I ordered the Huevos Rancheros that comes with a side refried beans and a flour tortilla. To drink, I ordered coffee. There were two servers that day. Ours was the younger lady, who was not really engaged with the clientele except with some guy eating at the counter. When she delivered our food, she never offered to refill my friend's iced tea or my coffee. For almost 5 minutes I tried to get her attention without success. I got up to the counter where she continued chatting with the guy eating at the counter. I mentioned that I wanted more coffee, I was told that they had ran out and if I wanted decaf. She shook the thermos and she said that she still had some coffee left. I also told her that on the menu my meal included a tortilla. She never apologized for the lousy service. Very disappointing.

In fact The Shed was so good, we went back for a repeat meal the next day. I ordered a slice of quiche and could barely make a dent in the quiche - look at the size of that! The quiche was also pure perfection. The Shed does excellent food, and so they are usually very busy. Despite the amount of patrons, the servers are excellent and quick to get you in and out, while having an incredible food experience. So good, I wonder if they would do delivery to Denver...

The experience was so good, we went back again on Sunday--our last night in town. That says everything. On Thursday, we had the salmon--exceptional, perfectly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully plated. On Sunday, we tried their steak and shrimp, which was equally outstanding. Both nights, the food was superb. But here's what really impressed me: I tried the beer tasting flight for the first time, and I actually liked every single beer. That's never happened to me before. Whoever curates their selection knows what they're doing. Our server, Gabe, was excellent -- attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. He made both visits feel special. Pecan Grill and Brewery delivers on every level: outstanding food, exceptional beer selection, and hospitality that makes you want to come back. If you're in Las Cruces, this place is a must-visit. We'll definitely return.

They carefully packed the chicken nachos with the topping separate, so they wouldn't be soggy when we got to our hotel. The food was filling, flavorful, and fast. They also had some cool merch. It was so nice to have such friendly folks greet me. If passing through again, we'd stop for a beer and a meal.

The board - Pretzel Pasto - came with a variety of cheeses and meats which are changed up frequently by the chef, so definitely ask what will be on the board if you have allergies or preferences. Fruits and delicious olives were also part of the board as was some very tasty queso. Topping it all off was the chocolate chips that melted by being embraced by the baked pretzel - delightful. This is a great board that can actually be your meal for the evening. When in Las Cruces, you must try all things that have green chile, since the board did not come with chiles, we had to order the mac and cheese. Of course this was amazing and I considered ordering a second bowl for the table. Our server was very friendly and checked in on us often. He was very accommodating when we asked to exchange the raspberries on our charcuterie platter for a different item. The Pretzel Pasto is amazing! A giant pretzel serves as the vessel for the chef's selection of meats and cheeses, along with fresh fruit, chocolate chips that melt like frosting on the hot pretzel, and gooey delicious queso. We also split a small bowl of the green chile mac and cheese and regretted not getting a larger bowl. For dessert, the creme brulee bombo was unlike anything I have had--an Italian puffed donut filled with cream, but this cream was bruleed on top with a thick, crisp layer like creme brulee, so it was like having two desserts in one.
