Dr Swann and his team are outstanding. I had Fuchs dystrophy in both of my eyes. My left eye was…read moreswiftly deteriorating last year. Dr. Swann monitored the progress and recommended for me to have a partial layer corneal transplant (DMEK) to address the issue. I am a high anxiety individual and he made me very comfortable. The prior year Dr Swann did my cataract surgery in both eyes with great outcomes. My left eye corneal transplant surgery went great as I was allowed to have full anesthesia and sleep through the scary part. Afterwards I had some issues with high eye pressure but Dr Swann performed a procedure in his office which immediately relieved me of the discomfort. Two months later I had the same surgery (DMEK) on my right eye with great results as well. No more Fuchs Dystrophy!!! and my vision is now 20/30 and 20/25. This is a great miracle in my opinion!! Throughout this entire process any time I have had a question or discomfort with my eyes the entire staff and Dr Swann have been very supportive, helpful and responsive. I recommend Dr Swann and Dr Tanous for any of your vision problems. The entire team at Brazos Eye center is the best!

The whole crew at Brazos Eye Surgery were great. I recommend them to everyone to at least get them to check your eyes, especially seniors with eye issues. The doctors there are the best you will find in the U.S.

I was referred to the Texas Regional Eye Center years ago for cataract surgery, but didn't do…read moreanything about it. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG? Each staff member was friendly and helpful, and Dr. Young was kind and professional. My surgery was two days ago -- easy and painless, and less than two hours from walking in to walking out. The result was immediate. I was almost blind in my left eye, and now it has 20/20 vision both near and far. The whole experience was incredible! Thank you!

I like the doctors and the nurses/assistants are all great as well but I don't like having to pay a…read morerefraction charge of $40 which insurance doesn't cover and never has and if one goes to an optometrist for a script there is not a refraction charge. I declined the script as the doctor said there was only a 5% change in vision and my current glasses are working well and when I declined a script at past ophthalmologist's office there was no refraction charge and yet this office still insists the charge is valid. If valid then why doesn't insurance ever pay? If it were medically necessary then I would think insurance would have to pay. And why don't optometrists charge for such? And why not give the choice to the patient up front if they want refraction or not? If it were just the doctors and nurses/assistants I would give them a 5 star rating but because of the billing practice I want to give it a 2 or 3 star rating but will relent and give overall as 4 stars.
