My server kindly walked me through the meal options and also drink menu, and I ended up getting one of the aperol spritz drinks and the octopus casarecce. Though one of the more forgotten about CRG restaurants in Indy, don't be caught leaving Nesso out of your weekend plans! This Italian restaurant has the tough job of playing little brother to the likes of Livery, Vida, Union 50, and Provisions, but the uniquely authentic elevated Italian dining should have you ready to make your reservation. We love to go on Tuesdays for half-off Spritz (think elevated Aperol Spritz), or Thursday's for half off their excellent selection of wine. We pair it with their beef carpaccio starter that had beautiful fried polenta to compliment the delicate beef. I can confidently recommend nearly everything on the menu. Coming to Nesso is a monthly occurrence for us and the excellent wait staff and ability to accommodate large parties keeps us coming more. I only wish they were open later! read more

The location is perfect--right off the cultural trail and inside the beautiful Alexander Hotel. The ambience inside includes modern decor and low lighting. Outside seats are available as weather permits. The bartenders know their stuff! Most of their drinks are spirit-forward. You'd want reservations for most weekends, and don't forget to bring your Cunningham restaurant rewards card. After six years of being involved with Yelp, a few things are probably obvious. I'm an introvert. I'm casual. I'm friendly. I eat out most every meal, but I also very seldom do what we would refer to as "fine dining." So, you had to know something was up when I found myself at Nesso, a Cunningham Restaurant Group establishment inside The Alexander Hotel in the Pogue's Run area of Indy in this small but growing area of central Indy known as CityWay. The hotel is a boutique hotel and you get that vibe as soon as you pull up. Parking in this area is always a little tricky, but there's private lots along with limited street parking. I actually spied two accessible parking spots on South Street right next to the hotel and adjacent to Nesso. There was a curb cut only a few feet away. I didn't have any trouble getting out of or back into my car. While the parking is generally paid around here, the odds are pretty decent that if you're going to Nesso that's not your first concern. I attended a special VIP dinner the night before the Indy Shorts International Film Festival kicks off here in Indy. If you're familiar with dining, then you know Executive Chef Kawika Pieper and Executive Pastry Chef Hattie McDaniel - you also know that means you're in for a culinary delight. Our reservation was for 8pm and we knew we'd be staying until they are scheduled to close at 10pm (during the week). We had a rather lengthy table set off to the side of one of their areas. They offer outdoor dining options and have a beautiful dining room that is perfectly situated for both social and intimate situations. As we were a rather large party, we had multiple servers. I couldn't begin to tell you who was the actual lead, because everyone worked together as a team so nicely. After allowing time for initial introductions and socialization, the four course evening began. It was nicely paced throughout and involved one round of two appetizers (multiple servings placed along the table), another round of breads, the main course (4 options - I chose an absolutely incredible pollo dish), and a dessert option that was, again, also placed along the table so that you could try both the ice cream option and the tiramisu. The atmosphere is wonderful - it's got an electric vibe, but it never gets overwhelming. The CityWay area is a bit higher-end - I joked about not being nearly hipster enough, but you actually have a nice weaving together of different age groups and some ethnic diversity that's nice. Our group included age, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, and ability diversity yet I don't think anyone ever felt out of place and the crew here at Nesso was impeccable with everyone. The food was remarkable from beginning to end. The bread options were, perhaps, a bit lighter than I'd have chosen but I can't fault a single aspect of the meal and the main course was simply stunning. I'm not usually a fan of tiramisu, but this tiramisu was mind-boggling. Yes, mind-boggling. As is frequently stated in reviews, the service here is really the highlight. I got very few names, because the service truly doesn't aim for "notice me." It aims for "enjoy your time with us." There's a huge difference and it's on full display here. Wine glasses were filled in timely manners, special requests/allergies were addressed discreetly and respectfully, water glasses were always filled - even after they'd closed. We never felt rushed out the door. Every single server was incredible. You can tell they live into a culture of service here. In short, while I may have started off feeling a bit out of place here I was quickly immersed in this wonderful atmosphere. It was a bit of an urban escape, a terrific meal with terrific service and an overall experience that you truly remember. Fiancé and I visited Nesso during Devour Indy 2021 for my birthday dinner. 