Moved to the Pensacola area for work. I travel a lot now so I'm not really home as much. My boyfriend found Avs systems and wanted to make sure I was safe and my place was protected. The tech they sent out was so nice to both my bf and I. He was Funny, professional and he made sure that I understood the features and they worked on my phone. I think his name was Michael--I can't remember this was a month ago, but I remembered to write this once I got my handwritten thank you note from their team. When dealing with the security of your home you want to be doubly sure the people who install and maintain your security system are honest, competent, fair, pleasant to get along with and reliable. AVS is a wonderful company to do business with. We bought our (spec) home in 2016 with an AVS installed alarm. There was once when I had to call them for a door sensor failure which they replaced, if I remember, at no charge. On a few other occasions something went wonky with the keypad and was fixed with simple over the phone instructions from the receptionist - again, no charge. Unfortunately, 7 years later and after the mfr. had discontinued our particular model alarm, we had a catastrophic failure of the motherboard. Chris hunted around to try and save us the expense of a new system and managed to find a similar board in their warehouse which they believed would work. Unfortunately, it couldn't pick up the existing sensors so that idea turned out to be a dead end. On their recommendation, we agreed a new system was the way to go but this was an upgrade. However, instead of charging us more, they agreed to do the new install for the same price with two brand new touch pads, all new RF sensors and an additional motion detector. Thank you, AVS! Robert was the salesperson who priced the job, Chris worked out all the behind-the-scenes logistics, chasing down of parts and setting up the job while Matthew, a very knowledgeable and skilled technician (no marks on the wall, no peeled paint from removing the old sensors and pads and no mess on the floor) did the install and got my wife and I set up with the control app on our phones and pads. We were up and running in very short order and just in time for our out of town trip. I can honestly say AVS have a great team, are fair and honest, do neat and professional work and are very pleasant to work with. Even after 7 years I can't recommend them enough; thank you Robert, Chris and Matthew! read more

BEWARE this company will sign you up for a five-year contract as they rush you through the paperwork to initially set up services and you will be left with a contract for utterly useless sevices. I found out after I sold my house and tried to turn the service off. I'm stuck paying for an alarm system on a house I don't own any more for another 3 YEARS!!!! Furthermore the staff in the office and the owner are completely useless. The owner will pretend that he knows people in your neighborhood and that he provides services for them just to get you to sign the contract. You're better off getting a cat to guard your house and a fake alarm sign from Lowe's. read more

Jim, Randy and team were awesome! They came out to install a customer owned 9 camera system. They were thorough and professional and very respectful of my property and household; they took their shoes off in the house and everything. They were very helpful and willing to answer any questions I had. Jim went above and beyond by addressing an issue he saw with one of my smoke detectors and provided background and everything on why it should be moved. I would definitely recommend AVS! read more
