This location is the Walmart of all Neiman Marcus stores. The store's always a mess, and the majority of SA's are more interested in talking with one another than assisting customers. I suggest only coming here if you know exactly what you want, and call ahead to reserve so it's waiting by the register when you arrive. It becomes a circus in this whole mall on weekends. Worst experience ever. Ordered Zip beauty device. Cost almost 500.00. Came without charging cord and looked like product was tampered and used. I have contacted customer service for return and have gotten the run around. It has taken over six weeks and still waiting for resolution. I am writing not about the store itself, but the rotunda restaurant which is a very sunny and pleasant place to rest after / during a hard day of mall strolling. The food selections are pricey but worth it, they're very well prepared, the staff is incredibly courteous and helpful. I love the popovers with chicken broth and strawberry butter, a neiman tradition, and free with every meal. The mains are all very well prepared. Often during meals you see models sporting the latest fashions on sale in the store, using the dining area as a catwalk. Nice. read more

I am only giving this place one star because when I went to the store, to make a purchase, the associate was very pleasant and did in fact try to help me. It all went downhill from there as the items I purchased had to be shipped from another store because it was no longer available in Paramus. Firstly, my shoes NEVER arrived. I signature request was made and the shoes appeared deliver although no one ever signed for this. At first I thought the shoes may have arrived at the store since I spoke with an associate who told me that sometimes this occurs. The associate told me they would call me back after they checked. They never called back, days went by and I decided to check with my leasing office and of course no shoes. The Paramus store gave me the worst run around ever! Not only did they have me call OTHER locations were the shoe was shipped from but they also suggested I call Fedex to see what had occurred. I patiently waited about TWO weeks for someone to give me a CLEAR answer as they assured me it might have been an error on their end. After speaking with managers weeks later, they finally ask me if I want the shoes to be re-sent to me, REALLY, at this point? NO THANK YOU! I decided I would go to another department store with better customer service while everyone at this place was NOT doing their job. I was eventually told I would receive a refund and guess what, again I waited over a week for someone to actually initiate the process. I had to call back again and see what exactly was going on. I am not sure where the gap in communication, shipping, and everything is between is but it is EVIDENT that it is there as others have reviewed this store and share the same experience. I would definitely never go back or recommend, I would almost advise folks to be weary of any purchases made here because of the lack of transparency and communication. I still have no idea of what happened to my shoes and I am still waiting on a refund... I LOVE this store. The best merchandise, the best sales, the best people. Yesterday I had a very strange experience in the home area. I bought some MacKenzie Childs items and wanted to use my credit card. The salesperson said she could not take my credit card (AmEX) unless I provide my billing address. I never give out this information. She assured me I would not get any catalogs or mail from NM and that this was their policy, sorry. Well, I paid in cash but was very shocked. My coworker purchased a large ticket item at this location and noticed the discoloration and fur looked distressed, after one wear. She spoke to several mangers who loved to throw their titles around but did nothing. My coworker doesn't speak fluent english and she was ridiculed and laughed at. When I called and spoke to Bryan he tried to convince me that he remembered specifically selling this to my coworker. Hmmm how good can someone's memory be to remember one specific sale or does he remember because it was defected and he was trying to get rid of it. Horrible experience with rude sales people and shaddy transaction. They charged me five times for a designer handbag I was purchasing as a xmas gift but told me I was declined in a dismissive manner then told me to sort it out with my bank. They were not interested in helping me and I had to dispute the charges thru my bank which took over a week with the amount of purchase times five wrapped up in neiman marcus' holding company. The manager gave me a gift card a few days later which I gave my wife who when to use it and was told it had no balance on it and the amount went back into my account that was charged five time which was not true. Poor customer service skills. This is by far the worst customer service I've received shopping at NM. I spend money the things I really want. I also feel as though when you want to be a accommodated and you spent your money, it shouldn't be an issue. The manager was rude and kept declining my request. She was also speaking over me which is unprofessional. She treated me like a child bringing up things that had nothing to do with her from another location. She treated me as if I was trying to do fraud or steal. The women's manager for shoes is completely complicated and not customer service savvy. Don't know how she made it to manager. When your telling a person you have blisters on your toes from a shoe and that the shoe is uncomfortable and you haven't worn them but around the house and they hurt like hell, and you were deceived at the time of purchase for numerous