I needed a very specific printing job, something I couldn't get done at the library, and there weren't many nearby places that could help. After some Googling, I came across NEON and decided to call. Teddy answered and immediately scheduled a time to help me out. Even though I wasn't able to make it on the originally scheduled day, Teddy went above and beyond and came in on a day when the space was already booked for an event and very busy. He helped me get everything done quickly and efficiently. This was also around the holidays, so I'm especially grateful for the extra effort. NEON is a co-working space, but it has such a friendly, down-to-earth vibe. I really appreciate their flexible pricing model. You can pay for a day pass ($25) or by the hour ($5), which makes it affordable without feeling locked into a subscription you have to constantly justify. I'll definitely be coming back to do work here more often, meet people, and enjoy the amenities. There's even an outdoor space, which is a great bonus. Neon has been such a great co-working space for me when I need a change of pace from my normal home office, and when I need to sit down and focus on getting work done. I luckily live walking distance so it's easy for me to get to. They charge $5 an hour for Wifi (or $25 a day), which I think is totally reasonable since there is unlimited coffee included, and I'd probably pay that or more at a coffee shop anyway. They have tons of outlets, and even offer chargers, mouse, keyboard, monitors if needed. If you are here during lunch time, there is a ton of great restaurants nearby to eat at or pick up food to eat while you work. I have a dog, and it's nice that they are super dog friendly! They even have an outdoor space in the back, but I typically sit inside with my dog. I am so happy that a place like Neon exists!! read more

Came here for a 222 event with zero idea what to expect--and it turned out to be such an unexpectedly amazing experience! Our instructor, Maya, was a total gem. She specializes in sculpting these adorable little monster figurines (seriously, so cute), which is exactly what we got to make. The process was definitely time-intensive, but so satisfying and worth every second. Honestly, I wish we had more time--I could've kept sculpting all day. Our group was seated outside on the patio, which comfortably fit everyone. The weather was chef's kiss--sunny with a touch of breeze, perfect for hanging out and getting creative. They ordered pizza for the group (yes please), and while coffee was provided... let's just say it was there for moral support more than flavor. All in all, this place was such a fun and refreshing change of pace. I'm obsessed with the whole concept and would absolutely love to come back--just not sure in what capacity yet. I stumbled upon Neon and attended one of their monthly FREE events in the evening called Illuminate, which included 4 speakers each giving very interesting 5 minute talks (for those of you with short attention spans) on completely different but important topics. During the day, they are primarily a co-working space. They have a few different pricing options, include a pay by the hour option for those not looking to make any sort of commitment and just drop in here and there. As the weather gets nicer, I hope to spend more time in the spacious garden they have in the back! What really distinguishes Neon is that they describe themselves as "more than just a workspace, we're a neighborhood hub for connection, innovation, and community" and I think the Illuminate event really exemplifies this, bringing people together to exchange contact info, ideas, and fun stories. NEON is fantastic, not just because the space is perfect for events, but because of the incredible staff that truly cares! I've worked with NEON for 5+ events, and Teddy consistently delivers and ensures the event goes smoothly. Outside of events, I've also used NEON for coworking - I work remotely so it's perfect for my needs. I met up with a coworker - the space is great for collaboration. There's also some semi-private booths for phone calls. We didn't use the garden space since it was a little cold at the time, but I love that they host events there. read more

NEON is my absolute favorite place to work remotely in the city. The prices are so affordable, especially considering the free coffee and the high speed WiFi! The garden patio is beautiful and a wonderful place to sit with my laptop on a sunny afternoon. On Fridays there's delicious breakfast burritos for sale too! Everyone who works here is really friendly, and I appreciate that taking calls in the space is expressly permitted with headphones - I don't feel awkward needing to hop on a video call occasionally, and there's phone booths indoors and plenty of space in the garden to avoid disrupting others. I'm so happy this place exists! It's a much better alternative to membership based coworking spaces for me and now I look forward to when meetings bring me into the city on weekdays. read more

Because I don't fit the demographic fell free to ignore my experience, as this stuff probably won't bother you, Work booths need wider ledge, barely room for laptop, sound baffling would be nice. People don't respect others, ignore the 'respect your buddies headphones please" signs, which need to be posted by EVERY station. Will return if I buy some noise canceling headphones, which hurt my head, so working at Starbucks will have to suffice for now. Or forgive the idea, actually work from home! read more

Neon is a great alternative to traditional co working spaces like we work . It's certainly more intimate. I arrived around 10:30 am on a Wednesday and most of the "comfortable" seats were taken so I soaked up sun morning sun at the table outside. An optional sun umbrella would be great to cover screen glare. Sightglass coffee, tea and water are available for free all day- though the coffee did not taste good to me, burntish. The main room has an array of couches, tall tables, and regular family style tables to choose from as well as a few open air "cubbies" to take calls from. I don't think there are any private rooms available. So bring headphones if you can focus when others take calls around you. Teddy the owner was a super nice guy and chatted regularly with neighbors and clients. They have a few tablet sized displays you can use for your Laptops, plenty of outlets, and support local artisans by selling their pieces. There's also a secret garden in the back that looked a bit too chilly for me though they mentioned they had space heaters available. They host events at night regularly for a fee, sometimes there or elsewhere (comedy, open mic etc). Plenty of lunch options nearby on union st. Overall very cute spot, $5/hr or $25 for the day, but for 25 a day I'd love to see them get some complimentary snacks and a few private call rooms, and the ability to reserves a seat in advance (maybe cap it at 5 seats per day so there's plenty of walk in space). read more

