Ordered a carry out a couple of weeks ago for my daughter and I. Both meals were delicious! I had the sweet and sour chicken and my daughter had the almond boneless chicken. Even though the meals were lunch portions there was enough for lunch the next day. We are going back for my daughter's birthday. read more

Some days the food here is delicious and in point. Recently it has not been as much. I recently had almond chicken and it was so greasy that the breading was mushy. This time around my eggroll was good, but the previous order it wasn't. They really need to be more consistent with their quality. If they paid more attention and maybe drain some grease off, they'd get a 5 star. read more

It was decent but nothing really stood out. It wasn't a bad meal by any means but the flavor profiles were a little on the bland side. We tried the chicken Lo mein and some fried rice. Service was very friendly. We got a carry out order but may try them again in the venue next time read more

Placed an order through the drive-through. This is the first time ordering from New China King since the new ownership. The order was good and prompt. I will try it again read more

As long time residents of Howell we can attest to the local Chinese food options. New China Kind certainly doesn't disappoint! The food is always delicious and the portions for the price are amazing! My wife and I usually will split a combo meal plus something extra This last time we had the dumplings and they were delicious! We've only done take out but they are always very friendly and will run the food to you if needed. A+ read more

Had them again but this time their Szechuan Beef with Beef Fried Rice and a side of BBQ Pork Friend Rice - everything was awesome and the portions were huge. Will make this a regular stop going forward. --------- Ordered and paid online, then picked up our dinner through the drive thru. Very easy process with zero issues - well done! This was the first time we have been back here in many years. We heard about new management and an improved menu from several people, so we gave it a shot. We were blown away with the quality, the freshness and the portion sizes. OMG! The almond chicken was awesome - none of that brown gravy nonsense either (it was relatively clear instead, like it should be). The chicken fried rice was on point with a lot of veggies and chicken pieces inside. The fried pork dumplings were fantastic as well. No issues here! My wife's entree was Chop Suey, which was super dense with goodies and way too much. Very good too! My only negative was the Won Ton soup. It had a ton of broth and the dumplings were just a little too doughy for my tastes. We will definitely come back here now that we know it's legit again. You should too! read more

The new owners definitely have upped the quality of the food here. Beats all other local Chinese places hands down. Good portions and they don't skimp on the meat they put in the dishes. Also putting in real containers vs styrofoam helps read more

We tried New China King for the first time and we were very pleased. We shared the Almond chicken and the Sweet and sour chicken lunch meals. They each came with fried rice and an egg roll. Everything was very delicious and we will most certainly be returning soon. Definitely a 5* meal. The lady at the carryout window was very friendly and kind. Great experience all around. read more

I love this Chinese food. I'm pescatarian so I especially love their shrimp and tofu options. Been here many times and it is always delicious read more

Our meal of a dinner portion of sesame chicken with the upgraded shrimp fried rice and an additional egg role was excellent as usual. The portion was large and there was a small amount of chicken and rice left for a lunch the next day. On this visit I walked in and ordered a carry out order. The food was ready in 35 minutes. When dining in, the food is brought to the table in the carry out container. We don't mind that as we almost always bring some home, so its already good to go. We do get disposable plates and real flatware. We don't mind that either. We always have a positive dining experience. A great family run business. read more

Was craving Chinese food last night, so I turned to Yelp as I did not want to go very far and I did not feel like going in to a restaurant, so it was take out. Ordered 2 dinner combos: General Tso's Chicken and Mongolian Beef. Both combos came with fried rice and an egg roll. I also ordered hot & sour soup. The exterior of the building was in need of some TLC - weeds galore and the parking lot had many potholes. Fortunately, they had a drive thru window for the food pick up so I did not have to go in - bonus! Well, the food was disappointing at best. Egg rolls were over done and chewy and were not much on the palette pleasing side either. The fried rice was nothing I had ever experienced before - it was just steamed rice mixed with soy sauce. Ugh! The Mongolian Beef was more shreds of onion than anything else and because of that, the flavor was quite bland. The General Tso's Chicken and Hot & Sour Soup were the only standouts in the meal. Sadly, a mediocre meal at best. read more

Our absolute favorite chinese restaurant in Howell! Far beyond all others in the area. The staff is friendly and they have a convenient drive up window! We love their food. We frequently get chicken with broccoli, chicken lo mein, and general tso chicken and all are fabulous! read more

Late Easter Sunday, around 9:30pm, with no other restaurants open, we saw that New China King had lights on with people inside eating. We went inside, and I asked if they were still serving food. The manager told me that they closed at 9, but that they would be happy to make food for carry out. In under 10 minutes we had two amazing meals to carry out! Thank you New China King. Your service is top notch! Will definitely recommend for both food and service! read more

We hadn't ate here in awhile, and this was the first time since they have new owners. Everything was excellent. The food was a nice upgrade from before. The General Tso's chicken was as good as it gets and the crab cheese and egg roll were a big improvement. Now China King will now be back in our regular rotation of restaurants. read more

New owners same great food. In transition but I have great hopes for them! Hopefully they will brighten up the outside. Almond Chicken still awesome. read more

This just shows how out of touch people are. I ordered my food, sweet and sour chicken, and 2 apps because I was sharing with a friend.potstickers and beef on a stick. I called and ordered from the menu I got from their website. According to their website my order should have been around 20. 8 for the chicken and 6 for each of the apps. $38! Bullshit. The lady said that's not even our menu we just put it up and they haven't touched it years. This is their problem. False advertising. Avoid this place they were incredibly rude to boot! read more
