It is a pricey eye place. Has a few eye doctors and stations. It does have its own optic store for glasses and contacts. Why I say maybe is because they are not optometrists which means that you would really need special care for your eyes like if you are diabetic or other medical conditions. They do take care of people with normal vision impairments but they insist on dilation because that is what they do. They specialize in cataract and eye diseases. So far I have found them friendly but if you want just a regular eye exam then no, I do not suggest this place just for the reasons mentioned above. read more

I had cataract surgery about a week ago and can say I still am very happy here. I have Dr Quinius as my regular eye dr but Dr Liu stepped in for the cataract surgery. Dr Liu and his assistant are very pleasant calming and a joy to work on this project to help me be able to see better. Everything was organized well. The surgery went well and a week in the recovery is working out real well. I appreciate that dr Liu seems to err on the side of being more conservative w my treatment. Again I am happy coming here. I love the doctors and their assistants here. If only the office people could be a bit friendlier at times. Sometimes they are and sometimes they aren't. I don't always like going to the dr but it is easier to be here when the people seem to really care about you. read more

Run. Dr. Liu let our family down today in ways that he will never understand. An elderly patient of his has been experiencing full blown hallucinations due to macular injections. We reached out to him today regarding this and he told us there is nothing that he can do. Refused to prescribe her anything to help alleviate the anxiety and hallucinations occuring due to her optic nerve damage and injection side effects. He did let us know it happens in other patients with age related macular and it's called, Charles Bonnett syndrome. Our dear family member is experiencing full blown hallucinations and is afraid to sleep at night. Her entire family, friends and neighbors have been trying to help her. We hoped her doctor could. Apparently, not. We are deeply saddened and dismayed that her eye doctor, Dr. Liu, refused to help her. We were told, "There is nothing that can be done." We had to reach out to her General Practitioner to get a prescription to help. Dr. Liu, you failed us. We hope that in the future you listen to your patients more and put people before profit. read more

Sat in the waiting room for almost 20 minutes but the nurse and doctor were extremely kind and patient in explaining things. The office is really cute inside and the rooms are quite cozy. They dim the lights for you too, which makes sense for an eye place, but it was a nice touch. read more

We were told to be there at 2:30 for our appointment since my daughter was a new patient. We filled a whole two papers out that took 10 minutes and waited until 3 before going to the front desk and asking if they were behind only to be told that the appointment was for 3 because of paperwork we were told 2:30. At 3:30 we got called into the room to see Dr. Quinius but before he came in a lady came to fill out a questionnaire on the computer, there was a important backstory as to why we were there and she seemed uninterested to hear what has happened previously. The lady preceded to complete her checklist and left to get the Dr. Once he came in the room he briefly listened to some of what was going on then proceeded to look at my daughters eye asking questions here and there seeming like he wasn't quite sure of what was going on or what caused it he called Dr. Shutt in for a second opinion. Dr. Shutt seemed confident in his demeanor and that she needed steroids for her eye as the other Dr. still seemed confused as to why this happened also asking the other Dr questions I felt he should have known but he was sure she needed an antiviral oral pill as well. We left feeling confused and judged by her appearance as she is 19 with nose piercings and wearing her comfy T-Shirt (on break from college going for her bachelors) not the typical older well dressed clients we had seen in the office. I only add this because no matter what you look like you should be treated with respect and we didn't feel like this was the case. During the diagnosing discussion there were glances between the two Doctors like they wanted to say more but didn't which lead me to research the medications more once I left and decided I needed more of an explanation so I called and left a detailed message for the dr to call me back before I feel comfortable giving her the oral medication as she has had a few rounds of antibiotics lately already, he never returned the call. I did get a call today from some other lady who asked questions and when I tried to elaborate she cut me off and put me on hold. We are suppose to go back Saturday again just for a recheck to see if the meds are working needless to say after the experience we had we won't be back. read more

I've been going to Waco Eye Associates since 1973, with an exception of a few years. That was because of my vision insurance at the time would only let me go to certain ophthalmologist. They are the only place that can get my vision 20/20. I highly recommend them. read more

I have been going to Dr. John Liu for several years for my eye exams. He is friendly, down to earth, and an excellent ophthalmologist. Waco Eye Associates is easy to get to, located very near Providence Hospital, and it is the biggest ophthalmology practice in the area. read more

I went to have my eye examined for glasses and fit for contact lens. They got me in on the same day of April 2nd, 2016. However once I got there I had to wait 2 1/2 hours before they were done seeing me. When I asked about the contact lens, he said he wasn't told about the contact lens fitting, but could go ahead next door the where they would be able to help me. I went into the glasses/contact section and was then told the lady who does the fitting is off today and I would need to reschedule an appt. I never went back to be refitted. It was ridiculous to wait for 2 1/2 and then not even get fitted for contacts. I will not recommend this place to anyone I know. read more
