Delivery is a crap shoot. When you use a place like this with a delivery service, another layer of stupid gets thrown into what should be a simple transaction. I pay for food. I get the food delivered. I eat. But when the restaurant gets it wrong, I can't just call the restaurant and ask them to make it over and send it along. I can't even call and say I'll drive all the way in town to pick up a correctly made order. No. I have to call the delivery service and negotiate with them over what to do about it. My service wouldn't order a replacement and have it delivered on their dime because it's not their fault and it costs them money to engage a driver who would not get a tip. They will only refund the money on the portion of the order that is wrong. In this case, $20 of a $65 order, not counting the service fees and tip AND I go without dinner. All because this restaurant couldn't read the four important words on the order that made it edible to me. After waiting for 40 minutes, I had no food and neither the restaurant or delivery service can do anything about the simple error by someone who didn't pay attention to their job. When I'm busy, I'll pick around the dish just to get something out of it but this was slathered in the stuff I cannot eat, so it had to be trashed. It did not look appetizing, like it was the last of a batch they made earlier today and wanted to get rid of it and hoped no one would notice. The rest of the order did not sit well with the rest of the party. For what we paid, it was mediocre - tasteless and slimy. Even the fortune cookies were stale. This restaurant was walking distance from our hotel. Although the reviews aren't the best, this place was amazing!!!----- at least to me. Although the inside of the restaurant isn't super fancy the food speaks for itself. Great chinese at a great price. I got the garlic beef with fried rice and an egg roll and it was so good! I don't expect jaw dropping food for $7. It was worth the price great portions, would go again. read more

Average (at best) Chinese food. Had a craving yesterday and the order wasn't exactly satisfying, just ok. Anyone that has been inside the restaurant can easily see this place looks a bit rundown. Don't be afraid! Haha! Fried Veggie dumplings as an appetizer, really good. Egg drop soup good, hot and sour soup not great. Beef lo mein was also ok, needed more flavor and the meat (obviously) was not of high quality. Moo goo gai pan was also just ok. The chicken was mushy and had a strange texture. Flavor also just ok. Needed salt or a lot of soy sauce. We ordered two combination platters and requested veggie rice for both. One of the platters had pork fried rice. They also would not substitute a veggie eggroll for the pork eggroll so we got the soup instead. $30 with tax and tip. Maybe I'll eat here again, maybe not. We ordered this through door dash while staying at a hotel on a road trip. We did not check yelp reviews as we had a short time to order but the door dash reviews gave it a 4.6 out of 5 with 406 reviews so we went with that. Glad we did. The food arrived hot and delicious. Seems they listened to the lack of flavor complaint cuz my garlic chicken was very good. The pork fried rice was also very good and so was the boneless spare ribs. I loved the mushrooms in garlic sauce!!! I am a mushroom lover, they were mushrooms cut in half with some carrots in the garlic sauce. TONS OF MUSHROOMS :) which I loved! The veggie dumplings skins were yummy but the inside filling was heavy on a ginger/ onion flavor which was a little weird. I wish there was some cabbage/ carrots/ or tofu in them. Placed an order for pick up for our office. Several meals were ordered. There was an accident and we were later than expected picking it up. Instead of the food being simply cold, it was overcooked. The pu pu platter was inedible. The meat in all the dishes was overcooked to where it was like leather. Our boss did not receive the rice that accompanied his meal. Called New 2nd Wok to see if they had suggestions to address dissatisfaction. Restaurant was argumentative and kept repeating we picked up too long after order. So, apparently they keep cooking the food UNTIL you arrive. Disappointing experience. Not some place to recommend. read more

I would probably refrain from coming here. I've previously ordered from 2nd Wok during normal business hours. Fried chicken wings with garlic sauce and another order with fries. The chicken itself seemed to be at least a day or two old just re-fried. It was disgusting. The fries were stale as well. I wouldn't order from here I don't know how the cleanliness grading is but by far it was terrible. read more

Very convenient take out place near me. The menu is definitely Americanized but good for a quick fix. Not a super inviting atmosphere. I tried them primarily for the Thai selection and found the pad thai okay and I was disappointed in my first try at Pineapple Fried Rice ... it just wasn't that good or flavorful. I have tried other lunch specials on the menu and they were okay (but to be fair, I am never impressed by Chinese restaurant lunch menus). I really need to stop ordering the bargain lunches. For Thai, I think I will need to go to an actual Thai restaurant. All in all ... 2nd Wok is Chinese fast food. Filling and quick but no culinary masterpiece and adequate for the occasional takeout / delivery occasion. Pricing is very reasonable. read more