3 courses per person for $35 was an amazing deal for the experience and food we had. For our first course, I got the grilled octopus and my fiancé got the tomato/burrata salad. The Grilled octopus came with a citrus fennel slaw and calibrian Chile sauce. I've never had octopus that was as flavorful and tender as this one was. The calibrian Chile sauce was very unique but I found it to be a bit on the salty side. The tangy fennel slaw paired perfectly with everything else. The tomato salad was also good, but nothing spectacular. For the second, I got the trout and my fiancé got the iberico pork. The trout was cooked perfectly, with a crispy exterior and flaky interior. The artichoke, zucchini, and asparagus was perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the fish. The actual iberico pork was okay. It came with an oyster mushroom and couscous medley that was so flavorful and definitely stole the show. My fiancé could not stop talking about how lovely those mushrooms were. Lastly, for dessert I ordered the tiramisu and my fiancé ordered the cheesecake. The cheesecake was alright, a little too dense for my liking. The tiramisu though, was incredible. Moist, melt in your mouth, chocolatey, coffee explosion. I will have dreams about this tiramisu. If the food sucked I might give this place five stars on service alone but the food didn't suck! A group of seven of us went on a Thursday evening and we had reservations. The person leading our group requested Brandon as our server. This was the first time to Nesso for me. Brandon came to the table and explained how the menu was laid out and how the courses would go. I ordered Pane which was the bread offering and for $7 I got focaccia, a baguette, grissini breadsticks, and an olive oil and balsamic mixture. We had three of these at the table and we just shared them. For my first course I ordered Asparagi con Le Uova which was an asparagus fennel salad, a sous vide egg, parmesan zabaglione, and preserved lemon vinaigrette. This was an excellent starter and I certainly would not hesitate to order it again. When the first course was brought out Brandon went to each person to explain what they had on their plate as if they were the only person there. Talk about five star service! After the first course was finished for all of us no less than three additional people came to the table to help clear everything off and reset the table with fresh silverware. The next course I had I ordered the Ravioli which was foie gras and leek, pear mostarda, Buffalo milk gorgonzola, fried leeks, and candied spiced walnuts. While these flavors worked very well together it was not exactly what I expected on the interior of the ravioli I expected it to be a little more chunky not so much liquid. The flavors together on this dish were outstanding. The next thing I ordered was the Risotto which was Squid Ink risotto, charred octopus, eggplant, tomato and Herb tartare. This was my first experience with risotto and I don't think I am a fan but that was the best octopus that I have ever eaten. The octopus was not chewy and it was perfectly charred. On to dessert. I couldn't help myself I had to have the Tiramisu. We all shared the desserts as well so I got to try a little bit of everything. There was not one dessert that I did not like. Nice for date night or special evening out with friends. Upon checking in with the hostess they offer to check your coats. Servers are very welcoming, polite and are very knowledgeable about the menu with wine pairing for entrees. We tried the fried olives, which reminded us of scotch eggs. It mainly tasted like fried Italian sausage. We had hoped for there to be a more olive taste or more olives in it rather than one olive in the center of a fair amount of Italian sausage. For entrees, we had the chicken saltimbocca and the scallops. We both agreed the scallops won hands down for our favorite and were delicious! There were three large scallops served over risotto with asparagus on the side. We finished the meal off with the tiramisu, which was also delicious and had a neat design on top. It was super easy to make a reservation and our server, Nic, was incredibly helpful. As a trained sommelier, he was able to recommend excellent wine pairings with dinner as well as the carpaccio as an appetizer. My boyfriend had the swordfish and I had the buccatini alla nerano, both of which were flavorful and made for a special night out. I really wanted to like Nesso, but we left unimpressed. The space is beautiful, and the staff was attentive, but the food was mediocre. We dined this evening and ordered from the Devour Indy menu. The appetizer round was the best part of the meal - the octopus was excellent (tender and flavorful) as was the Mediterranean salad (the truffle flavor was quite prominent in the vinaigrette). My entree was the linguini Nero - the sauce was somewhat spicy, almost overpowering the mild seafood and ocean/salty flavor of the pasta Nero. The scallop was cooked perfectly though. Dessert was disappointing. After reading all the other reviews, we were really looking forward to the tiramisu, but ours was bland, watery, and partly frozen on the bottom layer. Nesso it's a devour Indy restaurant that you definitely don't want to miss out on. Their fare of Italian food is a tongue slapping delight!! My first plate was a char grilled octopus with a walnut based mayo. I never knew octopus could be as soft as a marshmallow but with a charcoal flavored crisp on the outside. I