They saw me ahead of time and took no time in doing the state inspection. They explained what needed to be done etc, that it would take up to 45 minutes. They were done in less time than that and for whatever reason gave me a discount. Four wheel drive should be $99, but they charged me $69. Receptionist was friendly and chatty. I asked if it was a family business due to the level of service. She replied that it's two families that feel like one big family. He encourages customers to buy their own oil/parts if they can to keep prices down and he makes logical recommendations for things you need and the time frame in which they need to be done. He always gets in touch with you before doing something as well. For example, during a routine oil change he looked at the tires on my car, noticed some dry rot, and called immediately to recommend new tires. He gave me some options and an hour later I had two new tires. Lastly, and this is the icing on the cake for me, Jim uses smart phones to take pictures of the things he sees so he can actually show customers what he is talking about. He is the first mechanic I've met that does that and I think it is a nice gesture on his part.

A body shop mechanic met me, went over everything he would do, and soon the Geico rep joined us, making sure I had every question answered. The body shop mechanic went around my car and noted every possible scratch and tiny dent. He was far more thorough than a car rental company! The car was ready when they promised, and it looks fantastic. I had an emailed estimate within a couple of hours, and the shop texted and emailed me during the process and when my car was ready. I had two estimates from other body shops in Frederick, and both were hundreds of dollars higher than Zamora. Perhaps that was because I asked for a self-paying estimate.

Picked up the car today and the paint had some specs in it, and they said they would wet sand it to get the specs out while I waited. It didn't work. Eric Zamora offered me $50 or $100 discount so he wouldn't have to paint the whole door again. He said the paint had a "Lifetime" guarantee. I said that's fine, I would pay the full amount. Drove the car home and then noticed that the passenger side side view mirror was melted. Literally the paint and plastic was melted.....!!!! So I called them and drove all the way back to the shop and Eric was already gone for the day, but his worker said that they looked at a picture from the front of the car and said they could see a shadow showing that the sideview mirror looked "wavey" Bull crap!!! He said they took the mirror and the door off the front passenger side to do work on the rear passenger side, and that they only put the sideview mirror in the car and that it couldn't have gotten damaged.... I said there is NO WAY that my sideview mirror could get MELTED on the top of it while it was on my car. The plastic and paint are literally melted!!! Car is in great condition except the door that had to be repaired. Now they are saying that the MELTED sideview mirror must have already been like that. No pictures of the sideview mirror damage prior to doing the work. They melted the sideview mirror at the shop. Don't know how or who, but it wasn't melted when I dropped it off....... Every place I have ever been too takes detailed pictures of a car to make sure that this exact thing doesn't happen!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. BEWARE. Dishonest. Go somewhere else.....

The service is top notch, they fit me in the same day for an oil change and tail light that was out, and they don't try to up-sell you on stuff you don't really need done (like pretty much every other garage I have been to does). Honest, timely, and expert work is why they have so many loyal customers. Yelp did not steer me wrong here! I've been to the South location too, and it has been the same excellent experience. They have done some estimates for us and even when we decided to forgo the work, not only did they not charge for the estimate, they also helped us find a reputable place for us to donate our car. Not only did Jack find me a great deal on tires (one with a rebate!), but he and his sons addressed several issues (ones that I already knew existed) that needed serious attention. To say that they went above and WAAAAAY beyond to make sure my car was fixed that day is so far understated...they even stayed late to fix these issues! There were parts they did not have in stock and Jack sent one of his sons out several times to different locations to pick up parts needed. I mean, the time, effort, and care they gave my car was amazing! Jack apologized a couple of times that it was taking longer than expected, but they were short-staffed - basically, it was just him and one son doing the mechanics, while the other son was running around town to get parts, but what a team.
