Can I score a zero? Let's see…read more I have a solar water heater on my roof. A month ago, the system froze and the pipes cracked and the whole thing was rendered unusable. Ok... It was kind of my fault, and I'll take a bit of responsibility for the issues - to a certain extent. My problem is... I didn't design this system. The recirculate function, and freeze plug systems weren't my ideas. I'm sure that the draining of the system would have been better attempts at keeping the system from causing issues, but I was led to believe that these systems were sufficient. My system froze and as a result the pipes froze and burst and there was a complete system failure. The good news was that I was under warranty. The bad news was that Compass Solar and the company that was "warrantying" my system had no problem gouging me. The estimated price to replace my system was over 1300 bucks. I decided to go NOT green to replace the system. I'm 60. I'm going to die before I can make the difference. Good luck young people. Greed takes precedence in today's market. You're going to pay for it in the long run. I'l be long dead.

The problem came to light after the service manager of 6 years and the other employee saw it was not installed correctly and had no sealant. Naturally 1 owner agreed they needed to fix the approx 23k damage on our house. I paid them 30k plus for the privilege of this frustration which looks like is going the legal route. Bottom line the first rate service manager has quit as he can not stomach the fraudulent actions of this company . So my system has been down for closing in on 2 months DOING NOTHING. Solar system can be great but no better than com and quality of company behind it.

I had to peruse multiple times to find out while I was still waiting on my roof. The quality is something a child can do better. Extremely deceitful and dishonest. My neighbor had the nearly same terrible experience with them. Stick to a local Pensacola company.

I bought a home in Feb 2022 they put a 20K roof on less than a year ago in 2021. There is something loose and flapping that is along the ridge of the roof. It flaps so loud and hard when the wind blows, it sounds like a motor cycle is in my attic! Called 3 times and was told I would receive a call back from the local office to set an appt to come repair the issue. After 2 weeks of waiting and no call back, I call back AGAIN and ask for a manager. A person named Alfonso then very condescendingly and with an apologetic and smug manner tells me because I was not the original purchaser, if I did not buy the home within 30 days of their replacement there is NO warranty at all! He then tells me I would need to pay them to come make any repairs! 20 thousand dollar project not done right and now they get off scott free because of the policies they have that take advantage of people. Absolutely shameful. I then laughed and in the same tone as he gave me, I said to Alfonso, I would never give my money to the company that didn't do it right the first time, its less than a year old and they refuse to take any accountability and stand behind their work to FIX THEIR LOUSY WORK! This company obviously only cares about making a buck and NOT the community or customers they serve!

Just didn't show up for a scheduled install, after I took time out of my busy work day. Time after time they fail. If your project is assigned to them you should beware. My experience with Suncor was deceptive. The representative named Ivan lied about the financial…read moreaspects. He said there's incremental increases of $3.99/mo. every 12 months. The Truth in Lending disclosure stated it would be 25 Year's of 3.99% increases. My electrical provider Duke Enery has had increased about 2% every year for the past 10+ years. This makes it way more expensive than Duke every year if I had both solar and Duke bills. This deception was the money I would be paying monthly. Now let's discuss the bigger deception. My last bill for January came in showing I used 2,256KW electricity. To keep this review about the bigger picture I will save you the long manipulation tactic Ivan used. Just know he convinced the family we were going to have a 30-40% less bill monthly by going to solar with Suncor net leasing. However, in reading the paperwork there's a big discrepancy between what the solar panels will give (about 1,700KW) and what we need each month (over 2,200). Ivan said we would have a credit every month from Duke Energy because they're getting solar supply all day. But if I'm not getting enough for my own household then nevermind giving back to the grid. From the math I'm short 500KW monthly AND without a battery to store some of that solar, all the watts we use when it's dark outside still gets billed by Duke Energy. Long story short: if I were to go with Suncor net lease agreement I'm probably not able to sell my house for 25 years, pay more to them than Duke Energy, NOT ever owning solar anything having paid them $132000 and still owe Duke because everyone is home on gadgets in the evenings when the sun is not giving us any electricity.
