I haven't been to Recycled records since they moved to the new location. Shame on me! There so much more room so the selection is massive. The most important thing is they are not only helpful but honest. Thanks guys! read more

It has been years since I stopped in for a visit. It is like browsing a garage sale, you never know what might be there! It is cool to see there are some new titles available as well. I am glad to see a local shop still doing well after all these years! read more

Recycled Records - Alice In Chains, Jar of Flies on vinyl. For the ultimate seasonal depression experience. - Music & DVDs Near Me - Reno, Nevada

Today I brought some records in to be possibly sold. First impression opening the door, business smelled like your grandpa's 2 bedrooms no one has been in since 1947. They need some serious Lysol and Febreze spray. I brought in one record box, sat it in an out of the way place next to the counter to go get my second record box. I got the side eye stare from employee Mike. By the time I got back into the store, a whole minute later Mike has my box on the counter looking through it. No hi, how can I help you, what's your name, a smile or anything. Most people who work the public do not start rummaging through someone else's stuff without some sort of acknowledgment to have permission to inspect the items. In the minute I was outside getting my second box, he decided nothing in the box (50 records) was totally unplayable. It did not matter to me if they bought my records or not. It's the way it was done, disrespectful to someone his elder, you could tell being rude and angry was his work M.O. There is enough anger in the world, no need to spew your anger on people you have no idea who or what they are about. This business earned a -10 and I will tell everyone I know not to do business with this company. read more

We popped in at Recycled Records because we had just been next door at Scoopers. The last time I've been to Recycled Records they were still in Midtown. Their (new) store on Kietzke seems as big as the Midtown location, the inventory is as eclectic as before but I didn't find anything interesting enough to pique my interest; so, our person party just moved along. read more

Stopped by after a long time and was pleasantly surprised by the new space. The larger layout makes browsing much easier, and there's a great variety to explore. The staff was welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. A few more hard-to-find titles would make the experience even better, but I'd gladly come back. read more

They always have the goods with vinyl and cds. I will continue to support this business that has a very knowledgeable and cool staff!

Excellent selection which varies on a daily basis. Prices are typically $3.00 to $10.00 for recycled records in excellent condition. Records are a stable, accurate, and cost effect format. Recycled records in Reno is an excellent source. John ChannelsAV Hi-Fi Stereo Shop Reno, NV read more

A good selection of records, CDs, and dvds. I was looking for records and found some oldie but goodies, each $3-$6 a piece. These are the kind of prices old records were before they became in style again in recent years. I got 3 old records for $15 which I felt was a good deal. They also Have more rare and New finds as well with higher price tags. Great little store with lots of parking. read more

We love Recycled Records! It is THE place to get vinyl records in Reno. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We think it's fun to check out all the different genres of music they have in stock. My son was in town over the holidays and was happy to find some old progressive rock records that had been on his radar to bring back to Scotland where he attends university. And several years ago my daughter bought the same "Recycled Records of Reno" t-shirt that seems to be a favorite of Chrissie Hynde - she has worn it in concert fairly frequently! We came to love this shop many years when they were in midtown but they recently relocated to their current location at Crossroads Shopping Center on Kietzke. While we miss the old store, now they are next door to Scoopers so you can grab a yummy shake after picking up some records! read more

Been going to Recycled Records since I was a wee lad. The old location was nostalgic but I really appreciate the natural lighting in the new location. DVD prices have not changed over the years and that business decision alone has kept me coming back. If you are a film buff you will find some great stuff. CDs and records are at market value. Some artists go dormant for a while, but it's a pretty impressive selection considering the size of the store. read more

I love the new digs for Recycled Records on Kietzke. Lots of room to browse. No more handicap parking issues like the ones we encountered in Midtown. Same cool awesome stuff and cool awesome folks running the store. Large selection of dvds, cds, tapes and records. Happy to see the same busy foot traffic at this new location! read more

Incredible record store awesome place to go awesome prices the staff mike and Kyle Eric Joe and Kats are awesome....great service....

We visited on a Saturday to use a gift card that had been forgotten about and ended up spending a couple of hours perusing the great selection of vinyl. The team was friendly and informative about new releases and we ended up spending 3 times the gift card amount because the selection was so fantastic. Highly recommend if you're looking for rare finds and new releases! read more

I used to love this place. My spot to go to for Record Store Day, Chrissie Hynde wore their t-shirt, etc. Today I asked where they have their Lucinda Williams records. The answer was a stone-faced "never heard of her." I was stunned and said, "Uh, I guess I'll look around for them. Wait, are you saying that you're sure that you don't have any?" The answer was "yeah, that's right." So for their lack of knowledge about music and their complete lack of interest in my musical preferences, I won't be going back. read more

Great place to find a nice selection of CDs. The prices are reasonable. Staff members were helpful with all the customers who walked in. They have a some Cassette tapes and 8-tracks as well. Records as well. Will come back again when I remember what other CDs I need to purchase. read more

My dad and I have an annual date for national Record Store Day and Recycled Records is our favorite stop. Their record selection is the largest that I have found in town and we always walk away with some really great finds. This is the ultimate music store! They have so many selections in so many formats. I was shopping for vinyls and found so many treasures and only shopped in one section. Customer service is great and it's easy to strike up a conversation with a fellow shopper here. Can't wait to return and explore more! read more

It's always a pleasure to stop in and pick a few new pieces up. They often have things that are harder to find or completely out of print and digging through their stacks always feels like a treasure hunt. You really can't beat the prices either. read more

