I love this store. It is clean and spacious and the collegiate staff is not just a group angry students passing time. Refreshingly, they are pleasant and helpful. Be forewarned however, they do not actually sell wolves here. read more

The textbook store is horrible. I have ordered books here for years, only to be disappointed. They are never ready on time, or people who order books after I do get them, and I end up never getting my book. It seems like the earlier you order the more chance you have of not getting the book. The staff is rude and unhelpful. It's strange to me to act this way when we as students are trying to support the University. This is my final straw with the bookstore. I will never support them again. Wish I could give 0 stars, but I'm partially to blame by giving chance after chance. read more

We are headed to a Wolf Pack football game this season and my wife and were both seeking some updated fan apparel. We started here because they usually have some great items that can be school bookstore specific. Overall though, their selection seemed lacking. I was used to a much larger range of products and instead felt there was a decent variety within only a few styles. A few sweatshirts, a few t-shirts, and few polos and shorts and then color/style options within that. They didn't have a large amount of fitted hats. I don't know if its due to the season, back to school, whatever the case but they also didn't have much inventory period. My wife found a cute cardigan for a reasonable price but that sadly, was the only purchase we made. Staff were nice but VERY new. When I asked for a fitting room they weren't sure how to get the key and sign off on the use sheet. Then we asked to put the cardigan on hold for a bit and they weren't sure how to hold something. They figured it out and the sweater was waiting at the counter when my wife returned to purchase it less than an hour later, but we didn't have high hopes initially. Also, they don't have a lot of small game time extras like face stickers, license plate frames, etc. I also wanted more alumni focused gear which I didn't find there but found at a competitor. read more

You can get Wolf Pack wear all over Reno. I've seen tee shirts in CVS and Walmart for example and I've purchased some at both Costco and Sheeles. However the good gear, the really good gear you can only find in the Nevada Wolf Shop. You know, the not so generic Nevada Wolf Pack shirts you see everywhere else. They've got hoodies too, but ever since it became legal to shoot and kill people in hoodies in Florida, I've been afraid it'll catch on the other states, so I don't wear them anymore. However, if you're willing to take a chance, they do look awful warm. Vesta and I go to UNR a lot, because it's one of our favorite places to shoot. We do a lot of engagement shoots there and we've done formal photos after a couple of wedding there as well. And after our work there is finished, if the store is open, we go there and I always wind up buying a tee shirt. Can't help it, I'm a Wolf Pack fan, so is Vesta. And I'd like to give the store five big stars, but I gotta take one away cuz of the prices. They are high. read more

Every time we visit a new town, we take our daughters on a visit to the local college and buy a magnet. It's become a fun family tradition. So, when we visited Reno during the summer, we visited University of Nevada. The campus was pretty, but they were doing a lot of construction so I'm anxious to see the additions to the outside of the campus. The Wolf Shop is two stories, but it's a bit small for a college bookstore. You can still purchase all of the basic items: shirts, sweaters, make up, candy and school supplies, but there was not a lot of variety. The cashier was very friendly and asked us where we were from and signed us up for their emails in order to save 15%. :) read more

This year Bookstore had a promotion called "Touchdown Tuesdays", on Tuesday after Wolf Pack game they had a 5% discount for each Wolf Pack's touchdown, I score a shirt for 35% off! Did I mention that you don't pay taxes and students get very good discounts on Apple products, I got my Mac for about $150 less than I would get at Apple. read more

GO WOLFPACK!!! Ok I am a fair-weather fan of sorts because I don't live in Reno or Northern Nevada for that matter which makes up a majority of this 140 year old institution (the University, not the store). I like to support them though when I am in town because who doesn't love blue and silver? Calm down fans of other teams flying the same colors! The store is nestled in the Student Union Building which by the looks of things was either recently remodeled or built from the ground up. It wasn't hard to find metered parking adjacent to the building nor taking a short brisk walk to the front doors of this impressive building. To the left of the Student Union entrance is the Wolf Shop brimming with blue and silver wares. I knew what I wanted but wasn't too sure on the design. Did I want Nevada or Wolf Pack across my chest, hoodie or no hoodie, who could choose? I finally settled on a 3XL Wolf Pack Blue Pullover Hoodie with Nevada on my left arm running downward accented with silver in all the right places and for a reasonable price in my mind ($54.95). The hoodie enveloped me in comfort and according to my dad, made me look slimmer so this miracle product was going home with me! Almost forgot to mention the staff. They were nice once I actually interacted with them. Before said interaction, they were on high alert it seemed with all eyes on me. I knew it wasn't my looks because that ship has sailed so it had to be their suspicions of me being a shoplifter. Ok. Yeah. Thanks but I'll take the stylin' over the profilin'. read more

Recently I used the Wolf Shop to aid me with renewing my passport. Wow was the service great, the people were friendly, helpful, informed and went through the trouble to check my application. When I needed a expedited service in a few days, they even bothered to look that information up on the internet for me on how to do that. That was probably the best service for doing government paperwork in my life time. read more

Last year I dropped them from 4 to 3 stars due to their prices the prices still suck, but this semester they ran out of a book that I bought online for in store pick up. They never told me. I found out today when I finally had my order processed (more than a week after it was placed). And by found out I mean I had to go log in and see why only one of my book orders had been processed. Only when I logged in to check on the other book did I find out that they had canceled this book. Would sending an email letting me know about this so I could have made other arrangements have been so hard? In the week that passed I could have ordered it online and had it already. Now I won't have it for another week. Ridiculous. The end result is they drop to one star and I won't ever buy books here again. read more

They will have everything you could need from clothes to beauty supplies and all kinds of school supplies and textbooks but don't be expecting any good deals. You would be better off ordering books online and buying wolf pack gear at Scheels in Sparks. It's connivence comes at a cost that is not worth paying. Even with a student discount the prices are still outrageous. read more

They have what you need, but don't expect to get it for a good price. Many items, especially textbooks are absolute rip-offs. Books that are listed for $70 used are going for $12 new online. One was a e-book for $147 at the bookstore, while online was $5.39 with shipping on Amazon. They do have price matching but it's a pain in the a** with no discount on shipping and not all advertized prices are acceptable. Returns are also not easy, unless you're willing to take the hit on a "restocking fee". Otherwise, more paperwork!!! This place is a joke. Only use as a last resort!!! read more

The Wolf Shop has a ton of cute Nevada gear and fun gifts. They literally have everything. I loved it when I lived at the dorms because I never had to leave campus to get presents for my family or anything. Plus they don't charge tax. People complaining about textbooks, they have rentals and e-books which are way better priced. Plus they have a price-matching program. read more
