We ordered the beef yak and 4 wings w/ fried rice. The wings were okay, pretty usual from what you'd expect from a Chinese carry out, had a nice crisp but the rice was not good. It had a funny taste & was not at all seasoned. The yak gaw mein was not what I expected nor what I'm used to. It was very soupy & made with fettuccine noodles instead of the thick udon type. The flavor of the sauce was too sweet for my liking and clearly had a ketchup base. Also there were little too many onions. Overall, the customer service was good but the food was not the best so I probably won't be back.

(if you're familiar with that area, then you understand the criteria).. Absolutely blown away by the quality and taste of the food. Orders do take a bit of extra time as they're made to order and from scratch, but that's the least of complaints. Ordered 2 dishes of triple delight, chicken lo mein, curry chicken, and a few egg rolls and everyone loved their food. Friendly staff, ran by the family by the looks of it. Atmosphere is 3 stars at best. Minimal seating if any. Primarily designed for carry out. Officially listing this as the neighborhood spot!

Standout entree's include limoncello crispy shrimp, green beans, cucumber salad, pan fried pork dumplings, hot chili oil wontons, and bao buns with pork belly. Scallion bubble pancake with curry dip was fun for an interactive experience. Next time I would pass on the Kung pao chicken, salt and pepper shrimp and shrimp and chive dumplings. The plates are shareable and come out when ready. Our server was friendly. One suggestion is to play music on the third floor.

Crab Rangoon mozerella sticks: 10/10 whoever thought of this is a genius. Highly recommended. Southern soul Bao Bun: 8/10 the bun was a little too thick. Carne asada fríes: 8.5/10 very good just wished the fries were crispier. Asada was well seasoned. Hot stone short rib mixian: 7/10 the broth was lacking body and the meat was unseasoned. Adding in the bok choy increased the flavor. The food is rather good but they lack foot traffic. I think this place needs better outdoor decor to attract the eye. We were looking on purpose and almost passed it. Not having the 'all you can eat lunch' anymore and not having a liquor license puts them at a disadvantage to the other places in the area.

I usually stay away from Chinese food just due to the use of wheat noodles and soy sauce but having a few options that are safe and delicious is what really sets Peter Chang apart from other Chinese restaurants in the area. My favorites from the menu include: Crystal shrimp dumplings - so yummy and perfectly steamed. Comes with a sauce that might be questionable for my more sensitive gluten free foodies so proceed with caution. Absolutely delicious shrimp inside though! Scallion fried rice - comes with generous amount of egg and customized spice level. Goes great with a little extra tamari if you have some at home. Bok choy and mushrooms - omg, I think about this bok choy weekly! It's so perfectly cooked. Crunchy, full of flavor, and goes well with the mushrooms. I like mixing this into the fried rice. Singapore noodles - this was a new item for me but really yummy. Loved the thing rice noodles that had a nice chew to them and didn't fall apart. Seasoning was fresh and not overpowering at all. Comes with thinly sliced chicken and a few shrimp plus some chopped veggies. Add some of your own tamari to it for a little extra flavor! Delivery has always been prompt and dishes packaged well. I've never eaten in, as it's more of a casual takeout spot, but their food really fulfills my Chinese food cravings.

Chinese carry-out has a unique appeal to me; it is cheap. In most cases, you get what you pay for,…read morebut some places are surprisingly good. I craved some Chinese carry-out, and I had a previous experience with Peking House which proved positive. One indicator of good Chinese carry-out is how well the chicken withstands sauce, whether it is sweet and sour, General Tso's, orange chicken, etc., if it is crispy throughout, then mission accomplished. Peking House was on point. Although it was saucy, the chicken maintained its crisp texture throughout the meal. To take it a step further, I have some leftover and taste in the morning; it kept the crunch. Another indicator is the ratio of meat to veggie. A pass is 60/40 veggie, I know some people lean meat, but I like to feel good eating Chinese carry-out. The veggies need a little bite to them as well. I got the shrimp and broccoli, and Peking House met the perfect ratio, and the veggies maintained their crunch even into the next day. Dumplings, I love dumplings. But most Chinese carry-out dumplings are turds that have no taste. So I am looking for a dumpling with a flavor that will not look like I just a turd. The dumplings were flavorful and did not look like a turd. Finally, the fortune cookies, first off, fortune cookies are mandatory, but they also can't be stale. I had gone through a long streak of stale fortune cookies, and I cross my finger that I would be fortunate enough not to have a stale cookie. Peking House had the fortune cookies, and they were NOT stale. As long as Peking House serves the good stuff, I will keep coming back.
