I had the pleasure of working with Chad at my previous job and his professionalism, kindness, and character led me to contract his services for my master vanity counter top. Chad was responsive and came out to template my vanity see my existing tile and take my vanity sink to mount it to the stone. He helped us pick out beautiful stone that perfectly accented our bathroom, tying in the colors in our tile, floors and overall desired look. He preinstalled the sink and came to install the stone. It fit perfectly and his entire team was kind, respectful and professional. There are some bad reviews on here about Chad; his professionalism is unbeatable, his quality is superb, and his service is personal. You do not get these things in larger outfits. I would highly recommend Chad and his team. We will be using him to remodel our kitchen, and my parents will be using him to remodel theirs. Thanks Chad!!! read more

I've never written a review before but felt a need to do this. I would never use Chad Nelson again! The work Chad's people did was nice, no complaints. However, was highly disappointed in Chad as he didn't keep his word and I believe your word is your integrity. The crew had to pull out six plugs to install the backsplash. As the crew was leaving I ask them to put the plugs back in as they were just left dangling. They said Chad would do it the next day as they need the cement and grout to dry to prevent movement. I thought it made sense. The next day when Chad showed up to collect the money I pointed out the plugs were still hanging out of the wall. He said he doesn't put them back that I would have to call someone else. Two weeks later I had to pay someone and additional $85.00 to put the plugs in. I've talked to other tile installers and no one else has this policy. I felt he lied to me. He also said he would drill 2 holes in my granite for soap dispensers which he never did, another lie. But the reason I started this review is because I have asked him 4 or 5 times for an invoice for the work he did and I paid for and have never received it. Chad at Nelson Tile helped us pick out the slabs at Arizona tile. He laid out the sheets to flow the grain across the entire counter top. We loved the granite installation so much we brought them back for the back splash. His crews are friendly, neat and very skilled. All the edges and joins line up perfectly. I met with Chad at my house to get a kitchen backsplash quote. He provided a reasonable quote, and was very professional during this interaction. I replied by text message the following day interested in hiring his team for the project with some questions but I didn't get a response - this was a week ago. Since then, I have sent him several text messages, 3 missed calls and voicemails but still no reaponse. In the meantime, the tile I wanted installed is now out of stock and won't be availabe for at least a month. If this is due to an emergency or personal matter that kept you from responding then I understand, otherwise this is completely rude and unprofessional to leave a potential client hanging. read more

Last November we contracted with Nelson Tile for a partial kitchen remodel. Chad and his crew did new kitchen counters, backsplash, sink and faucet, and tile flooring. My kitchen is amazing! Chad helped me choose our granite and backsplash. It looks fabulous! His fabricators are second to none. There is one seem in the entire kitchen where they bookended the granite. It is stunning! See pictures. The floor tile guys were perfectionists. The project was done on time with the exception of one day of delay due to rain. Chad promised they'd be done in time for Thanksgiving and they were out of here the Monday before. We could not be happier with the results and highly recommend Nelson Tile. I had Chad and his crew install a kitchen back splash and decorative insert. We had a couple tricky corners but they did a great job. The crew showed up when they said they would, were very professional and affable. There was a mix up in some of the ordered material, but they solved it right away in as efficient manner as possible (came back a couple days later to finish the job when the material came in). Chad himself did the estimating, made some good design suggestions, and came afterward to inspect the job. He even fixed a couple of small items right there to make sure we were happy with the job. Our toilet had been leaking, so I wanted to replace it. Problem was all new toilets are taller than this one, and there was a small section of countertop over it. In order to replace, we needed to replace the counter. I had a slab of granite left over from our kitchen counters years ago, so I called up Arizona Tile and they provided a list of fabricators. Nelson was showing as being fairly close by, so I called and spoke to Chad, who was able to come out that day and take a look and give me an estimate. He had his guys come out a few days later and get the granite and the sink I had ordered, and took a few more days to fabricate it. When they came to put it in, they had to move the mirror up just a tiny bit to fit the back splash on the wall, The granite counter came back beautifully done, and was installed perfectly. The sink took a few tries to get straight, but it did eventually. I love the way it turned out, and now I can replace that toilet! All in all, I am very pleased with these guys, and would certainly recommend them. read more

I was staying with my mom and step dad when Chad Nelson of Nelson Tile installed a custom tile floor in their living and dining rooms. They weren't sure what they wanted to do except that they wanted tile (both rooms had carpet). He gave them some great design suggestions. For example, they have an open floor plan, but wanted to differentiate the rooms. He suggested laying the tile diagonally in both the living room and dining room (the tile in the kitchen and entry are laid straight). In the dining room the ceiling is coffered and octagon in shape. Chad suggested mimicking the ceiling on the floor with an inlaid octagon border. They took all of his suggestion and the finished product is beautiful and the tile was cut, laid, and matched perfectly! Additionally, he and his crew were friendly and professional, the job was finished on time, they cleaned up the mess, and for custom work his price was very reasonable. My step dad said several times that Chad Nelson is a true craftsman and after seeing the installation and finished product both my mom and I agree. My wife and I weren't too sure what kind of tile we wanted or even the color. Fortunately we chose to have Chad Nelson give us an estimate and some ideas. During Chad's first visit he looked at the colors in our house and what floors we wanted tiled. (Almost the entire house except the bedroom floors.) On Chad's second visit he brought several different samples and we were able to chose a nice Travertine that went great with the rest of our house. Chad and his employees did a great job, his communication was awesome, and his employees were great to have in our house. Due to the size of our job Chad and his men spent a lot of time alone in our house and we had no problems at all leaving them alone. Chad is the kind of guy you will want not only as your craftsman but also as a friend and dinner guest. During the flooring my wife and I also decided to have Chad tile the back splash in our kitchen, tile a guest shower, and design a custom tile frame around the guest bathroom mirror. Since the completion of the project we have had guests and family members tell us how much they loved the colors, the designs, and the overall quality of Chad's tile work. We have recommended Chad to numerous friends and co-workers who have all told me how nice it was to work with Chad. My wife and I have been looking to update our 2 bathroom and kitchen counter tops for a couple of years now from tile to granite. We looked up 4 different contractors and got 4 bids. Chads came in 2nd from the lowest, what seperated him from the others was he was very customer service oriented and very opened minded to what we were looking for. We chose the granite and he suggested a tumble stone tile backsplash to assent the granite. It turned out fantastic. His crew is very professional, the work area was kept clean during the construction. We are so pleased with the outcome we asked him to redo the master bathroom, we took out the bathtub and he replaced it with a custom tile shower stall and tile floor which complimented the granite counter top he put in. Our friends and guests loved the finished results. We are now ready to have the second bathroom to be retiled and Chad is the only person and crew I will go to to have this done.
