We were promptly seated, and given a great spot near the wall-sized indoor fountain which was nice. We started with cocktails and appetizers, and they all came out quickly. We started with bread, which was excellent. We moved on to the grilled artichokes, which were also pretty special. The jalapeno aioli added to the smokiness of the grilled artichokes. We loved them. The bib salad was also a treat - nice chop, and the lardons were perfectly cooked little flavor bombs that stood up nicely to the blue cheese. We had the lobseter ravioli, and the single-layer crispy lasagne for our meals. The lobster ravioli was delicious, and the freshly made sundried tomatoes added a little extra structure to balance the plate. The single layer lasagne was really interesting. Wasn't sure what to expect, and the server said it was a little controversial, so I tried it. It came out as a large sheet - fresh spinach pasta sheets, layered with a delicious bolognese sauce, and topped with pesto and bechamel. Unconventional? Yes. Delicious? YES! I'm so glad I was feeling experimental - it was an innovative dish. Overall, we loved it. Service was very solid - attentive, without being intrusive. Perfect evening! Previous review: Dropped in here just to check it out. We came early on Thursday, and it was jumping! Got a seat at the Kitchen bar to have a few apps, and a cocktail, and had a fantastic snack and talked with some great folks in the kitchen. Pizza is fantastic wood -oven style, and the service was great. Wish I had photos - but I'll save those for the next time i visit and do a more thorough tour of the menu.

We were really looking forward to visiting this restaurant. The space is beautiful, and the menu…read morelooked very appealing, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The restaurant was a little difficult to find, as there was no obvious signage on the door. We arrived around 4 PM on a Thursday and sat at the bar. Unfortunately, we waited about 10 minutes before the bartender acknowledged us. After ordering our drinks, we felt somewhat uncomfortable with the interaction. The service came across as unwelcoming, and we didn't feel particularly valued as customers. We were there during happy hour, when well drinks were advertised at $10. However, when we received our bill, the whiskey sour was charged $6 more than expected, along with an additional 3% service fee. We were also paying cash. Additionally, the wine glass had a chip along the rim, which was concerning. We ended up having our drinks and asking for the check rather than staying longer. It's unfortunate because the restaurant itself is lovely, and the menu looks wonderful. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience was worth sharing. I hope the owner takes this feedback constructively, as a few people we spoke with had similar experiences. With a little more attention to service, hospitality, and the details, this could be a much more enjoyable place to visit.

I know, I know, its a…read morecollege town, don't gripe about the college kids... but holy hell its nice to hang out with the grown ups sometimes! A couple of tips for the newbie adult headed to this VIP lounge: 1) Make sure to get your booty up there prior to 9pm (after 9pm there is a $10 cover charge) 2) $10 isn't going to break the bank, I get it however, it IS a key bit of info so take it for what its worth. (Its worth ten bucks, ha!) Make sure that if you should arrive before 9, like for happy hour, and stay after 9, that your given a wrist band so you can wander from floor to floor without having to pay the entry fee 3) If you get there prior to 9pm and have a person or people you actually want to speak (and not yell at) the music is at a normal level so carrying a conversation is tres easy. Beware, after 9pm they PUMP up the volume so be prepared to yell your conversation after that time frame kicks in 4) And speaking of 'tres' this bar is tres chic, there is a ton of cozy seating, you can go find a booth which is semi private or go more public and choose a table out in the open (along with more cozy seats) 5) They have an 'L' shaped pool table, very weird but very cool and ultra different. I've never seen one quite like it anywhere else 6) The martini selection is pretty tasty (see my pix) and the prices are right up my alley (marginally priced and well worth it) 7) The absolute BEST part of my experience here at the VIP Ultra Lounge was Stephanie. The adorable, extra friendly bartender/waitress, literally, the best little thing located upstairs. Her personality ROCKED. She gave me mini tour and being that it was my first time here, while she toured, she explained all the bars (total of 4), their highlights and best times to have fun at each of them. Seriously treated me in TOTAL VIP fashion, what a gem!! The cool thing about this bar is that its connected to 3 other totally different (un-VIP, just made up that word) bars. So... if you get tired of being a snobby VIP, you can take your wasty face downstairs and kick it with the college kids. Good thing #8... if your walking sideways and acting like a drunk monkey, you'll blend right in :) Dance, scratch your butt, do a shot then fall on the floor, hey! Have a good time!

