I've purchased glasses and contacts from this location and everything is done in such in orderly fashion. You put your order in and they would actually text/call you to let you know that your prescription is ready. They are pretty quick too. I think the longest i waited for both glasses and contacts was a week. The team members that assisted me were Brenda and Valerie. Brenda is the best. She helped me to pick out the best look and fit for me. The prices for their lenses are awesome. I actually purchased a six month supply of contacts for 89 dollars. I have Kaiser insurance (svp) so im not sure if that played a role in it but that was cheap. I decided to bring my mom to get an eye exam and to purchase a pair a glasses as well. My only complaint is that every time I make an appointment and arrive on time they are running late by 15 mins plus-today 30 mins. Each of the 3 times I have been it's been the same. If they are running late at least have the courtesy to call and if a customer is late for their appointment then they have to reschedule or wait so it doesn't impact people who are on time. I've been going to Dr. Jun since I moved to Cali 9 years ago. He is always pleasant and patient when you're in his chair. At the same time, he seems to still get through his patients quickly. As a walk in, I believe my total time was 30 minutes on a Monday afternoon. The assisting staff is also quite nice. They weren't quick to answer the phone, but if they're with a patient, I don't expect them to stop what they're doing to take my call either. They will make an appointment for you, but walk ins are welcome and are squeezed in with no issue. read more

This optician is located inside the Inglewood Costco. We were traveling and my son tells me that he needs contacts because he only packed enough for the trip and one fell out. Ugh! Luckily they were just down the street from where we were staying for the weekend. As I walked in, the secretary and doctor were talking. They immediately focused on me as I entered, so that was nice. I wasn't sure if he was a customer or what, but it soon became apparent that he was the optician. I told the secretary my predicament. The optical department didn't have my son's prescription in stock and would have to order them. However, sometimes that opticians will carry starter sets. She glanced up to the doctor with a grin to see what his response would be. He asked me to get a print out of my son's prescription so he could verify what we needed and see if he had it in stock. I returned with it and he opened a few drawers with various starter contact boxes in his exam room. After flipping through a couple drawers, he turned around with a box. He said, "This is my last box of this prescription". Few! My son could see for the next day until we got home. Although this was not our regular optician since we were traveling, Dr. Nelson gladly took care of my son's needs. Very much appreciated! Keep on Yelp'n! read more

Uh...this is my FIRST negative experience with Costco. Well, not actually Costco. He's an independent contractor inside of the Inglewood Costco. I made an appointment for 10:30. Apparently, they give EVERYBODY the 10:30 appointment. WOWZERS!!! I'm not unto the cattle-call style doctor's appointment. Maybe that's fine for some people. But, personally, I prefer establishments that honor their word to you, as well as honor your time. So sad this type of treatment persists in areas with people of color. Works at the Costco Optical department in Inglewood, CA. Review is for getting a prescription for some glasses which is $49. Quick Review: Great doctor who knows what he's doing. The man is very courteous and knows what he's doing. Always professional and gentle whenever I come and see him (which has been like 3 times in 6 years). Full Review: If you need to come and see this doctor be sure to make an appointment or else the wait times could be never if everyone's makes their appointment. When you come in paperwork is done and you wait to do initial tests. I call them the "balloon focus" test, "air puff to the eye", and "find the wiggle". Soon after the doc comes to get you and you sit in the room. Very professional and courteous he always offers you his hand for a shake. Next up comes the viewing of the letters mixed in with some "what looks better 1 or 2" answering. It's cool for you to ask him to switch back and forth if you can't decide the first time. After he gets your optimal prescription he does his "flashlight in the eye" test to check for problems. And that's it! All done. read more

Went yesterday for the first time and I loved the service there! The place is located inside the Inglewood Costco BTW! My appointment was at 3:15pm and I only waited 10 minutes to get checked out! Dr. Jun is very nice and he was very understanding! My eye exam for just glasses was $59 which is not that bad. Also something you might consider is the place. The location is small, they have about three seats, but the waiting is minimal so that's good! In addition, Costco sells glasses (you need a membership for it though) and they are relatively inexpensive! My glasses were $185 with transitional lenses, while my mom's were $400 (including eye exam) at our local optometrist! read more

Trash. Waited forever for an appointment, actual exam went fine. however when I needed a copy of my prescription two months later I called no less than four times before anybody picked up before finally being told that the only way I can get a copy of my prescription was by FAX. In 2019. Fine. After going down there and getting a copy of my prescription I asked him for a recommendation of an eyeglass store and he happily referred me to lyncom optical which would have been great if they hadn't gone out of business three months earlier. Honestly some of the worst customer service I've ever seen and my vision is awful, would not recommend. read more

Good to know other's have been so pleased with the service/quality they received. I have not been as pleased and have decided to get my eye care elsewhere. I have ordered glasses and contact lenses and my prescription has been incorrect repeatedly. The last glasses and contact lenses I received are far too strong and I am unable to see properly with them. The glasses were quite costly and they are useless. I have gone back to my previous glasses, which are not really presentable, due to some chipping of the metallic paint. The contact lenses are too strong as well. Very frustrating. One thing I will say in Dr. Jun's favor is that he will allow you to try out a pair of contacts for a week or so to be sure that you are comfortable with them. The only problem is I was not comfortable with ANY of the choices he gave me and I just settled for the one that was the least poor. Ultimately, I was not pleased. read more

Dr. Jun is great. He's very pleasant, courteous, and thorough. He's prompt. I've never had to wait for any longer than a few minutes at most. His staff is very professional and the office is immaculate. I will stick with him for as long as he is in business. read more

It took me about 2 weeks to get rid of. He always tries to make his patients feel comfortable; he likes to small talk. I absolutely love him! He's always really nice and informative. I have been coming to Dr. Nelson since I was in the 6th grade, so that was about 9 years ago. The receptionist is great and friendly, she taught me how to put on my very first pair of contacts many many years ago. He's a great doctor and I've never gone elsewhere for any optical needs , I got an infection once last year and he was super helpful, he prescribed some eye drops that cured my eye a day later. Also, over the years sometimes I forget to place an order for my contacts on time, and I use a specific brand of contacts that Costco doesn't have on the shelf so it has to be ordered. this has happened to me twice if I'm not mistaken. So this one time I was down to my last pair and I was really lagging on going to order more, I get lazy :( it's been 9 years so cut me some slack, any way so I'm down to my last pair and then one of them rips and I was going camping that weekened !! I couldn't go without contacts because going on hikes with glasses on is just really annoying and I have pretty bad vision so it's not like I can be without glasses to see because I'm like a 4.75 in one eye and a 5.50 in another eye, so it's not just to look cute or look cool that I wear glasses. So I get there and I ask the receptionist if by any chance they have in stock the contacts that I use, unfortunately like I thought, they didn't have any, I explained the situation to her of my upcoming trip and the doctor gave me a spear in the meanwhile that I my order came in, free of charge. That was very nice of him , he didn't have to do that , so I thought that was great that I didn't have to go with blurry vision and thick glasses on my camping trip :) All in all he's great and very nice ! read more
