Deshon, came out 06/16..started the installation and the weather turned unfavorable..he came in as though he didn't know how to tell me he couldn't finish..without hesitation I said to him his is far more important than my internet connection..he said he would see if he supervisor would allow him to return as early as possible the next day..he arrived at 655 am...very pleasant good morning and started with the completion..we conversed a few times because I WFH...he was not disruptive..very very pleasant and professional..ensured I was connected and answered my questions completely...thank you soooooo Deshon...service technicians should model him

Customer service help me get my Internet working because it's out continuously every single day…read more They offered me a free EERO to go along in another room since I have one in my living room. I called today to be assisted activating it. Now both the original person and the person today confirmed that it was free and no charge cause I asked the person today and he said yes there's no charge at all ever. So I had to call back 55 minutes later because it would not connect. It was red and the lady made a comment that it was free for the first 90 days and then I would be charged and I told her that's not what the first two people said and she said I'm sorry but after 90 days there's a charge I said send me a label and I'll send it back. Mediacom cannot get their story straight and they cannot keep the Internet connected. I've had a cable running from one house to two houses down outside of my house for the last three months. It's ridiculous. They are the worst Internet cable service in this country.

My reviews for tech companies is more informed than most and especially so when as it relates to the internet piece of the of the biz of internet. I'm fact, I started up one of the first Internet Service Provider services in my Tennessee computer store back in '92 and have am entering my 5th decade of all things geek related :-) That being said I have had some funky issues with their Internet for a while and had replaced them at my cottage but kept them at my townhouse because they also provided TV here. (both services have some serious issues) I will not go into the regular trials and tribulations I've endured over the last couple of years but in the last couple months they have just become ridiculous on every front and these clowns have got to go!! Closing the local office was bad enough, but they recently did some sort of audit and without notice dropped our Internet service from 600Mbps to 60Mbps, like oops! Their explanation was it was a mistake, and BTW that's true for at least 61 of my neighbors. The only option they offered was to increase my throughout to 1gb for a discount of an additional $99 a month, wait what? There's more BS issues but I have just signed up with a very reputable local company for 1gb internet and guaranteed support 24/7 365 for the same price that I'm currently paying for 60Mbps service, and so are a bunch of my neighbors. Bottom line: Down town is ridiculous, support is very limited, offices are closing all over the place, prices and price increases are stupid and the majority of the contact people are clueless. So the only recommendation I'm giving is I highly recommend to avoid this company under all circumstances. #fail Check out the "Mediacom Sucks" Facebook page where thousands of customers sound off: https://www.facebook.com/groups/55575141274/

Ticket after ticket after ticket--and still no resolution. We've been calling every single day for…read moreover a week because our business landlines have been completely down. Every time, they promise a technician will come out, the tech doesn't even speak to us before closing out the ticket as "complete" or even check our jacks inside. Our phones are still not working, and at this point, we feel completely ignored and hopeless. As a business, reliable phone service is essential, and this company has failed us in every way. The customer support is some of the worst I've ever experienced--completely unhelpful and dismissive. We've finally decided to switch providers. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone.

This review is for the Bayou Blvd location store and the employees there, not Cox Internet quality…read more I have been through many Cox modems as they stop working completely or start overheating and giving sporadic internet (ethernet and WiFi), especially after storms. Each time I go to the Cox Communications store on Bayou Blvd, I am immediately greeted by an employee and taken to a work station and asked how they can help me. I explain my current modem situation, and without hesitation, they take it and go to the back and give me a new one. They verify my account and that it is me, and explain how to set up the modem (which is super easy with the app) and I'm out the door and on my way in about 5 minutes. Last time I was there, they gave me the newer model of the modem and waived the fee (as they should, since I didn't break it, lol). I'd recommend this store if you need equipment replaced.

Lairs. Jamel told me my bill would be $56 for the first month with a free trial for the unlimited…read moredata, then I get a text from Cox saying it's $106. I come in and ask them about it, well before my 30 days is up, and of course Jamel isn't there and they tell me that he left no notes in my file about the offer and that they can remove the unlimited data charge but I still have to pay the prorated price for the days I did have the unlimited data, which was what Jamel told would me be free for the first 30 days. Now I have to call Cox and speak with the billing department. Also, many of the employees are extremely unprofessional and rude. One employee called me over to help me out when I arrived as another employee (I think she actually may have been a manager) was talking to him, and she straight up said "I'm talking to you" to him and they had me sit back down to finish their conversation. The same woman was too busy talking with even more of her coworkers to figure out what was going on with me and why I was upset, even though I was the only person in the store. Ridiculous all around. The supervisor I eventually spoke with (I believe her name was Ameris) was professional, but she ultimately was unable to resolve my issue herself and I ended up leaving dissatisfied overall and with more work to do myself. She told me she would have to consult with Jamel and get "both sides of the story," when he could and probably will simply lie about what he said to me, just like he did before.