I really love this coworking space. There's some items that they sell to the right when you just enter and there's booths and chairs for you to work or study. There's also a secret garden area in the back that during good weather it feels like a hidden oasis. I came here recently for a workshop (they rent out their space!) and the staff were really efficient in preparing the space and making sure the guests and hosts were comfortable. The only downside is that there's no noise suppression or noise cancelling so if there's someone talking right outside the entrance, it can be very distracting. read more

We used NEON for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Very cute indoor and outdoor space tucked away on Union. Pamela, Teddy, and Ivan were gracious hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing event. They take care of cleanup and teardown (we had to ensure our trash was in garbage bags and leftover food/beverage was taken away). Our guests were raving about the eclectic indoor decorations and outdoor patio area. Plenty of storage for drinks between a large fridge, mini fridge, and 2/3 large coolers. Drinking water is available onsite but they don't have large jugs, so would recommend bottled water to brining your own jugs. The one bathroom onsite was fully stocked and enough for our party of 75 guests. I would recommend hiring an external vendor/TaskRabbit if you need day-of coordination/service read more

If you work from home, this place is the answer. Neon is a gift to the neighborhood and everyone who works from home. Ever since I started working from home, I have been hoping for something like Neon to come into existence. I have an unpredictable work schedule and can't commit to a monthly membership model (which literally every coworking space except Neon requires), so Neon's drop in model is absolutely perfect and is totally reasonably priced. The space is big, colorful, and has a great energy to it. Plus, it's dog friendly (huge plus!), has free coffee and tea included in the drop in rate, and has a huge backyard where you can also work on sunny days. read more

We used NEON for an event covering transit policy and were more than pleased with the outcome. The space is located in a part of town that's convenient for guests and attendees and offers a number of options for dinner/drinks before or after an event. NEON itself is stylishly appointed and is a fun, versatile layout for most types of social gatherings, networking events, panel discussions, lectures, etc. Everything you could need in terms of equipment and furniture is available. The staff, led by Teddy, goes above and beyond to work with you so that your event is a success. Neon is a cool work space by day...bright, clean, cheerful that is free to hang out in, but internet access is $5/hr or $25/day. It is airy and comfortably appointed with Neon light accents, right in the middle of Union Street in Cow Hollow (why do they call this area Cow Hollow? I have never seen a Cow here in this or last century). And it is a community or rental event space as well, particularly at night, in the beautiful rear garden. If you're not a walk-in, the Union street garage is on the same block. There are free refreshments, and free cookies on Friday? I went to an evening event on 7/7/23 from 5:30 to 7:30p, where Neon and a new store a couple of blocks down, NikoNiko Gifts, combined to sponsor a "Taste of Tea" event, where you could learn and taste Taiwan grown teas from Silk and Jade Teahouse, and Pineapple cakes from JasonBakesSF, and get Tea Leaf Readings from Golden Dragon Fortunes! We hosted our toddler birthday party at Neon and had a great experience. The owner/manager, Teddy, was flexible, easy to work with, and communicative. They were able to tailor the space to our party's needs, amenable to whatever kinds of food or entertainment we wanted to bring in, and remained onsite to make sure everything went smoothly for our party of ~40 kids and adults. UPS left my package somewhere for me to pickup (I swear they're getting lazier with deliveries), and it ended up being at Neon. I was greeted by Mike, who offered me a delicious Brigadeiro chocolate chip cookie and a quick tour of the space since I was curious. He described Neon as a community space - free to use; just pay for WiFi access ($5/hour or $25/day). The space is beautifully designed, there's free Sightglass Coffee, and the "Secret Garden" yard area was nice and peaceful. There were also 3 phone booths to use (though there are no doors to close). It looks like they're going to be holding community events like trivia night, and they also showcase products from local vendors (like the chocolate chip cookies). We really like working out of the Neon space. The space is clean, the staff is extremely friendly and nice and the ambience is great and full of light. The internet is fast and I love they have the phone booths to take calls / meetings. This is an amazing space to go and work out of. One of my organizations comes here to host event and I thought it would be fun to go and study here just to see what it's like. I really recommend this to students and people who have to work from home because the Wi-Fi is fast and there is space for both people who are studying together and people who are by themselves. We hosted a wedding afterparty here with around ~80 guests and in short: NEON blew our expectations. It's such a unique place with incredible decor and a beautiful backyard. We were even able to get a dance floor installed in the backyard for performances, a photo booth for pictures, and lighting and decorations everywhere! There was more than enough space for a raging party. It was so memorable and I'm honestly so glad we didn't go with another option (and we looked EVERYWHERE). Wedding events are always high anxiety because everything has to be just right but the couple absolutely *loved* it and everybody had a wonderful time. The venue is special, but it isn't nearly as special as the host: Teddy. He was truly instrumental in getting everything to work on our tough timeline. We had an amazing experience hosting our baby shower at the NEON. We had about 75 people (including 20 kids) and the space could not have have been more perfect for our event. We loved that there was a large indoor space where we could host games and activities but also a beautiful garden that was able to seat everyone for lunch. Teddy was extremely accommodating, very helpful with all our questions and with catering the space to our wishes. Our guests had a great time and kept saying how much they loved the space! We had a successful weeknight social here for our organization. It was the perfect location, size and the owner made things incredibly easy for all of us. We ended up having 40 people, but we were anticipating 65. The indoor space works with a variety of sizes as either would have been just fine. We really appreciated his help.
