This would be a 5 star but for one thing. We made a resv a month before to bring friends here & specifically requested a table "indoors", NOT the porch. When they brought us to our table they go straight to the porch ( which is super hot especially on a wk where temps were over 90 every day for 6 days)! So as we feel the heat wave hit us we say "no, too hot, we specifically requested....". Were told "no one made a note of that request". So we waited 45 min for a table. After we got our table, there were no problems (thus the 4 star): service was lovely. Had 2 apps: lobster egg roll & calamari...both great! Entrees: 2 of us had Chilean sea bass w homemade gnocchi (perfectly made), w artichokes and a white truffle cream sauce--heaven on a plate! Another loved their chicken marsala & my hub had the scallops and said also perfect (not overcooked/rubbery). So the kitchen & server redeemed the restaurant! read more

Perfection. We have never had a bad meal here. The steaks and martinis are our favorite. Go for the pomegranate martini and add a compound butter to your steak. The menu is expensive but you will not be disappointed. I would consider this the best place to enjoy a steak on the west side. Servers are always personable and attentive. read more

Love this place. Everything is delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant is in an old home so it's super cozy inside with its different rooms. Could be a nice date spot. I've had several dishes there including the sea bass, scallops, salmon, the gnocchi app, etc. Everything I've had there I really liked. We like to go here for birthdays and special occasions - only because it's a ways away from us. The gnocchi is amazing. I almost always get the sea bass - which is cooked perfectly every time. They changed their menu and now have different sides with the sea bass but were willing to make it the old way for me if I wanted. Love this place. Definitely a must if you're in the area. read more

Now let me say this very loud. Yummmmmmmmmmm i mean the atmosphere was great. We sat in the outside enclosed area. Candles were lit. Fr the bread the butter had garlic taste. Ordered wine and scotch. Yumm the salad was well plated to your liking. My eating mate order fillet meion . I order prime sorloion. The mash potatos side was invested in butter so good. The watress was sweet. More on upscale outting.. But worth the money. They put love into all you eat.. People near us got scallops those looked above yummm. I will be back ty for that night read more

I really love the food here. It's my husband's favorite place in Avon and he likes to take me there for special occasions. From the rotating daily specials such as that green goddess soup to my favorite, sea scallops, everything is delicious, always. Sorry, but I had to take off a star because every single time I've been there, no matter if we have a reservation and are dressed well to coming off the street looking like bums we're always at a table facing the kitchen and outside garbage from the window, even if there are tons of tables available. Unbelievable. I'd rather sit at the bar, which always seems like a jovial place but a little too active for a relaxing dinner. Still would be better than watching the wait staff the entire time and hearing about their jobs and watching them on the phone. Bad ambience, at this point I'll bet on it. read more

The perfect night for dinner on the patio. We did have a bit of a wait for a first come first serve table at the patio, about a sip of a martini. The veal medallions and lasagna were excellent. Wow we had a fantastic experience here between the drinks and apps and customer service, you can't go wrong. We ate out on the patio and it was unique. Got a great big Martini that I couldn't finish. The food was fabulous. We were in town for a medical procedure the next day. The menu looked great and the reviews were great. We were not disappointed. I had the Fettuccine with lobster and it was tender and so flavorful. My husband had the duck and it just melted in his mouth. The service was exceptional. Went on a Sunday nite, Shamous was knowledgeable and made some great suggestions. It was half price bottle night so I had to have a bottle of wine. Steak came out to temp and the presentation was beautiful. The lobster bisque was full of chunks of lobster and the pear salad was on point. I look forward to bringing my GF back for a full dining experience in the restaurant. I got dessert to go cause I was stuffed full. The location is on the corner right across from Avon brewing CO. The food was amazing. I had a steak with just an amazing compound butter topping on it and my wife had the short ribs. Just incredible, I liked how the entrees came with sides. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted even better. The sides were to die for too, the whipped potatoes and green beans were excellent. I tried Nemo years ago and was underwhelmed then, I was hoping for a better experience this time. It was not busy, and we were sat at a small corner table that set out in the doorway and I couldn't even pull my chair out without hitting the gentleman behind me. After about 15 mins, the waiter saw this and offered us another table which was kind of him. The Lobster Bisque...meh, and was quite thin. The rolls were crisp and I loved the butter. I was in the mood for a steak, but tried the waiter's suggestion of veal scallopini instead, and my BF had the lasagna. The veal was tender and the portions were good, however, my meal was so salty...yikes. We tried dessert, and it had a bad strawberry topping and was drowned in dark chocolate sauce. Primarily seems to be a steakhouse with some Italian staples on the menu, ordered the braised short rib and campanella pasta with blush sauce and chicken as well as some salads and everything was sensational. This is an upscale restaurant in Avon which always has excellent service and food. However recently they decided to decrease the amount of their upscale cocktails but kept the upscale price. The cocktails are always great but when you decide to go to a smaller (6oz) martini glass from a 10oz glass but keep the price there is something wrong. As an upscale restaurant in the local area I would expect the same service with regard to food/drinks/service. This is not a bar/grill restaurant so why would they decide to decrease the size of their cocktails to bar /grill size? The bar/grill down the street serves the same size for half the price. It was just ok to me. The lobster fettuccine was not what I expected. I thought lobster pieces would be mixed within the pasta. Instead there was a very small piece of lobster on top, which was not cooked thoroughly. My husband had the short ribs which he seemed to enjoy alot. The wedge salad was very tasty. read more

My experience was from 2019 and they may have improved since then. Looking at the reviews, perhaps they have or people or just generally oblivious. But when I went, the moment you enter the building you're hit with a thick stink of bad seafood. The meal wasn't very good as that is all I can remember of it. Plus, the light fixtures and other areas of the facility had extremely thick layers of dust. We were concerned the dust from the overhead light was going to fall on our food. I suppose this is why they keep the lights dimmed and try to keep you liquored up. I genuinely envy those that had a great experience because Nemo Grill is more expensive than they deserve to be for what they are presenting. read more

They should make it a staple on the menu. Entree Special - Mojo Pork Chop - Perfect. Normally I reach for the salt and pepper when meat arrives on the table. Not needed in this case. Served with Mom's mashed potatoes, and better than Mom ever made Brussel Sprouts. Second Entree was Chillean Sea Bass, excellent as well. Asparagus with pasta, both excellent. What a fabulous evening!! The service was amazing, the pace of the dinner was not rushed and we had time to enjoy our food. The server was quite knowledgeable and was able to answer questions about wine pairing and specific food preparation practices. Our water glasses were never empty. Everyone in our party enjoyed fabulous drinks, a delicious dinner and wonderful service. We recently had dinner at another local spot- and many of the same menu items were served there, but HANDS DOWN- Nemo's was far superior in all aspects. No question that we will be back. read more

Had high hopes for this experience but it turned out to be very disappointing. The food was middling at best. The 8 dollar lobster bisque was microwaved. Cold in some bites, hot in others. Was overly buttery, like sipping a stick of butter. Speaking of butter, the butter for the bread was terrible. Some sort of onion or ranch infused butter. You may like it, I personally would have much rather had regular butter. They were out of the drink I ordered. The water they serve is room temp, no ice. The restaurant is so dark you can barely see the menu. It's also very cramped and loud. Steak was so underdone it was actually cold in the middle. For the price you pay, you'd be much happier somewhere else. read more