different reasons and they are on the defense like the money came out of their pocket, how can she be the manager. Purchased a pair of designer sneakers because the online site said it would be available same day pick up. Turns out their Omni channel capabilities are non existent as I have to wait three days for them to ship to the store nearest me. That's is not same day service or pick up availability and is false advertising. This is why Amazon is taking over. This is the first time I ordered something online from Neiman Marcus, and it's been the worst experience ever. I ordered the Baccarat Rouge 540 for $425 and they used Fedex (which is the worst logistic and shipping company) I ordered online to take advantage of the cyber Monday and get a 50 off which I really didn't cause I ended up paying $400 anyways. But the delivery gave the package away to a person outside the location and my pact got robbed. I called Neiman and they told me I have to wait 14 days to process the claim which it's not fair cause is not my fault the chose fedex to delivery such an expensive perfume. I wish there was a Chanel business listing. Anyway, I went to NM for a purse. The sales associates the handbag section were talking to each other. And instead of acknowledging me, I acknowledged them as I was interested in a bag. There was one SA I started q/a with. She left me and kept going to the back. So I spoke to another SA, and across the room the original SA yelled the other SA's name as "She's my Customer/Sale". Well, guess what incompetent SA? It's not your commission if you're shallow butt can't take the time to even help me. My husband suggets going to Chanel one hundred feet away. I went in just window shopping. But Gail Julian, the Chanel sales associate, who helped me was so informational and super sweet. She kept offering bags for me to look at. I told her a budget and she followed (EVEN though I didn't follow at the end). Generally, I love Neiman Marcus. This location is just o-k. The shoe department always seems to be out of my size. The cosmetic counter I frequent always seems to be out of my moisturizer. They will always offer to ship the item to you if it's possible...but sometimes you just want it then. You know? The home section upstairs seems to dwindle every time I stop in. The cafe is just ok. In reading the reviews of the rotunda restaurant at Neiman Marcus I see I am not the first customers to complain. After spending a couple of thousand dollars there we decided to grab a bite to eat. We entered the restaurant a little before 4 and was seated immediately. The lady that sets the table was terrific but I don't know her name . HOWEVER, it was all downhill from there. There were three of us and I ordered a grill cheese with fries for my grandson. We received our popovers however our broth never came. I asked our waitress Linda why and she said what do u expect coming so late in the afternoon, we close at 4. She said they threw the broth out. I let that go until my grandsons grilled cheese came with potatoes chips instead of fries. I told Linda we ordered fries and she said they turned the oil off already. I said the table behind us just received French fires and she said they ordered before us and it was shut after their order. I asked why they bothered to let us in if they werent prepared to serve properly. We paid full price for half the meal. An unsealed damaged box with defective item. When asked the customer service personnel about the product condition, all she said was "I don't know" and said I personally have to go to that particular section to see if they have a new one. I have spent two days trying to phone this store but no one picks up the phone!!!! Eventually someone picked up and put me on hold for 15 minutes. I phoned back 8 times in one day and got moved around from one department to another being left to hold on with no one picking up. I also left three messages on the managers phone in the ladies clothing department. Today is day three and I have yet to hear from the manager!!!! When I finally got to speak to the sales lady yesterday I was told that they would not accept my Amex card over the phone. So my son gets me this BonBon perfume for mother's day. I word it that day at work and no one made remark I have nice perfume on. couple of hours later I noticed doesn't smell at all. Went to return it today. I dont have the box I did use it 2 times but I have the receipt. I walked in the store by the perfume department and asked one lady to smell my arm and if she knows what I have on. She said she doesn't smell anything. Asked another lady she said same thing. Asked the third lady same thing. So I said , that's why I would like to return this perfume it doesn't smell at all. I had put it on only half an hr. ago. I didn't want my money back wanted to exchange for something else. They said NO. I couldn't exchange. I had no box and they couldn't resale. Why reseal if doesn't smell. $160.00 in garbage. Huge store with a good variety of high end clothing at decent prices. The men's section is large and has good deals to be found with some work. I love this store. There are good sales like the Midday Dash. There is not a big shoe selection, but they have computer pads where they can locate different styles and order them for you. The cafe located in it is awesome. I go everytime. Gary in the fragrance department always helps me, he is great. He is so sweet and a pleasure to talk to. He always remembers me and my family, he emails me when theres a special event and saves me samples he know I will like to try for future purchase. I always buy with him... We needed a suit fitted and tailored the next day. Charles in the men's suit section made