop for over a month with ZERO updates. I would call in for updates: one time their excuse was (oh we found out whats wrong, and we ordered the part so just waiting on that to fix it) ----second time I called, their excuse was (delivery people broke the piece because they mishandled the package.) Almost a month later they called me and said, oh we finally figured out what is wrong with your computer...you need a new MOTHERBOARD. (Firstly, you already informed me twice, that you knew what was wrong, so why call me to tell me you "Finally" found out what's wrong?) (Secondly, how did you not figure out the motherboard was fried the first time around?) Then they go, it will cost $400 plus for a new board, "Want us to order you one?"(obviously NO). I went in and asked for a refund, because they made me invest money into my laptop on false information. And they refuse to give me a refund. Asked them if this happened a lot at their store and they go NO. Ask them to explain how something like this could have been over looked and they go OH the guy who worked on your laptop no longer works here. Ask them to contact him for me so I can have an explanation at least, and they said that he "conveniently" left on bad terms so that was not possible. Then I ask them who will be responsible for refunding me or fixing my computer, and they go "Not Us." (Even though they returned it to me with a warranty). Told them they should be held responsible for it because it is their fault my computer was returned faulty. And the guy (TOM) goes "It's actually your fault for breaking it in the first place"... Trust me, avoid this place at all costs!!!! I took my iPad mini here to get the glass fixed. They take it and then tell me to leave it with them for a couple days and come back and they will have it fixed. I complied and come back days later and was given back a DIFFERENT iPad mini than the one I original gave them. The iPad I received was clearly someone else's as it was a different model and was iCloud locked to that persons account. The owner Luke tells me they must have given my iPad away to someone else by mistake!! He claimed he was gonna look into it but never did! I dropped off my iphone xr to get the FRONT GLASS replaced , When i picked it up i notice that the FRONT GLASS was still cracked and the BACK GLASS had been replaced instead and had a tiny NOTICEABLE chipped pieced around the camera .. i had to pay extra to replace FRONT AND BACK GLASS when i finally activated it i noticed that they forgot to clean the lenses from the inside , that made pictures come out blurry and video calls looked like $&@/ , the mic didnt work on speaker mode , the trim around the GLASS has screw driver MARKS very very poor workmanship. I used it about three weeks until one day it turned off on me when i was in a call , I tried turning it back on and the apple logo appears for a second then it disappears it does this until battery drains .. I had to pay $300.00 to at&t because a WORKING device wasnt returned to them and i had to pay extra for a screen that didnt have to be replaced (REAR) $99.00 was to good to be true ..i ended up paying $ 286.00 and i ALMOST FORGOT (TOUCH SCREEN) SUCKS ibet OBAMA Phones have better touch screen... read more

I'm not really sure how I feel about this place. I would agree that they aren't the friendliest guys but they weren't rude by any means. Easy location, in and out quickly, and my screen was fixed. I have no idea the realm of which screens cost but it feels super overpriced. $79.95 to replace my glass with their 'premium' thicker glass, which is closest to Apple. Also, when I play one of my game apps there are a few light spots from the side of the screen. I know for sure those were not there before! However, I'm pretty sure if I take it back they are going to tell me that I'm out of luck because they tried to sell me an additional warranty plan, which I didn't purchase. I may try to go back and ask why there is light coming in from the sides but overall it went well and my screen has is fixed! read more

Unfortunately I didn't get the same experience. $270 Took two phones in one was cracked the other a line thru the screen. Unfortunately the first one still isn't working and they could care less. Dishonest to say the least. They advertise iphone water damage repair. I took my iphone that was damaged after being dropped in water. I asked do you repair water damage? They answer: Yes we do. I say ok, great, here is my phone. They say that'll be $35 dollars, me: for what? Don't you have to fix it first? Them: no you pay in advance. Me: That's odd, but hey, $35 dollars to fix water damage is a good deal. 3 days later they call and say the phone isn't working and that their water damage "treatment" didnt work! So pretty much sounds like a scam to collect $35 per person in advance with no guarantee that their service will work. In fact, I'd argue that their service is guaranteed NOT to work and thats why they charge in advance. Avoid this place. read more
