I went in for the first time ever yesterday and the service was amazing and the staff was super friendly and helpful! The music selection was amazing I went in there to browse hopping to find something and I found some amazing records I got, I tired all of them out when I got home and the value and condition the records are in is perfect I recommend this place to everyone and anyone wanting to buy music very affordable great staff an great music!

We popped in at Recycled Records because we had just been next door at Scoopers. The last time I've been to Recycled Records they were still in Midtown. Their (new) store on Kietzke seems as big as the Midtown location, the inventory is as eclectic as before but I didn't find anything interesting enough to pique my interest; so, our person party just moved along.

A good selection of records, CDs, and dvds. I was looking for records and found some oldie but goodies, each $3-$6 a piece. These are the kind of prices old records were before they became in style again in recent years. I got 3 old records for $15 which I felt was a good deal. They also Have more rare and New finds as well with higher price tags. Great little store with lots of parking.

We love Recycled Records! It is THE place to get vinyl records in Reno. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We think it's fun to check out all the different genres of music they have in stock. My son was in town over the holidays and was happy to find some old progressive rock records that had been on his radar to bring back to Scotland where he attends university. And several years ago my daughter bought the same "Recycled Records of Reno" t-shirt that seems to be a favorite of Chrissie Hynde - she has worn it in concert fairly frequently! We came to love this shop many years when they were in midtown but they recently relocated to their current location at Crossroads Shopping Center on Kietzke. While we miss the old store, now they are next door to Scoopers so you can grab a yummy shake after picking up some records!

I love the new digs for Recycled Records on Kietzke. Lots of room to browse. No more handicap parking issues like the ones we encountered in Midtown. Same cool awesome stuff and cool awesome folks running the store. Large selection of dvds, cds, tapes and records. Happy to see the same busy foot traffic at this new location!

My dad and I have an annual date for national Record Store Day and Recycled Records is our favorite stop. Their record selection is the largest that I have found in town and we always walk away with some really great finds. Just don't go if you are short on time bc you are bound to mindlessly burn a few hours checking out music and movies.

This is the ultimate music store! They have so many selections in so many formats. I was shopping for vinyls and found so many treasures and only shopped in one section. Customer service is great and it's easy to strike up a conversation with a fellow shopper here. Can't wait to return and explore more!

Music lovers... take note in midtown Reno there is a shop that sells music...records, 8 tracks, cassettes, CDs, plus movies on DVD. The shop is called Recycled Records. They carry real live physical music in a real live brick n mortar shop owned by real live small business owners. It's so worth dropping in if you are in the neighborhood, which is super close...minutes away...from the downtown casinos. They have diverse genres such as jazz, blues, rap, rock, country... blah blah. I had a great time perusing their vinyl, it brought back memories from my teenage angst filled years. My friend even bought a record that was still in it's original shrink wrap. Score 4 him. #recycledrecordsreno

Grassroots Books is a very good used bookstore with a lot of variety of material-- children's books, DVD's, some records, gently used paperback and hardcover books. Hours are flexible for when they are open, however, they only buy books on Thursdays during the afternoon. I have never been tempted much to sell anything to them over the years, as they tend to be quite choosy with the material that they want and don't want. As a longtime book collector, this is important to maintaining a quality used stock and helps with inventory management. I highly recommend Grassroots for your next book adventure!

The shelves were brimming and there was plenty of staff on hand to help find things and answer questions. Normally, I am an independent bookstore supporter and I do still buy the majority of my books from smaller independent booksellers. Unfortunately, I haven't found an independent bookstore in Nevada -- North or South -- that compares to the likes of Vroman's in Pasadena (if you have a recommendation, I am all ears). That said, if you are in the Reno area and want a brick and mortar bookstore with a huge selection, this is the place. And they do offer some decent discounts, so keep an eye out for the books that have been marked down. I was able to pick up a first edition of Patti Smith's new memoir at 50% off!

The employees were nice, particularly the young lady that helped my niece; she patiently looked up the title of the book even though my niece didn't have all the information. While inside Barnes & Noble, we also stopped by Starbucks to indulge in some sweet treats before making our way out the store. Even though our visit was fruitless (book-wise, not drink-wise), we still had a positive shopping experience.

There's a quiet room in the back where there's a few cats up for adoption. I love their selection, they have such a diverse selection in all of the genres. It's such a treat to come visit because I can always find books I haven't seen yet! They have a wide selection of merch, like soap, stickers, pins, and more. The decor is so cute; last time I went there were so many origami cats everywhere! My genre of choice is Romance and I did not see a dedicated Romance section. Luckily, "House of Cotton" was on my TBR, as I had bought and gifted it a few years ago. So I snagged it and paid. The two workers behind the cash wrap were friendly and took the time to make me feel like I was the only patron in the store, despite what was probably an onslaught for the day. Rad Cat also has a curated selection of stationary and journals to choose from if that's something you're also in the market for. They have a section for cats you can interact with, however with the amount of people that came through on this day, the cats were also overwhelmed and weren't able to be interacted with. Which is totally fine and made total sense for the day.