Once you are past the cheapest drinks you can buy phase of Chico life, come up to VIP Ultra Lounge. Check 'em out during happy hour to scout if you like it without paying a cover. I enjoyed my melon mojito- with none of the stickiness or smell associated with most the venues in Chico. I get that Chico isn't used to paying much of a cover charge at all, but I'd rather pay a cover and go somewhere gorgeous, comfortable & clean. I used to love the Bear & LaSalles, but you go there after a few drinks because otherwise you'd never get past the smell and in the door. You can smell them from outside. Yuck. Other than harping on the fantasticness of a clean place- my husband has enjoyed his drinks there as well, we've had tacos and a steak/gorganzola pizza during happy hour- all good stuff. And that explains why I'm headed there in 40 minutes to celebrate the end of my work week!

Roselle Bar & Lounge was such a charming surprise, tucked into one of those newer mixed-use…read morecommercial/residential developments that can sometimes feel a bit sterile, but this spot has genuine soul. Sunlight danced across playfully colored walls, instantly making the space feel welcoming and alive. Innovative and classic cocktails are offered alongside beer and a modest wine selection. The mocktails looked wonderfully thirst-quenching, but my soul was calling for an orange wine. It served its purpose quite nicely. The menu centers on healthier bar food options, and the intention comes through beautifully. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully sourced, and lovingly prepared rather than simply assembled. The offerings lean playful, with subtle Asian influences that keep things interesting. Our group chose to lean in on the more indulgent side of the menu. The rice tots? Unexpected, whimsical, and absolutely worthy of sharing, crispy little conversation starters. We enjoyed this starter with a little bowl of seasoned mixed nuts. But let's discuss the pastrami sandwich. A glorious indulgence layered with melty cheese, kimchi slaw, and piled onto a locally baked brioche bun. Restraint was simply not invited to this meal. My dinner companions opted for the cheeseburger and were completely delighted. Classic in concept, but elevated in execution, right down to the burger sauce, which struck that elusive perfect balance of tangy, savory, and craveable. And the fries? Skinny, McDonald's-style (yes, that's a compliment), with exactly the right crunch and seasoning. Roselle manages that lovely balancing act of feeling casual yet intentional, playful yet polished. A very happy little find in Chico, California.

It's very nice inside with sleek decor. Patio is nice size as well. Full bar and wood burning pizza oven. We came here for breakfast ( scrambled eggs..bacon..toast) but they only serve that on the weekends. We pivoted and got the Waglu burger with garlic parm fries. The burger was juicy ( messy..extra napkins ) and the fries were nice and crunchy and delicious! Plenty of garlic! I ordered a buttery chardonnay and he got a Farmer's Brewing beer. Very good with the food that we shared! The waiter BRADEN was wonderful and very attentive! Great personality ! The only thing I was surprised about was the 2 dollar charge for alittle ranch dressing and 5 dollars to split the plate. Never ate the dressing and never asked to "split" the plate. Other than that the food was tasty and the waiter was awesome! I heard their brunch is very popular with make your own bloody marys!

The owner Frank was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. I highly recommend Unwined for events in their private room. Our server was prompt, polite, and friendly, which we appreciated. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with lots of natural light and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd describe it as "Chico nice" -- casual and trendy, but not fine dining or especially refined service. The food was okay to good, but nothing memorable. We ordered the avocado toast, chicken sandwich, a beer, and a sweet drink, and the total came to about $72. Everything was perfectly fine, just not the kind of food or experience that would make me want to return, especially for a birthday celebration. Overall, it's a decent spot for a casual lunch, but it didn't feel particularly special for the price.

Yeah, but the way they did it, their lack of loyalty, both to the KJ and to us their patrons who were not allowed one last night to say goodbye, that dismissal showed us all that WE were disregarded. So if I was basing they review on food alone it's an easy 4 to 4.5 stars. Service was lacking. I arrived first and took a small table in the very back corner. When the waiter came by I let them know I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen in over a year and we were planning a long lunch. It was a Saturday afternoon and not busy. My guest arrived and the sever didn't come back for at least 10 min. But ok. No biggie. We ordered a soda and an iced tea. When those arrived we ordered food. My tacos came quickly and then we sat, looking at my food while we waited for the other entrée, the burger. 10 minutes later it shows up served by another server, no explanation or even acknowledgement that it took 10 minutes between me being served and my companion being served. Anyway our server was MIA for the rest of our stay. No offer of a refill for our beverages, no asking if the food was ok. Nothing. We stayed about 2 hours total and my normal policy is to double the tip because I have taken a table for about twice as long as normal. Unfortunately service was sub par. Oh and tea was incredibly strong not in a good way.