will come back solely for this dish! The second plate was an incredible follow up with a pork shank paso buco. The meat fell off the bone and the sauce was thick, creamy and savory. It was also served with a crispy, spiced broccolini that was pleasantly surprising. I don't usually eat vegetables but this got me going! The third plate, the tiramisu dessert speaks for itself. It's homemade and it was chocolaty yet not overly sweet. I ordered an extra espresso shot that came with a cube of brown sugar and lemon rind, and it was simply the most enjoyable coffee experience I could ask for. Came in pretty early to eat because I had not eaten anything all day. Eyes were bigger than my stomach. Went with Burrata ($12), Agnolotti ($24), and Capesante ($32). Burrata came on top of heated cherry tomatoes and pickled onions in a mini skillet, topped with some pesto, with flame grilled buttered toast. Everything about this dish was excellent; lots of good flavor mixes that played well with each other, and the bread was crunchy but not mouth hurting level, and soft in the middle, with a good amount of flavor (sourdough bread, my favorite). This appetizer was pretty large in portion. Loved it. The Agnolotti came next with plenty of mushrooms and slices of truffle on top of several small pasta stuffed with more mushrooms. (Pardon my basicness, but for those that don't know what agnolotti is, think mini-ravioli). Each bite of the agnolotti was a flavor bang in your mouth. The sauce that came with was also an awesome mushroom sauce. I really like mushrooms and ravioli, so this dish was perfect for me. The price point felt a little expensive for me, but please note, I do not know how to appreciate truffles. The only critique I had about the dish itself is that the walnuts that came with the dish felt very random. Didn't know how I felt about the unnecessary crunch when I wanted a soft texture dish of mushrooms and stuffed pasta. Last dish was scallops on a bed of mashed sunchokes and asparagus with a few pieces of crunchy red skinned vegetable/fruit I did not know. The mashed sunchoke was new to me and very pleasant. It was like mashed potatoes but without any of the heaviness. Loved it. The asparagus pieces were amazing as well, cooked to perfect tenderness while not falling apart, and the sauce was a subtle sweet. The menu also said pancetta was involved somewhere, but I didn't notice it. Finally the scallops: I appreciated how big they were and the color on top was amazing. Unfortunately, looks were deceiving, as the texture wasn't as seared as I had hoped, and the inside of the scallops were ever so slightly on the overcooked side. Other than the small marks on the scallops, everything else was perfect. An excellent meal! Would definitely come again and order a few other pastas, as well as the trout. I have been to Nesso twice and both times have had different experiences. We ordered the same food each time but I do think they change the menu often. The burrata and bread were good both times though this time they added candied onions which I personally did not enjoy. The aricini was very good! The focaccia the second time was ok, it was room temperature when served. They do not have nonalcoholic drinks listed but they were kind enough to offer us mocktails upon request. Nesso served up one helluva dinner. It was filling, delicious, with some amazing surprises mixed in! It was great to come downstairs from The Alexander, take a seat in this low-lit, beautiful restaurant and have one of the best meals I've had in some time. We started with appetizers. Specifically the prugne secche (prosciutto-wrapped dates) really stood out. These looked a bit odd at first -- I admit. But the savory of the prosciutto and the sweetness of the dates worked well together. And for my main meal, I went with the agnolotti, a pasta comprised of mushroom, winter truffle, whey, parmesan and walnuts. Nesso had many specials on the night we visited using truffles, so I wanted to be sure to get something with this in it, and our waiter, Jarred, highly recommended it. Jarred was right! This was a perfect, comforting winter dish. Loved all the heartiness of the mushrooms and truffles with this entree. I also tried a few bites of the carbonara, an Italian classic. With its pancetta, egg, parmesan and peppercorn, this was as rich as you'd expect it to be. For dessert, my meal-mates and I tried a few things, including the tiramisu, zeppole and spumoni terrine. The tiramisu was BEAUTIFUL! This is a showstopper. Along with being sweet with hints of espresso, it had a floral pattern on its top in cocoa. The zeppole consisted of ricotta donuts with dipping sauces, but my favorite was the spumoni. There's something about ice cream in cake form that just makes me happy. The honeycomb brittle, marshmallow fluff and dehydrated chocolate mousse also didn't hurt when it came to putting a smile on my face. They had me at bruschetta (when they pronounced it the correct way - bonus points). I was sold. Our server was incredibly kind and caring, and he led us through all of the courses of dinner. It was evident that each dish was made with extreme thought and care. We tried just about everything: Antipasti: We had a big group, so we ordered all of the appetizers (oh yeah!), specifically the bruschetta, polpo (octopus), prosciutto plate, prugne secche (prosciutto-wrapped prunes), carciofi (artichoke), and insalata. Each person at our table loved every single thing we put in our mouths. Everything was flavorful and incredibly enjoyable. My favorites? The polpo and bruschetta. So. Incredible. Primi: We also all ended up choosing pasta as our main course (can you go to an Italian restaurant and not get pasta?!). The Agnolotti pasta dish was incredible. It was the perfect size and the right mix of rich, while still allowing me to finish the whole dish. There were huge cooked mushrooms, amongst incredible pockets of pasta, mixed with whey, parmesan and walnuts. Dolci: Adopting a newfound, 'when in Rome' attitude, we order dessert too. Our table snagged a tiramisu and tartufo di cioccolato. The tiramisu came out with an incredible pattern created in the top of it (somehow looked like it was made out of velvet). The tartufo came out almost like a chocolate ball with hazelnut and more chocolate mousse. Both were gorgeous. What really makes an incredible time though, is always the service and we truly enjoyed everyone we met. They were all so kind and shared some laughs with us throughout the night. There are so many things I want to say in this review but first I'd like to start with Jarred, our server. Jarred, I hope you get to read this because I want you to know that your impeccable service and hospitality made my team's visit to Nesso a night to remember. I also thoroughly enjoyed their Vermouth menu which offered some reasonably priced options. The standouts of the meal were the pasta carbonara (the pasta alone is worth ordering this dish), ricotta donuts with a citrus drizzle and white bean bruschetta. I also loved the roasted artichoke appetizer and the prunes wrapped in prosciutto and served with honeycomb. Based on the feedback of my dinner mates, I really don't think you can go wrong here with whatever you order on the menu. Lastly, the setting is equally as beautiful as when it was Cerulean but quite different. Thank you, Nesso, for finally being an Italian restaurant that is absolutely amazing. I've had trouble finding one in Indy for years, even with "recommendations" from other foodies. No one compares to you! This restaurant is located in the Alexander downtown. I have been wanting to try them forever. Since they were apart of Devour Indy, finally decided to give them a go. Reservations are recommended, so I called the day of with the hopes of possibly getting a table. I spoke with the manager on the phone, Ken, who was super friendly and accommodating. He said he could squeeze us in at the bar, which was perfect. At the bar, there were 2 bartenders who gave top notch service. They were very friendly, made great drinks (and gave great recommendations), and brought our food in a timely manner. For my drink, I asked what gin cocktails they had that were popular. He suggested a Negroni, and since I've never had one before, I decided to give it a go. I actually loved it, it was super unique and could taste the bitters. It also came with an orange peel and rosemary, which I think really enhanced the flavor. If you like gin, I'd recommend giving it a go as well! Now onto the food. For the app, I ordered octopus. Main- seafood risotto. Dessert- Nutella. I have never had octopus before, the closest thing is fried calamari. They serve it tentacle style (definitely something I just made up) on a bed of grain that tasted like grits in my opinion. The flavor of the octopus is absolutely DELICIOUS. The texture reminded me of how scallops are. They also put some type of glaze on it that makes the flavor pop. Definitely recommend trying! The seafood risotto was to die for. It had swordfish, branzino, and salmon in it, with a lemon spinach cream, peas, zucchini, shallots, and tomatoes. As I mentioned before, I was a little nervous to try this as my indy italian experience has not been great. This knocked my expectations out of the park!! Every bite had so much flavor, and flavors that complemented each other as well. It was cooked to perfection and I was in heaven with every bite. Highly recommend this dish!! For dessert, I had Nutella with orange honeycomb crisps. You can't go wrong with Nutella- for theirs they make it somewhat of a mousse style, served cold. Super yummy!! It was a special occasion and we wanted to have a fi e dinning experience to celebrate so we choose to go to Nesso in downtown. There are street meter parking available around the place and the also have valet parking as an option. We did make the reservation before going and after arriving we were welcomed a t reception and they help us reaching to our reserved seating. The ambience inside is amazing and the place feels upscale. There is a bar in the middle of the restaurant and they offer outdoor seating too. The server was very knowledgeable, polite and helpful. The waiting time was not long and we got our food on time. The preparations we ordered were amazing and we had a great time enjoying food and spending time here. Wonderful, just purely wonderful! Beautiful restaurant and great professional staff! We started off with the burratta--smooth delicious cheese over sweet tomatoes and served with toasted crustini. It was really yummy but I didn't particularly like the sweet tomatoes but it was still really good! My table then ordered a few bottles of wine--which happened to be half off. The sommelier helped us choose the wines that would best suit our table --since we wanted to share and all were having different dishes. The wine we got was a white blend from France and it was amazing. The staff was constantly stopping by to check our glasses were full and we were taken care of. I ordered the spaghettini and meatballs and others ordered the Linguini nero. Let's just say all our plates were spotless. The pasta was savory and delicious. We all loved our food and left feeling like death from Eating too much ha. