I really needed a locksmith and for a Sunday during July 4th weekend, we were a bit desperate. Not a good experience for me and will never use these guys again. You call the main number and they outsource your job to independent contractor locksmiths. Firstly, the guy they sent to me damaged my lock and now my door keys work inconsistently when I try to unlock my door and secondly he charged me $200 to unlock my front door!!!! Too expensive for inferior work and when I called to get the guy to return to recheck the lock, he promised me he would come by but he never showed up. Need a locksmith call York Lock & Key. I purchased a Key Fob Keyless Entry Remote (KR55WK49308) from USARemote on Amazon to replace my broken key. The website provided recommended lock shops but none answered in my area. When I googled the closest shops near me NELA Locksmith popped up and I told Luis I bought a third party replacement key on Amazon. He said he could not only do the blank but also the programming of the remote. I bought the two set version and he was able to cut two keys and program the devices. There was an issue that came up because my car only allowed for six keys, he was patient and kept working at it and got one key to work but not the second, he just did not give up, he used a key duplicator device on the second remote and it finally worked! I was really impressed with Luis's do diligence and get the job done attitude. I saved money by going to USARemote on Amazon and not going to the dealer and instead using NELA Locksmith! Our neighbors, who are sweet older ladies, were locked outside their apartment late at night on Easter Sunday and came to us for help. So so so informative, honest and helpful. All I really wanted was a quote honestly. I wanted to knowHow much it would cost to re-key a dead bolt lock. You see I had lost my keys and felt a little paranoid about them floating out there. I had a key from an old apartment that didn't go to anything any longer and I knew that I could have the pins in the dead bolt swapped out to fit a this key. So basically I just needed to bring the lock to a locksmith to make the old lock match a new key. I was technically looking for a store front to take the lock to. So I learned that most locksmiths are mobile and likely to charge between 65 to 95. With that said they recommended to simply pay 10 and get a dead bolt lock that I could install myself. How considerate right? Granted I still don't have it fixed yet but they just saved me Upward of 50 bucks! Uh, yay. Honest peeps. Highly recommended. read more

Good work & reasonable pricing. I got a re-key job done a few weeks back when my keys became compromised. If you ever leave your keys hanging on door and the go missing, call these guys and get a re-key if possible or new lock if it can't be changed. I also suggest getting building maintenance to re-key it again during normal business hours so they have a copy (per my lease they need to re-key).