Ordering online was super easy by using the BeyondMenu website. It's $1.50 for delivery and boy do they deliver fast. From the moment I placed my order to getting a call from the delivery guy saying he was downstairs, a mere 15 minutes had gone by. Food was piping hot and delicious. The combination meals are a great deal and reasonably priced. The crab rangoon could have been crispier (they seemed a bit chewy/soggy) but the filling was tasty. They also gave us tons of sauces (duck, soy, mustard, and dipping sauce for the crab rangoon) and I loooove saucin' up my Chinese food. read more

This is the few places that serves Bourbon chicken AND delivers! This place is a typical Chinese restaurant. They have lots of people working and the inside can be a little more desirable. If you're picking up to go or having it delivered, expect your food to come out in 10-15 mins even if you order 1 of everything...ok ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration but you get what I'm saying. Food is very bland and things like vegetable fried rice barely have any vegetables in it. You may see a carrot or pea here and there but it's basically just yellow looking rice with no taste. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken before and it tasted very greasy and not very flavorful, just like a lot of batter and the chicken didn't taste savory either. I placed my order online requesting delivery at 5:00pm as I was not going to be at the delivery address until then. They delivered my order at 4:00pm a whole hour before my requested time. When I called them to complain all they offered was an "I'm Sorry". So I got to eat COLD Chinese food when I should not have had to. In my opinion they should have remade the order and delivered it when it was supposed to be delivered. I was so excited to discover the Beyond the Menu app that let me order online for delivery (!!) from 2nd St Wok. Used it twice now, both times delivery was fast, food was hot and delicious. Prices are very reasonable for the volume served. Cannot recommend going into the restaurant itself. Stick with delivery. read more

I was in Harrisburg and stopped here for lunch on May 5. The food was amazing! The service was fast and friendly. I came back again for lunch before heading back home. Absolutely awful! I ordered sweet and sour pork and was delivered without sweet and sour sauce. I called back politely and asked for them to being some. I waited over 30 min and called again. I asked if they sent someone, they said yes. That was over an hour ago. mistakes happen, but being blatantly lied to is unacceptable! Like we always do, we ordered Chinese food from work. We ordered a general tso chicken with no veggies and white rice on the side. When the order came it was the normal General tso chicken with rice and broccoli. We were also short an Egg Roll. I called to get the order corrected. The guy that answered the phone said we should just pick the broccoli off and eat it. He argued that all egg roles were there also. I have never had a company that knew they messed up the order insist on eating something that was not ordered or rectify the situation by bringing the correct food that was ordered. Needless to say the guy was a jerk and because of this we will never order from there again. Which is a shame because it is one of the better tasting Chinese food establishments. I'd recommend this place to NO ONE just because of the poor attitude of the staff. read more

Called in for a pick up order, I ordered beef sticks, rice , broccoli and sesame chicken. Sent my boyfriend to pick it up, when he got home I opened up the food and I received fried rice and shrimp. I called the store to see if they can deliver me my correct order. The lady on the phone kept telling me that she didn't know I received the the shrimp rice and how I need to come and pay the difference. It took me like 2 minutes to explain to her that I dont want the shrimp, I cant eat shrimp. She asked me for an address and that someone will deliver me my rice but she wanted the shrimp rice back ( for what idk , i hope she doesn't resell it.. ) in the end she said the wait for my rice to be delivered was an hour or more. I ended up going back to pick it up and she made sure I gave back the shrimp rice. When I ate the broccoli, it was soggy and had a gross flavor of old food or oil. Tasted like they don't clean their pans. The beef sticks were dry cold and burnt. Tasted like they were reheated or old. Never going back here !!! read more

Dumplings are terrible... Teriyaki chicken is ok. Garlic sauce and Szechwan sauce are good though. I'd order again. Pricey for delivery though, so I'd suggest picking it up. read more

Unfortunate that I have to rate this place 2 stars. Food is good. They are relatively prompt. The reason they are getting two stars is their customer service. My wife and I ordered delivery and chose a large order of General Tso's chicken and Szechuan beef. Each come with a side of white rice. They will serve it with noodles if asked for an extra charge. We opted to get one of each. When they delivered, both sides were noodles so we didn't get what we wanted, and we got charged extra. When we called to make them aware, they did not care very much. I was told that the person who took my order said I specifically said I wanted two sides of noodles. Question...why would I call and lie about my order? This may seem minuscule, but in my mind, a place who cares for their customers would fix their mistakes (especially considering we live 3 minutes away, and the total trip to correct their mistake would've taken 10 minutes). Short story-if they get your order wrong, they won't care at all or do anything about it. So if you don't care about accuracy, you won't mind this place. read more
