As for the products they are "selling," they are products that are needed. I can say that I'm extremely happy they told us about some of the things that as a responsible gun owner, I should be aware of! The class wasn't boring. I remember in my first CCW class I was bored and wanted to fall asleep. They kept me engaged and I was really loving listening to what they were teaching. I found the information very helpful and useful. One thing they mentioned is they will build a class around your needs/schedule if there is a good enough need, which is great to know. They do all sorts of different kinds of licensing, classes, and range shooting. You can bring your own guns. No shot guns are allowed. They will check your guns before you are allowed to shoot them. Make sure and have your own fire arms unloaded prior to coming . You have choices when it comes to shooting a gun that you would maybe like to own. Shoot it first and see if that fire arm is actually what you want. You can bring your own ammo and even purchase more here as needed . There are no appointments here. It's first come and first served. The range is small and intimate. It's a great place to shoot and at a decent price too. For your next shooting trip consult here. Range review I went…read moreshooting at Green Valley Range with my brother to break in a new handgun. The check-in process was great. An employee went over the rules and everything seemed fine. For $25 each, you get the use of the range, 2 targets, eye and ear protection rental, and they have a lounge with fountain sodas that you can hang out in after. There were a few MAGA shirts for sale, but as a bleeding heart liberal woman, I felt perfectly safe there. Since my gun was brand new and I haven't been shooting in about 20 years, my brother set up some target stickers on the side of one of the targets to ensure it was dialed in. After a few rounds, the RSO came by and questioned what we were doing. For some reason, this range uses a picture-frame style cardboard backing. Someone actually took the time to cut out the center of the cardboard. He was somewhat polite until he started complaining that we were shooting "his" cardboard frame and needed to stop. It's literally a piece of cardboard that was already riddled with holes. There was no explanation, other than the frame was his and we weren't allowed. My brother was a marksmanship instructor in the Marines for years and we could not come up with any valid reason. Other than that, we had a great time.

I had very limited amount of time on a gun before my first training day with PFC. I mean, I went to…read morea range a handful of times over the timespan of 11 years. I've done the CCW class, a fundamentals class a few times, and the Progressive Handgun 2-5 courses within maybe four months, and though I'm still new to it, I find myself being able to hold my own with a pistol among people that have had many years experience than me. That's not to say that I've been doing better or just as well, but for what I lack in experience, I'm gaining ground at a pretty rapid pace underneath these instructors. If your idea of range time is just standing in front of a target and plinking away, most of PFC's training is not for you. The introductory and CCW classes are a good gateway to the rest of the classes. There are classes that drill different exercises that include fighting positions, using barricades, movement under fire, low light, and handgun retention during engagements. If you come to these courses with an ego, it will be extra challenging because these courses and instructors are ever evolving, and you might be forced to challenge what you thought you already knew.
