Having asked in quite a few places in Frodsham and then on the Chester Road, The New Helsby Arms actually agreed. I think we where just grateful to get fed! And boy where we impressed they did, the food was amazing! I had the Mushroom Risotto and Rob had Tenderloin Pork Chops. Mine was lovely but I definitely had food envy especially after trying his! When we go back I am definitely opting for the Pork it was so tender and tasty. Plus on a Monday night it was empty so the service was excellent!

The prices of this dark pub seem to be based on adding all holiday prices together and if the cost of your drink ends with 99p, you can expect the barmaid to just keep the penny without asking. Even though I'm off on holiday and have no need for one stirling penny, I still want the damn thing. It's the principle. I also don't like the idea of taking my belt off and shoving my belongings through an x-ray machine just to drink. Yes, that's the exact reason they made me do that.