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a delicious, beautiful meal and stand up service. Wowza! I mean just the best meal I've had in a long long time. I really loved the way we entered the restaurant almost like a secret garden or a wardrobe that took us into this food paradise. The service was a little interesting! Our server wasn't as friendly especially for our first experience but that's okay! She was knowledgeable and got the job done. My husband and I could not stop finding details about the interior that was just so gorgeous. Highly recommend the carpaccio as a starter and we cannot wait to go back to try all the pastas! My husbands steak was PERFECTLY cooked and had all the right co-stars on the dish. Very lovely experience and will be going back soon! read more

Hmmm, where to start? Another Cunningham masterpiece. The interior is understated elegance, the service spoils you for other restaurants (thanks to Brandon & his crew), the food is spectacular, the wine list extensive... the prices, well if you're on a tight budget this is not the place for you. Italians do eat multi-course meals, generally at least 4 courses. So none of the menu items are intended as a stand alone meal but rather as a small part in your multi course dinner experience. The Aperol: Not real strong and a bit too much ice in my opinion, but taste-wise it is authentic. Having developed an Aperol habit during my last visit in Venice, I do fancy myself almost knowledgeable in this area... Pane: A yummy variety of bread served with nice soft butter and a dish with roasted garlic oil, a real bargain and for those concerned that they won't get full, this is a very affordable way to fill up a little, and delicious to boot. Salumi & Formaggi: You select your meats & cheeses and it comes with wonderful things to slather onto your bread. There isn't enough bread on the charcuterie board to cover all the goodies on the board. So order the above mentioned pane along with it and problem solved. Mista Capricciosa: If you like artichokes at all, you must get this dish. This salad sports half an artichoke that has been roasted or grilled or who knows what they did to it, but it has such an aromatic taste. It's a bit difficult to eat, after all the thing was just cut in half, you must take it apart yourself. Worth the trouble. Btw, the rest of the salad is no less tasty, but the artichoke steals the show. Insalate della Casa: A nice little light salad sure to please your taste buds. I did order mine without the fennel (I hate that stuff) and they were nice enough to accommodate my request. Thank you for that. Calamarate: Now this dish is not the most attractive dish on the menu, but I would say it is one of the tastiest. And for those concerned with portion sizes, it is one of the more filling dishes. Basically large pasta tubes with a very savory sausage and gravy that has a little kick to it. The line of paste then has dollops of the toppings on it, so you can either mix it all together, or savor each topping individually with some of the pasta. This way you get various tastes... like one portion with the pesto another with more of the tomato. This will be my go-to dish at Nesso's. Risotto: Nicely done, not overcooked as is often the case. The truffle and foie gras round it off nicely. It looks small due to the dish it is served in, but there is actually quite a bit to eat here. Creamy but not mushy. Stinco di Maiale Brasato: I was tempted to get it, but the name "stinco" kept me from it, to be honest. Somebody let me know how they like it please and take a picture for me. Salmone: Salmon on a bed of cabbage. Flaky perfectly seasoned salmon done to your specifications, generally served medium rare (if I remember correctly). Now what threw me off was the Hibiscus mustard. I couldn't remember what this little glob was supposed to be, but I took a hearty bite of it, which of course, I regretted immediately. This is a rather intense tasting tart mustard. Delicious in small doses. I just wasn't prepared for it... and I would have never guessed that's what it was just by tasting it. Advance carefully. Involtino di Pollo: Chicken Roulade, a long sausage-like affair, cut into slices for you. A nice light taste, a tiny little crisp on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Delicately seasoned. Tiramisu: Not the best looking dish here, actually it kind of reminded me of large Swedish meatballs slather in that gravy, just a little darker. Also please abandon all preconceived notions of Tiramisu before you bite into this. These are basically donut holes with mascarpone underneath and various coffee accents. Absolutely delicious. The different consistencies play well in your mouth. The melt in your mouth donut, the cripsy cocoa crumble, the springy cold brew gelee, the creamy