it happen. He was absolutely incredible in helping us make the best decision possible. He taught us all of the different things that make a suit great from which buttons to keep buttoned, what shirts and ties could be incorporated in the future, the fit, the style and what is good for which age range. He even helped us pick out shoes that matched! Socks tie and shirt. (Different styles) He taught us suit etiquette and from now on we will ALWAYS be getting our suits here. The men's shop is a little on the small side for casual stuff but I never had an issue finding SOMETHING I loved...the men's shoe department however not so much - the buyer at Nordstrom's def brings their A game every season and the selection is a lot more comprehensive. I do like buying suits here and they always have a great selection of Zegna and Brioni and the shirts and ties are always top notch. Henry is always super helpful with finding the best shirt and tie combo and always recommends you buy 2 shirts and 2 ties for every suit so you dont look stale if someone sees you in the same suit twice - personally I think it is a great tip. I had an issure with one of the tailors here before - it was actually with the tux I wore for my wedding and had to have it altered 3 times...it looked decent for game day but I was seriously pissed it was not perfect for what I spent. Had it not taken so long, I would have gone elsewhere but since I picked it up a few days before I didnt have a choice other than riding it out. read more

Sandy, from the perfume department has absolute horrible customer service. I was standing around for ten minutes and still she did not come to ask us if we needed help (she was on her phone) and I had to go and ask her for help. When she came she seemed annoyed and just grabbed whatever cologne without double checking while still being on her phone. When I asked her a question she said she did not know and didn't bother to find out (who knows then? She's the one that works here.). She then asks for a drivers license (why?) and puts it into the system and an email pops up on the screen that is not my email and I let her know and she says that it did not matter. I told her to cancel the order and asked another lady for help. Sandy came rushing to us and started acting nice and twisting the situation around. With the new lady's help we then find out that Sandy did not give us an Eau de Parfum but an Eau de Toilette. First time and last time going to Neiman Marcus (no wonder it was empty). We then went to Macy's to get the RIGHT cologne, which was cheaper and experienced way better customer service! read more

I came in with my friend to test out Tom ford perfumes but they had about 20 different choices and I did not want to commit to spending $200 on perfume and have it end up not working with my body chemistry. So I asked the lady at the counter for a sample (she was very sweet actually). She took out the giant jar they have of the perfume ( gigantic blue bottle) which is literally like a flower vase with a giant opening. She then poured it into a tiny bottle with a pipette. When I opened the sample to smell it, it smelled nothing like the original perfume they have out. It smelled like a watered down with alcohol version of some cheap perfume. I asked my friend to smell it and she confirmed that all she could smell is alcohol and not a hint of the original perfume. I mentioned this to the lady at the counter and she justified it by saying "oh this is just how the perfume smells on you when it hits your skin". I am appalled that Neiman Marcus would have fake perfume out to give as samples to customers. How am I supposed to commit to this purchase if I never find out how this perfume smells on me? Giving out a fake sample is really not a great way to get return business as now I am going to shop elsewhere. Least I would expect from Neiman Marcus is fake peefum read more

I purchased a $1100 item online and needed exchange it for a larger size.. on 12/21/15 upon arriving at the store i was greeted by Sal Montisanos in the Mens department. i explained i needed exchange the item for a larger size and we found the size i needed. Sal then told me that we needed to refund my online transaction, and it would take about 3 days to hit my account. He then let me know i would have to charge $1100 again on top of the other transaction. Any consideration for the consumer??? Or a sales person trying to pick up a sale while I have to put up another $1100??? I mentioned to Sal that I had purchased with a online promo in which I would get a $300 gift card for the promotion..... His answer.... "no worries that shouldn't be an issue, here's my card call me if anything" At this point I became skeptical of the whole transaction and decided to call Neiman Marcus.... upon speaking to them I came to find out that if I did the transaction this way I would no longer qualify for the promotion. on the phone they promised to mail me the size that I needed and they would overnight it due to the inconvenience. I agreed to this and took it on the chin... just wanted to get the item so I could give it as a gift Christmas morning. I then get a email from them when I left that I was getting two day shipping and it would arrive 12/24. I paid it no mind due to the fact that i was gonna get it in time. Today 12/23 I checked for a email from them with a tracking number and hadn't received it. I called Neiman Marcus and the first thing they tell me is that there was a delay and I will be receiving it on 12/26... What a horrible experience and what a mess.... Luckily I searched the item to show it to someone and I found the same item at nordstroms for $330 less and will be picking it up shortly read more