Music lovers... take note in midtown Reno there is a shop that sells music...records, 8 tracks, cassettes, CDs, plus movies on DVD. The shop is called Recycled Records. They carry real live physical music in a real live brick n mortar shop owned by real live small business owners. It's so worth dropping in if you are in the neighborhood, which is super close...minutes away...from the downtown casinos. They have diverse genres such as jazz, blues, rap, rock, country... blah blah. I had a great time perusing their vinyl, it brought back memories from my teenage angst filled years. My friend even bought a record that was still in it's original shrink wrap. Score 4 him. #recycledrecordsreno read more

My vinyl days are long behind me, but I do have a son who is really into collecting and listening to records. Anytime we are in Reno, he reminds me a stop at Recycled Records is a must. It's fun to wander around and check out all the stuff from my youth, long before it was "hip" to be into vinyl. My son seems genuinely happy with the ever changing selections, hard to find albums and great advice he gets from the staff. He recommends a solid 5 star review! read more

I just love this store, I can be in there for hours... they have so much to choose from! You can go back in time and just be mesmerized by the selections! I try and go in and have an idea what I'm looking for, if you can't find just go to the counter and they are so helpful to show you or maybe they might have in the back as they get so much music daily! I usually go in and get 4-5 cds and yes folks they are about 6 bucks...I bought 5 for $30 this visit!! Check them out in midtown and they have 3 parking spots in front and I was happy to get one! They are exceptional with the customer service. read more

My son loves this store! Friendly customer service, great selection of vinyl records and great value.

Well, I almost do not want to review this place because it's a hidden gem! I just moved here a little less than a year ago and this reminds me of all things Austin (insert swoon). Have been warmly greeted by each person that works there. Never had a bad experience. Won't say much more on this place because it's a see it to believe it. Be prepared to spend at least an hour, sorting through records. It can be overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for. read more

Bald guy was rude af. Didn't even want to buy or sell anything in there. Made my girlfriend feel really uncomfortable.

I have so much fun at Recycled records I stopped seeing my psychiatrist. Great people and great fun. Not to mention all the great music.

Cool shop with good selection, the gal with the nose piercing was helpful and very polite, as I was checking out I asked the guy with the long hair about ordering records his customer service was very crappy if you ask me, if a customer is buying records and is asking about future records to buy you probably should treat your customers nicer even if your in a shitty mood try not to convey it to the customer. read more

My go to shop for any "old" records I want. Staff is incredibly kind and selection changes often enough for me. I've been on the hunt for classic rock albums from Steely Dan, Boston, etc. I was able to basically find every Steely Dan album during one of their record sale days. That was a good day. Reno is so lucky to have a great record store like this. read more

We brought in a large vinyl record collection, many rock albums, and easy listening music, Andy Williams and such. They had no interest in the easy listening music, and offered $1.00 per album for the rock music without even looking at them. The long haired , long bearded dude didn't seem interested in helping us at all. So we took the easy listening to the Goodwill, and will sell the rock albums on line. At least we got $5.00 per album at our garage sale. This was the first time I had been in Recycles Records, and was not impressed with the personnel at all. read more

The last of an era. Picking up concert tickets at a record store made my day! Going to a great little show without the mega-entertainment industry involved is a huge step in the right direction. Now I need to put my sound system together again and play vinyl.. read more

This is a favorite place for my wife and I when visiting Reno. They moved to a new location and it seems to be working out. The store is brighter, wife and I still like the old store vibe, which is easier on the eyes when looking at records. The selection of albums, CDs, Cassette tapes, and other media is great! We can spend hours looking and walking away with great finds! The staff is friendly, very informative, and give off "let's go to a concert" vibe. The price is actually good as new albums are cheaper than you find at big box stores. Over all, I recommend this place highly. read more

Went in the other day looking for the Birds of Prey soundtrack which they didnt have. But the sales associate helped me look. May have to shop for this online but It's so much more fun to shop in person. I found a parking spot right in front and entered its dark and still legit record store vibe and soon the sales associate turned on a selection of Dr. Demento level novelty holiday tunes, sacrificing his peace of mind for our amusement. I took a quick look around and saw vinyl, cds, cassette tapes and I think DVds. read more

Recycled Records - Iggy for Attention - Music & DVDs Near Me - Reno, Nevada

Ugly shop with sick ass posters. Weird vibes. Weirdly organized. Dog friendly. Friendly workers. Way too much to look at especially if you're high. Great prices on everything. They don't have your everyday vinyl. They don't even have popular vinyls. But they have shit you have never seen else where which is refreshing. I actually really liked this shop. 9.5/10 read more

I believe this business is great for anyone interested to buy, completely disrespectful and cruel to anyone wishing to sell, and I am relieved (but also horrified) to see other reviewers report the same. I was made to wait a week to make an appointment to try and find my deceased grandparents' vinyl collection a good home, only for the appraiser to look over my items for approximately 90 seconds, declare them all "warped" and "mistreated" and told me they would be better off being dumped at Savers. To not even look at the items I brought in and then so callously imply that they are garbage and mistreated absolutely broke my heart and opened up fresh wounds of grief. They really need to take better tact and care with their customers, because I'm still very hurt and will never be going back. And by the way... maybe 4 out of the 60 vinyls I brought in were warped. If you aren't interested in buying, then maybe don't advertise that as a service. read more