mascarpone mousse and the ever so tasty espresso glaze... delicious. Torta di Formaggio: Butternut cheesecake... I am not a fan of this, but I don't care for pumpkin or pumpkin spice, and this has that flavor to it. Sorry. My friends loved it. Spumoni: Again, don't expect the traditional spumoni ice cream. That's not it... More a deconstruction of all the flavors contained in the ice cream. You have your pistachio, cherry and chocolate... but not all rolled together... each has it's own little spots on the plate... do with it as you please.. mush it altogether or enjoy separately. For a new restaurant they did really well, but there are a few kinks that need to be worked out yet: The billing is a little off, so check your bill. The plants are not in the best places, I enjoyed watching the staff get literal face time with one of the trees again and again. Foodless gaps between courses. Give it some time... read more

Yesterday I had dinner here, as I was traveling for work. Considering I am a foodie and love to cook, it's very difficult to impress me. I was IMPRESSED! Wow. We had several appetizers we shared: Focaccia bread, burrata, Parmesan cauliflower and the meatballs-each one competing for the most delicious one. For dinner I was torn between the Agnolotti, Cioppino and the linguine Nero. I ended up choosing the Cioppino, and it was INCREDIBLE! The sauce was more than a broth-very balanced with a hint of spice that delights you after every bite. I tried the Agnolotti my friend ordered, and wow. If you like Truffle, that is a definite yes. My other friend got the linguine Nero and said it was amazing. I'm definitely returning the next time I'm in town. The tough choice will be what to order next time ! read more

Great place. Was in the mood for Italian and came here tonight. Great choice. The Caesar salad was real, white anchovies perfect. Red leaf lettuce instead of romaine and it worked. I went gluten free on the Nero pasta with a glass of Sicilian white recommended by Cat the bartender. Excellent picante flavors. Cat also took me on an amoro adventure, with a flight of her favorite amoros. Great education. Cat knew her amaros and I learned a lot. Can't wait to find the bottles at home. This was a great dinner spot for celebrating. The inside is really nice with a pretty bar. Our servers knew the menu in and out and did amazing at explaining it! The bruschetta was delicious and very unique from most with a layer of ricotta. The lobster ravioli was fresh and so filling. The spinach pasta came with short rib and the short rib was tender & so flavorful! The prices did seem a bit steep for the amount of food you got when compared to other high end restaurants in town. read more

I was treated to a date night here and it gives you alll the vibes. It is very dimly lit and everyone is dressed nicely. You do have to find street parking so ladies get dropped off at the door. Their menu is unique and the service is awesome! Our server was well versed with their cocktails and bar as well as the food she gave us her recommendations and what she really enjoyed to drink. If you're looking for something different and a nice elegant meal try Nesso. It's in a new up and coming area of downtown so there's other things to walk to nearby. read more

We've been to Nesso a few times and it continues to be our favorite Italian restaurant in Indianapolis. Our server, Hannah, was very knowledgeable about the menu and suggested two appetizers we've never tried: the octopus and the Parmesan cauliflower. These were absolutely delicious! The wine selection never disappoints and one of our friends ordered a mezcal cocktail she said was one of the best cocktails she's had. So much so she ordered a second. Service was amazing. Ambiance was pretty nice. I came to Nesso in the summer devour last year and food was all top notch. Food was still pretty good this time but not as flawless as last time. Portions were def smaller this time too. Between me and my friends we had the meatballs, octopus, and mixed salad for apps. All were good. Meatballs were the winner. Octopus was cooked perfectly, but the meatballs were just soooo good. We had the gnocchi truffle Parmesan, lamb orecchiette, and short rib alforno. My lamb orecchiette was sooooo good. a little heat but not too much. Lamb was tender and delicious. The gnocchi was absolutely divine. Perfectly made. Delicious sauce. But we all agreed that it needed something added to it texturally. Chicken or seafood would be good, but we know this was probably meatless so it could be the vegetarian option. Any veggie would've been delicious in it. It just needed something more texturally. Taste wise it was perfect. I would've licked the plate clean if I could've. The short rib was a little disappointing. It wasn't super fall apart like you expect short rib to be. The meat had very good flavor, but we all agreed we didn't like something in the sauce, but none of us recognized the flavor to say what it was. Desserts were flawless again. Both of them were just delicious and I can never stop raving about that tiramisu. I don't like coffee but there's is such a perfect balance of dark chocolate and coffee that it's delicious. I got the panna cotta. But then got a tiramisu to go and split with a friend, my sister, brother in law, and nephew. Everyone agreed it was amazing. read more
