Very confident in the care I receive at Dr. Gould's office compared to ever-changing mall staffs.

Good doctor, nice office, but the crown jewel of the experience is the handsome / charming office tech.

Chronic stress can do a lot to the eyes , and I never really pursued the situation until my eyes kept wandering causing massive migraines , vomiting and even inability to see light on phones or even dark to light - I went in for a routine eye exam, which then turned into a very thorough exam, which made me feel really taken care of , we discussed every single one of my concerns, and she didn't rush me at all, and because she didn't rush me, funny enough a lot of my symptoms fit perfectly into the new neurolenses - I trusted her, even though the price was quite high, and I am my first week wearing glasses for the first time in my life, and I can't even believe how I was living without these. If anyone's reading this, definitely get your eyes checked because if I didn't, I probably would've done further damage to my eyes

Other doctors either brushed me off or told me it was just aging. Dr. Patel was the first to truly listen, take my MS into account, and work with me to find real solutions. Thanks to her treatments and care, my vision has improved so much without glasses. She and her staff are kind, compassionate, and genuinely care about their patients. I'm so grateful I found her. Highly recommend to anyone who feels like they're running out of hope.

The economic payoff for Robbins is much higher in billing through medical insurance. When I complained, they said they would deduct the $50 co-pay from my bill so I would not see a difference--the first of many lies. Bills after two years, I called them on an $80 balance and paid $60 to end the BS; they "waived" the $20, or so they said. Another three years, and they send a $20 bill every three months. Today I paid the "waived $20 to end their larceny. How desperate is this operation? They spent three years collecting $20, which they had waived. Do not fall for the BS coming out of this place. Stay away. You have been warned. As far as service, I would never buy their high-priced glasses; I would go blind them go to Robbins again

The office is one big room divided by small partitions. My exam was done basically in the hallway because there was no room. When Dr. Noecker came into the exam room, he said "You know how this goes, right?" Well, no I don't. I'm not an ophthalmologist and it was going to be my first surgery of any kind. He explained the procedure to me, but not the possible problems that may occur during or after the surgery. I read his reviews on other sites & saw a lot of "1 stars" with major complaints so I have decided to cancel my surgery and go with another ophthalmologist.

I had a broken shoulder surgically repaired last week, my dominant/writing hand. My arm is immobilized. I asked if there was another way I could provide the information because I was left-handed and would have trouble filling out the paperwork. The person I was speaking to went around the corner to ask someone else and I heard her say 'he can fill it out with his right hand.' I walked around the corner and said, 'you've got to be kidding me, there's no other way I can provide this information to you? What if someone has a disability, how would they do this?' The response was 'Their aid would fill it out.' I just took my insurance card and id and left while saying, 'or perhaps you could have provided the paperwork in advance, provide it electronically, or let me answer the questions verbally like every other office has been able to do.' I've had multiple first-time office visits in the past few weeks due to the broken shoulder. Very hard for me to politely explain how obnoxious and unnecessarily rude this was. Not to mention how out of line the response to the disability question was.

Accompanying my wife for her follow up visit after her procedure which took place last year, our appointment time was completely ignored by his office. After waiting an hour without anyone contacting us, we asked the receptionist for information as to why there was such a delay. No information was provided. Returning to the waiting area wondering what to do, the doctor was leaving one of his patients on the way to his next one and I learned from him that he scheduled his patient office visits in groups for a given time and then asks them to wait for him to find the time to actually see them. Basically overbooking a time slot to conform to his treatment methods. This is totally disrespectful to his patients who expect his individual attention and treatment and ignores the specific circumstances of each patient's requirements. For anyone who reads this, please consider other optometrists if you can. Since this guy joined the ReFocus group a few years ago , his patient performance rating has plummeted and my wife and I are so disappointed, wishing that we had other options following her procedure performed by him a year ago.

I give receptionist my new insurance card but she says she is not familiar with the company so she will charge me a self-pay rate. Fine. While I wait for the doctor in the patient room, her boss, the Office Manager, comes to follow up. She tells me, 'You're not a new patient (true) and this is a routine exam. You pay for the eye test at self-pay rate but IF the doctor finds something wrong and you need further testing or treatment, we'll go through insurance." Again, fine. Doctor checks my eyes and his diagnosis is "nothing new, eyes look healthy". Everything runs smoothly and 10 minutes later nurse escorts me back to the receptionist to checkout. There, I am told I owe co-pay and that they will send to insurance which will then send me a bill. Wait, doesn't this contradict what the OM just told me a few minutes earlier? So, I turn to the OM looking puzzled and reiterate that it was a routine eye test and doctor found nothing wrong. OM's reaction was startling, as if a switch had been flipped. She starts accusing me of trying to commit a fraud. A FRAUD??? And because she was wearing a mask, she raised her voice high enough to make sure everyone at the clinic heard her. The OM then, angrily shuffles through my chart and says, "You have a pre-existing condition (same for the last 7 years) and that diagnosis goes under a different insurance code. Now, how would I have known that? But as for my pre-existing condition, YOU would have known so you clearly failed to acknowledge it earlier. And to suddenly go ballistic, accusing me of fraud? Do you even know what the word means? AWFUL.
