Have never experienced such racism and awful customer service in my entire life. I walked into the store with my brother and my mother in hopes to find prom shoes. My brother is 14 years old, as many 14 year olds, he is obsessed with cologne and will often smell them whenever he goes to any store. As my mother and I walked up the escalator I watched my brother maneuver his way to the cologne section. While watching him, I notice an old white woman look over to one of her colleagues and motion that my brother was going to pick a cologne off of the shelf and stuff it into his pocket. After she did this the worker and I made direct eye contact, she realized her racist and disgusting ways of service was caught. She was embarrassed and decided to walk away. Never in my life have I ever seen something so disgusting. We all walked out very shortly after and will never return ever again. Do better. read more

We've seriously braved Québec's -25° two Decembers ago. So much so, when we came back to NY, hubs and I laughed because once you experience that type of bone-chilling weather, you're set for anything. And visiting Montréal consecutively in back-to-back winters for 3 years now, their Winters are still cold- but not Québec cold. So what does it boil down to? A warm AF all-around bitchin coat. I set my mind up to visit Nordstrom at The Westchester, but before I even got to Aritzia (on the 2nd floor), their long puffer display coats caught my eye. Aritzia has an industrial type feel- but the warm lighting, made the store feel cozy. I was so caught up in finding a coat, I didn't even check if there's a men's section. Greeting was nice and Aiesha(?) was helpful. The shop carries their own in-house brands as well as other labels including Levi's and so many others. I'll be honest, I asked her to hold a long puffer coat I picked out because quite frankly-I didn't want to spend more than $200 on a coat. Yet considering their quality and brand- I squeamishly felt their $398.00 (excluding tax) price tag went hand in hand. However, having said that, I also wanted to look elsewhere and see if I can find a coat for a fraction of what Aritzia's coats cost- then perhaps circle back and come back here. Sure enough, I didn't see anything I liked at Nordstrom. So Aritzia was it. I know all down long coats aren't created equal. Plus I love a specific pop collar or cowl-style that suits with my style. Hubs dished out the $431 for my long yellow down coat- but it's so worth it! The only way I see this is that coats are going to be pricey if you're looking at good quality ones. Plus this is an investment for years to come. I think I'm already hooked!
