We entered the store and did not receive a "Welcome in" or any type of greeting you would normally receive when entering a store as a paying customer. As we approached the counter we were met with an employee that was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. His attitude was relentlessly negative, and his behavior was clearly designed to obstruct the transaction rather than assist. As I began to fill out the background form, he took it upon himself to look up my address and it was determined that the address on my Driver's license would not satisfy the residential requirement on the background form, which I can easily have fixed with the DMV, however, he stopped the transaction and was extremely rude about it and was not helpful in explaining the process. When he was questioned about certain "store policies" he was making up during our conversation, he was unable to provide an answer, he was unhelpful and also refused to provide his or his superiors names when asked as well, we were told "we don't give out names here". We left the store with the intention to return the following day with the address correction documentation. The very next morning I received a call from the original dealer that Precision Armory was sending my merchandise back to them and the employee had made false allegations that we were attempting to make a straw transaction which has now damaged my reputation with the original dealer. There was absolutely no other explanation for this employee's behavior, other than he is racist and couldn't contain his disdain and hate for an African American man, it was evident all over his communication, expressions and demeanor, he couldn't hide it. Additionally, there are several other reviews from other customers citing similar discriminatory experiences with this store. I have made multiple attempts for the manager or owner to contact me directly, including a BBB complaint that has went ignored. I would not recommend this store, unless you support discrimination, racism and wickedness. There's so many other stores that will not treat their customers this way.

It's modern, bright and clean…read more Now for the negatives: I took a CCW class at Green Valley Range (at this point I just want to state for the record, that over the years, I have taken many firearm courses at various gun ranges in NV, AZ, and Utah. All of the instructors I previously had at these classes were great and very qualified). The Green Valley Range instructor I had (his first name was Lou), immediately came across as incredibly arrogant and condescending. First, instead of starting the class with a brief couple of minutes intro about himself (which all my previous instructors had done), he practically spent the whole day talking about himself...he just went on and on, about how knowledgeable and great he was...this guy is way too much in love with himself. The other problem was, that about mid way through the class, Green Valley Range sent a sales person in to try and sell CCW liability insurance. Green Valley Range obviously were taking advantage of a captive audience, in a state required CCW class, to sell their other products. This is at the very least unethical, and may be illegal (and if it's not illegal, it should be). The bottom line is, I did not like the attitude or business practices of Green Valley Range, so I would not go back to them for classes, or anything else.

I had very limited amount of time on a gun before my first training day with PFC. I mean, I went to…read morea range a handful of times over the timespan of 11 years. I've done the CCW class, a fundamentals class a few times, and the Progressive Handgun 2-5 courses within maybe four months, and though I'm still new to it, I find myself being able to hold my own with a pistol among people that have had many years experience than me. That's not to say that I've been doing better or just as well, but for what I lack in experience, I'm gaining ground at a pretty rapid pace underneath these instructors. If your idea of range time is just standing in front of a target and plinking away, most of PFC's training is not for you. The introductory and CCW classes are a good gateway to the rest of the classes. There are classes that drill different exercises that include fighting positions, using barricades, movement under fire, low light, and handgun retention during engagements. If you come to these courses with an ego, it will be extra challenging because these courses and instructors are ever evolving, and you might be forced to challenge what you thought you already knew.

This was the best instructions we have ever had in Firearms Training! As we all know, Nevada is a…read morefirearms friendly state, and since we moved here from California so many years ago, we did not know anything about firearms. As our family started to grow, we started to take lessons for us and our children so that we could understand how to be safe around firearms, the law and how to respect them. We knew that our kids as they grew up, would be exposed to many that had firearms at home and so we embarked on a journey to learn about gun awareness, gun safety. Fast forward, we needed to really amp up our learnings and to obtain our CCW as well. We had our CCW before, but we allowed it to expire during Covid and it had been to long past the grace period so we needed to take another full course. This time, I was not looking for a classroom setting, set on a specific day with a lot of people. I was looking for small group setting and found out about Tim Stephens and Stephens Firearms training. This was the best choice we could have made. 1. Tim is a strong communicator and very timely as well. He will guide you with all you need to be prepared and ready. The process to obtain a CCW is administratively daunting and Tim guides you through the process with ease, helping us to prepare all our applications well in advance. 2. In terms of class size, Tim customized the class size just for us and we started at 2 of us and ended up with a total of 5 attendees. 3. Dates were negotiated based on everyone's availability which is awesome, as most of the other CCW classes I looked at were set on specific dates and so having customized dates based on our needs was perfect. 4. We were also asked a lot of questions that we had about firearms, what information we were looking for and what we thought we needed to know. It was really great that Tim could incorporate many of these things into the CCW mandated curriculum. On my own, I have "made things up" or developed some inconsistent habits and Tim's focus was all about reality, facts, the law, best practices and consistent / repetitive processes. This was so helpful and a game changer for us. 5. Other trainings I have had in past are more classroom like for the CCW or it is at the range but a bit daunting and too quick. Tim's training is a lot more engaging and personalized, so when we did not understand something or needed something to be repeated, it was great to be able to engage at this level to get a much deeper understanding and value from the course. 6. The actual shooting test was also beyond our expectations as not only did we all qualify, but we also learned additional practical hints. 7. After qualifying, Tim spent additional time with us to give us live hints on how we could go beyond qualifying and actually improve our accuracy as well! The entire process with Tim, from the communication, the learning, the process, the qualifying and then the extra coaching was beyond our expectations and exactly what we were looking for in an instructor and coach. We look forward to more learnings in the future with Tim and we highly recommend him for your CCW training, or any other training.
